Willie held onto his beer, turning it slowly in his hand as he listened to Rae. He was honestly sort of surprised how much he smiled and laughed along to her anecdotes about growing up. " Hey man, driving truck is a hell of a tough job," he said with genuine honesty. He grew up knowing a lot of those men. The miles that they put on the road were exhausting. And he could only imagine being a hair stylist was just as tiresome, having to stand around all day on your feet. Getting yelled at if people were assholes. Nearly chopping your fingers off. That was another thing Willie had to be tricked into doing. Hair cuts. "I think you'll get there some day. I mean, I know shooting Hollywood assholes for magazine covers probably isn't helping you achieve your dream." he said, getting an idea as he took a sip of his beer. "Actually you know what," he said, absentmindedly checking his pants pockets. Willie went into his office, coming back with a checkbook. Did anyone use those anymore? Willie did. Willie also had a soft spot in his heart for single mothers who were working hard. His mom had inadvertently became one. " I'm going to write you a check. You can either put it aside for little slobber bucket over there," he said, gesturing toward Jaxon. Maybe for college. Or a future art program. Whatever the hell the kid needed. " Or, so you can take some time off from sleazy magazine spreads to do some photographs that will land in an art gallery," he said, signing the check before pushing it toward her. " I'm going to check on the venison," he said, finishing off his beer before setting the bottle by the sink so he could rinse it out later.

"It isn't so bad," she smiled, about taking hollywood photos, "Hey, sometimes I get dinner out of it," she smirked. Willie had gone to get something, leaving her wondering when he came back with a check book, "No, i can't accept that, that's, no..." she , shaking her head. He went outside to check on the meat, leaving her staring at the numbers on the check. It was generous of him. And she truly could use the extra funds right now. She really couldn't accept it though. She wanted to protest when he returned, but she had the feeling he wouldn't take no for an answer. Instead she let out a breath, promising herself she would use it for something for Jaxon. When Willie came back she said, "You really needn't have done that... but thank you." There was no use in arguing with him. "What did you grow on the farm when you were growing up?" Rae didn't know much about farming, or gardening for that fact, so anything he had o say about it was new to her.

Willie set the plate of venison bacon bites on the counter before he started rolling his sleeves up. "Well we grew a lot of corn. That was mainly our produce. Then we had just about every animal you could imagine." he said, getting plates down so that he could set everything up. "My sister didn't do a whole lot with it," he said with a slight smirk. Moving over to a blender he took out a few sweet potatoes before putting them in the nutribullet along with some water and vanilla extract. After pureeing it, he put it into a small dish for Jaxon incase he decided he got hungry and set it aside. "But honestly, I get so tired of talking about myself.," he said, giving her a smile. Especially after a day where he felt like he was forcing his persona down people's throats. "Tell me some more about you. Or about Jaxon," he said, giving a nod of his head toward the small little guy. Willie picked the plates up, bringing them to the table before he sat down, stretching his arms tiredly.
