“That’s because you pick girls who look like they shop at K-Mart. From the clearance section,” she said, making a slight face before she wrapped her left around his lower back, standing on her toes to try and scan the crowd. But, he was right. No girl was really good enough for him anyway. Which worked out because she had dibs on him ever since he was born…literally. But if she took after anyone in her family, it was her father. And the sitting back and waiting patiently game had worked out pretty well for him. Even though her mom was madly in love with him.. she needed to come into her shell. Brayden was just fine with his shell. He needed to get into hers. “You’re right,” she said, looking up at him. “ I guess you’re stuck with me tonight,” she said, wiggling her eyebrows. “Kiss me, kiss me.” she said with a smile. “ But first, do you want to get some pizza? And maybe some more drinks?” she questioned, lowering her hand to hold his as she made her way toward the kitchen. “No, they aren’t dating. They just aren’t allowed to hook up with other people I think…. He’s so hot…” she heard one of the girls saying, before looking back at Brayden with a scrunched nose.

Okay, so Wes and Emma were sickeningly in love with each other, obviously. So weird. AJ could take a hint and get lost. She smirked, "What, really? I can't be to blame for him stumbling over his own words every time he talks to me." After a moment of thought she shrugged, "I could probably... hang out with him...?" AJ turned around to look for Ian, but saw him all smiles, moved on and chatting up another girl. "You know, he looks fine to me, over there talking to Lily Collins," she rolled her eyes playfully. At least he knew how to trade up. AJ tipped back her cup and drank what was left of her drink and then set it down on a table next to her, "Alright, I'm off to find Tanner." She smiled at Emma and gave her a thumbs up, leaving the pair of them to soak up each other's awesomeness or something. And she did find Tanner, chatting with some friends, "Hey Tanner." He was pretty. At least she thought so when he stayed over for dinner and she stared at him over her mashed potatoes.

Emma stared at Wes while he was talking, about being home, not knowing anyone at the party. His mouth was moving, she could see how nice of a mouth he had. And teeth, they were really white. What a nice smile he had. He was looking at her expectantly, "...Yes." she answered, thinking back to what he had asked her. Right, he didn't know anyone. "Yeah, of course." Of course i'll spend time with you. And have your children. Why couldn't she have been born first? Wes was talking about loving someone for their flaws, but Emma was pretty sure he didn't have any that she could see. AJ had gone off on a boy hunting expedition or something. "So um... do you want to go find something to drink?" Something that wasn't jungle juice or whatever was being passed around.

Brayden wondered if Kenzie even gave it much thought at all before deciding she wasn't picking anyone but herself for him tonight. That was okay, he liked being 'stuck' with Kenzie. No pressure. And he probably would still get a make out session from it. "Ugh alright, fine." he said, "I guess I could deal with you tonight. Again." He smiled, glancing down at her. He leaned down to kiss her, pressing his lips to her cheek instead and blew a raspberry. If they were gonna make out he would rather save it for later. People knew they weren't actually dating or anything, no need to make it more confusing for people. "Yes pizza," he responded, taking her hand as they left to find food and drinks. Yes, he heard what people were saying. He was hot blah blah. But he also knew he was with someone who was ten times better than any girl he could try to pock up at this party. "What do you think people would do, if we staged a fake fight," he laughed, taking a bite of pizza and holding it out for her.

Kenzie held onto his hand tightly as they maneuvered their way into the kitchen. When he asked what people would do if they staged a fight she couldn’t help but laugh. One of the things that they had never done was fight. Another was something that she had thrown herself at him for but he just kept tucking away like it was some sort of inconvenience. A girl could only throw herself at you like five or a thousand times before she looked desperate. Most people would think it was sweet that Brayden refused to sleep with her. Kenzie just found it rude and slightly offensive. Since when did he start calling the shots on their relationship?! Kenzie opened te pizza boxes, already hearing her mothers voice scolding her for eating something like that at a party. While her dad’s voice was all “go for the big slice,”. She could at least do one thing to make him proud at this party. But when she looked up, Brayden was offering her a slice of his pizza. Oh, she liked his better. Kenzie reached up, taking a bite from the pizza before leaning into his side. Yeah, his was better. “You know what would really throw people off after a fake fight? Fake make up sex.” she said, giving a nod. “I mean just to screw with people….”

Wes watched as AJ wandered off to go venture after some boy. Boy being the key word. He figured these young ladies would get their two cents together and go after real men when the time was right, but for now they were doing just fine. When Emma said that she would hang out with him tonight, he gave an appreciative nod. Surely she wanted to hang out with people her own age, so it was mighty nice of her to go out of her way and make him feel more comfortable. “Anabelle did send me with some lavender lemonade..” he said, giving her a quick smile. “Come on, now” he said, reaching for Emma’s hand and pulling her toward where all of the drinks were. Hey if she was going to drink, at least he was going to be around with her. “Maybe you outta save me a dance for later,” he said, leaning his back against the counter as he started mixing her a drink into a little dixie cup.
