Mandi smiled as she saw the happiness in Nate’s eyes at the idea of getting to meet Riley’s little girl. “Yeah she’s gorgeous, so you’re going to love her. And she’s already a little bit of a flirt, so.. be prepared for that. Her favorite guy in the world right now aside from Riley is Ryan O’Neil.”. Not a bad choice, honestly. She hadn’t realized how quickly New York would feel like home once she moved out here permanently. She knew that she would have a friend in Nate, but being away from California and all of the bullshit that it had brought into her life, was one of the most refreshing things, and of course Nate only served to make it better. He tried so hard to make her happy, when in reality he didn’t need to do anything to make her happy, he just needed to be there. It had always been that way, even since when they were little. Every time something happened at home that made her upset, happy, scared, confused, the first person she always wanted to see was Nate. His parents had probably gotten used to her running through their front door and racing up the stairs to find him.
Mandi grinned excitedly and clapped her hands together when he agreed that they could get a penthouse together. She knew that their neighbors would most likely assume that they were a couple, especially considering with how they acted around one another, and their families will have a set expression of ‘ I told you so’ across their features. When in reality, it was just two best friends moving into their own place, to be adults and living away from their families and making their own name for themselves. “ I already have a few that I’m scheduled to go look at tomorrow, you can come with me.” she smiled as she spoke, realizing how excited she was something for the first time n a very long time. Moving into her own place would have been an adventure, a scary one at that so she was beyond thrilled that Nate had agreed to take it with her. She might have pretended like all of the protecting over her that he did annoyed her and was unnecessary, but she was actually pretty damn appreciative of it.
Mandi pushed her hair back behind her ear as Nate looked at her. It made her slightly uncomfortable, but only because Nate was the one person in the world that could read her like a book. He knew every time she lied not only to him, but to herself, when she was scared, vulnerable. He could see inside of her in ways that she never wanted to allow anyone else in, because it gave them all of the power in the world to crush you. She took in a deep breath and shook her head. “Nate, what do you think love is? Is it your world suddenly being better whenever that person is around? Them understanding you better than anyone else in the world? Spending your life with your best friend? Allowing yourself to be vulnerable around someone and trusting that they won’t hurt you? Caring more about them than about yourself? Staying up at night because you can’t sleep.. because your mind is racing about things that are going on in their lives? The fact that they can make you feel more like yourself and at home in the middle of nowhere, than anything else in the entire world can? You’re the only person I could ever come close to feeling those things for. And you and I? We are nowhere near in love. You don’t picture a life with me in our own house, with two kids and a dog. We think about how we’ll probably be neighbors, and see each other at cook outs or kids birthday parties. You are the best thing in my entire life, and if I can’t fall in love with you, then I can’t fall in love with anyone because .. if you can’t make me feel that way, then it doesn’t exist. “ she said sternly before she shook her head, “Besides, I’m far more interested in having my bed rocked than my world rocked,’. She gave a small shrug of her shoulder before she took Nate’s beer away from him and took a drink.

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Nathaniel wished that his cousins or someone that he knows have a kid so that he can play with them and spoil them. Well not really spoil them but to play and take them out for things. He doesn't get it where he gets it from all those baby talks but he can't wait to have one of his for him to spoil. "How cute! She can't help herself if all the guys are handsome for her. And Ryan? I don't remember him. I'll meet him at the little party." Nathaniel is just waiting for the welcome home party, he's getting anxious to meet the little girl and hold her. He still couldn't wrap his mind around that Riley has a little girl. He was certain that he's going to be a good father even though he doesn't remember his baby girl.
Nathaniel and Mandi, two best friends, were moving in together while people think that they're dating. He laughs when someone asks him if he's dating Mandi since he has pictures of her and him on his laptop and desktop---screen saver and wallpaper. All those pictures start back when they were kids to up to where they are right now. It memories of them of every trip they made, every p,ay they did, and just every thing that kids do. He has some pictures of Mandi when she left New York for California. "I would love to, but I'm little busy tomorrow. Just send me pictures of the places. Then we'll decide. Okay? I'm sorry, MoMo." Nathaniel felt bad for not going with Mandi to look at some penthouses, he has things to take care of that couldn't wait. If he knew that she was coming in town, then he would have took his day off and Mandi was an adult and could take care of herself.
He sighed as he looked at his best friend who was standing in front of him in his kitchen middle of the night. His tiredness was gone and was wide awake. Mandi had a point though it wasn't the blame of the past relationship she had or the guys. Nathaniel didn't know what to say to her, hoping that she'll come around. There was a doubt about Mandi liking him more than what they have. Yes, they have made out and stuff in the past, but the way that his best friend spoke with him, he figured something. "I get what you're saying, sweetie. Maybe in a weird way, yes. But you know that I never felt like that about you anymore. I'll admit that I wanted to date you years ago....right now? I'm just happy to have you in my life as my best friend and I love you dearly. There is someone out there for you and you'll find out when you do fall in love. When you lay your eyes on that guy that you want to see your future with, have kids, and pets. Or whatever you planned with your husband." Nathaniel wished that things had a different turn when they were in middle school or high school, it didn't. He knew that long distance doesnt work even how strong they are or madly in love. "MoMo...." He stopped losing train of thoughts and what he was going to say to her. It was middle of the night and he did not want to argue with her otherwise he'll feel bad about it which making him not sleep and in the morning he wouldn't able to concentrate.

