Ethan walked into the little vintage shop, cracking his fingers out of habit as he walked up to the counter. He smiled at Rory who was stuck behind some little magazine before he reached over and rang the bell on the counter. “ Hi,” he said, placing a smile on his lips. “ When do you get off work, now?” he questioned hopefully before he placed his forearms on the counter and looked over at her. “ I thought I’d take you to go do something that means a lot to me,” he said, figuring that was all he needed to explain on it. Instead of just being like ‘hey let’s go play soccer’, now she at least knew it was important to him. And he didn’t really figure she would really ask any further questions about it. Playing professional soccer had been something he wanted to do all of his life, but then life got ahold of him and his plans got sort of messed up. Now he felt like he was too old to get into it professionally. “ Hi, Scarlet Harris,’ his friend said as she entered behind him. “ She’s always campaigning,” Ethan whispered to Rory while looking her in the eyes. Declan had followed pretty closely behind Scarlet, getting himself almost distracted immediately by some of the vinyl records. Apparently Rory would be seeing a lot of Declan and Rosie in here together.
“ It’s all used….” Scarlet said with a grossed out face, wiping her fingers on Declans shirt. Ethan kept his eyes locked on Rory, smiling a bit. “ She doesn’t have the hipster gene,” he said, rearranging some of the pens on the counter. “ So we’re basically here to be a social buffer,” Scarlet said as she came up to the counter, offering a quick smile. “ You have a really good bone structure. You’re a little short, but you’d probably do really well in print modeling,” she said. “ Scarlet…” “ What it’s a compliment… “ she said before she started putting her hair up in a ponytail. “ You have to come play with us. Last time I played with her she made me cry like a little girl and it was pretty embarrassing because I didn’t have anyone to back me up. My fate is essentially in your hands. Lock up, yeah?” he questioned before flashing another smile in her direction. “ Do you have any Victor Feldman?...Old jazz?” Declan’s voice called out. “ Mate, come on. Not shopping. Soccer. Let’s go.” he said, turning his attention back to Rory.
