Ethan took the money out of his wallet, setting it on the counter easily. It didn’t seem like the girl was paying attention to the money at the moment so he slipped another twenty on top of it. Maybe she could buy herself some lunch or something. He slid his wallet into his back pocket before picking up the bag that the clothes were in and offering them out to Rosie before she made her exit. “ Um..” Ethan said, narrowing his eyebrows a bit before he held the camera up. “ I thought you could make some use of it,” he said, straightening his arm out to hold it out to her. “ The only thing is, you’ll have to send me some pictures that you take with it. Deal?” he questioned as he lift his eyebrow at the end of his question.
Ethan waited until she took the camera from him before he flipped over his receipt, writing his number along the back of it. “ Here, so you can reach me,” he said before offering another quick smile. Ethan set the pen down before he gathered up all of the vinyl records he had purchased. He started to walk away before he turned , walking backwards toward the door. “ Come on now, what’s it short for?” he questioned as his lips formed slowly into a lopsided smirk as he backed up against the door, letting the bell jingle quietly as he looked across the store at her.

Rory counted out the cash he had handed her as Rosie went out onto the sidewalk to make a phone call apparently, and then Rory counted it again. She was about to tell him he'd given her too much when she looked up and saw him handing her the camera. What, he was giving it to her? Just like that? "Wait, seriously?" she asked taking it tentatively like it would just disintegrate in her hands, and looked him in the eye, "Thanks, that is really kind of you," she added sincerely. She didn't know what else to say. It wasn't every day complete strangers were that nice, most people in New York were kind of assholes. "Deal," she agreed. It was the least she could do, if he really wanted pictures she would send pictures. Rory smiled, shaking her head a little at how strange this entire encounter had been, but in a good way she supposed.
It became even stranger when he wrote his number on the back of his receipt, which, to be fair, how else was she supposed to reach him about these pictures, but what kind of celebrity gives out their cell number like that? She was beyond skeptical, yet beyond curious as well. Wasn't he worried about his number getting leaked? Not that she would, ever, but still. That was an awfully trusting thing to do. As he began to leave Rory's mind was reeling. Ethan Fox had just given her his number, and now he was going to expect her to use it... Ethan had turned around still inquiring about her full name. "Nope." she shook her head. She did not know him, he did not need to know about her embarrassing flower child name. Maybe he had decided she wasn't going to budge and had turned to go. Maybe she should tell him. He had asked politely after all. No, it wasn't as if it was important, why would he want to know anyways? Rory stomped her foot at herself, giving in to he internal struggle, "It's Aurora." he turned around to look back at her, as if he hadn't heard her properly she added, "Rory, it's short for Aurora." She immediatly regretted telling him and blushed slightly. Maybe he would just leave quickly. "But no one calls me that. My parents are hippies, it could have been worse."

Ethan smiled as he heard her say her name, turning to look at her with an expression asking her to repeat it. He gave a small nod as she did. He opened his mouth to say something about the pictures, or his number, or to even have a good day. But none of that sounded as pretty as her name. So instead he smiled, nodding his politely as he repeated her name back to her, “ Aurora,” he said, letting it slip off of his tongue easily before he pushed the door to exit out onto the streets of New York and rejoin Rosie Madison who looked like a kid about to explode from happiness.