Mandi readjusted her ponytail as she chewed on a few more of the cherries, biting the pits into the side of her cheek so she could talk, “ Ryan is the one that is the lead singer for The Maine,” she said as she dropped her hand from her hair. “ He’s on tour right now so I’m not sure if he’ll be there or not but he’s a really nice guy, I’m sure that he’d like to meet you sometime,”,that was one thing that was true of all of Riley’s friends. They were such a close knit family, and they treated eachothers actual family like it was their own. Any of them would help her out; and not necessarily because she was close with them, but just because of the fact that she was Riley’s sister. Mandi made a face of confusion as Nate started talking and finally she held her hands up, shaking her head. “ Natey you dunce,I am not in love you, nor am I questioning that it’s even a possibility,”. She pushed her hair away from her eyes as she tried to replay what she had said in her mind, to try and see where she might have confused him.
“ I was just saying, that on paper you’re perfect for me. And that SINCE I’m not IN love with you, then it can’t exist. Because on paper, when people describe love, you’re that person for me. But we’re not IN love. We just love each other.Huge difference..” she said as she leaned back against the counter. She had to admit that she had wondered a few times what it would be like to be in love with Nate. It would certainly make things easier, I mean everyone already assumed they were anyways and she wouldn’t have to waste time on a perpetual line of jerks that seemed to come in and out of her life. Mandi smiled as she realized something he had said to her, turning her body back to him. “ Natey Kyle Peterson!” she said with a lift of her eyebrow and placed her hands on her hips. “ You had a crush on me?!”Mandi laughed as she moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. ‘Aww Nate…” she squeezed him tightly and laid her cheek against his shoulder. “What a ‘Dear Diary…’ moment that must have been for you!”, she laughed as she stepped back and shook her head at him.
“ So you must have thought I was pretty.” she said, deciding her only option was to keep teasing him. “ Did you ever want to kiss me?” she questioned, obviously not talking about the few times they had hooked up. She narrowed her eyes at him, “Did you ever check me out when you thought I wouldn’t notice?”. Mandi clicked her tongue at him jokingly as she shook her finger at him. “ To think I trusted you enough to sleep in your bed nearly every night,”. Truth was there was a time where Mandi had seriously hoped that Nate would be the man she spent the rest of her life with. There would be nights where she cuddled up to him, trying to muster up the courage to tell him how she felt. But here they were, adults and neither of them had ever made the move, so it seemed like they had permanently landed themselves in ‘the Friend Zone’. “ Boy,if I knew you had a thing for me I would have used it to my advantage for ice cream runs, back massages, getting to choose a movie..” Mandi smiled tightly before she looked away from him. Yeah, teasing him was the best option; not ever admitting to how she once felt about him was an even better idea.

I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Nathaniel was positive that he knows Ryan that Mandi was talking about. Or it could be someone else. Ryan from The Maine....no wonder he heard of the name. He loves the all the song from the band and was shocked that Riley knew him. What a small world. "Hopefully he's there," he said smiling. He loves meeting new people and quickly they become his small family. That's what has been happening lately and one of his favorite person came back was a surprise. Nathaniel grabbed his empty beer bottle and threw it in the recycling can in the kitchen. He went to his fridge, opened it to take another cool beer out. Sadly he had forgotten to fill the fridge with beer. Rather couple of beer bottles.
He closed the fridge and turned around to see Mandi's confused face with hand up. Nathaniel didn't even know what he said to her in the first place. After a while it hit him like thousands bricks. He just embarrassed himself and confessed on how he used to feel years ago. That was something he should've kept his mouth shut. Nathaniel just couldn't believe---to top of that there his best friend was teasing him like he was some girl that would write in his diaries. Nathaniel mocked Mandi on what she had said about the whole diary thing. Now, he just wanted to get back at her for that...in a perfect time. "Uh.....um...shit I just told you my secret. Fuck. Now what?" Nathaniel smirked and raised his left eyebrow as he leaned down on her side. "You know, you could've recorded that and use it in the future. Know what I'm talking about?" He whispered in her ear then looked at Mandi. He didn't care that he confessed because it was the past and it was stupid for him to keep that away from her.
All the questions came flying to him from Mandi's mouth. Her sweet voice had excitement, anxious, and surprised. He didn't care about the questions but he has something in store for Mandi. "I'll admit I thought that you were very sexy but now....you're just eh." Nathaniel held his laugh but kept a straight face. "I used to check you out and everything and yes I wanted to kiss you and planned future but who knew that someone like will like a guy like me, who's a loser and stupid?" He sighed in the end while shaking his head. It was not true, there was something he wanted to see in Mandi's face. "Who went out to get tampons for you when you ran out? That counts. So don't you even dare to say like that." There were a lot of time where Nathaniel went out to get things for Mandi that he didn't mind. It was an excuse to see her and to get out of the house with his car. He did admit to the fact that he should've let her pick a movie for once, which he never did.

Mandi laughed quietly as she watched Nate try to explain away what he had said.” Uh huh.” she said, finally putting down the cherries that she had been working on. “ Maybe I did record it. I could be wired right now and you’d have no idea,” she said with another quiet laugh under her breath. Mandi propped herself up onto the counter and wrapped her arms lazily around her legs. As she rested her chin against her knee she smiled at him again.” Oh not just sexy, I got a ‘very sexy’ she joked with him sarcastically, unable to stop laughing at his little revelation. But when he called himself a loser, she rolled her eyes. They both knew that wasn’t true, and it was an absurd thing for him to say. “You’re not a loser.” she said with slight anger in her tone. “ Besides, if I could get Colt to fall in love with someone like me, then there is going to be a whole world of women out there that are just dying for you to fall in love with them, because they want to feel the same way about you,” she turned her chin away from her knee and rested her cheek against it instead. “ I’m not sure you’re aware of this Natey, but you’re kind of a catch,”.
Mandi rolled her eyes as he talked about the things that he had gone out and done for her. “ Yeah,well.. whatever. That’s just the price you pay for this friendship, buster. So I don’t want to hear about it,” she narrowed her eyes at him jokingly to try and seem tough. She hopped off the counter and went to grab one of the last few beers from the fridge. “ Alright I found out one of your secrets. Only fair – you can ask me any question and I’ll answer honestly,” she said, holding her hand up as a pledge. Mandi took a drink from the beer and leaned against the counter as she kept her eyes on Nate. She wasn’t really sure what he would ask her,or if he even would. “ Choose wisely,” she said with a smile across her lips as she awaited what he would have to ask her.

I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Things weren't going the way he planned, especially since he just told Mandi that he used to like her. Every time he sees her, she just keeps on getting sexier. It was like she's doing it on purpose. Nathaniel relaxed a bit more then he had been earlier, after he just told his best friend everything. He tried very hard to explain to Mandi, but didn't work. She knows him too well. "Oh please. Oh please. Don't show it to the cops, they'll put me in jail then who would bail me out?" He frowned and looked away from Mandi. After couple to few seconds, his hands went to Mandi's small waist and tickled her. "You've been naughty little girl." Nathaniel laughed as he stopped tickling her and looked at her.
Nathaniel was playing around about the whole loser and stupid thing. And didn't expect Mandi to get all serious about that. He thought that she playfully punch him and tell him that he's an idiot or something like that. "So you're saying that they rather date me than Colt? Because I'm honest?" Nathaniel was confused on what Mandi meant about that. Whatever it was, it was nice to hear that from her. A girl. He didn't know that and honestly didn't want to hear that either. He doesn't try hard, it just come to him. Maybe because he's a cheesy romantic fool, who is waiting for a right person that'll love him. He still doesn't know why he's single...he does know. It's because of Mandi. His last girlfriend didn't like the fact that he was constantly talking about his best friend and that made him a choice between her and his best friend. Of course he picked Mandi, who he has known for years. "BS! I don't think of that way and will never do. I appreciate of you saying that. It means a lot." Nathaniel hugged Mandi really tight then he let her go. He loves her a lot, if they ever got in a fight over a stupid thing, he'll blame himself for risking a awesome friend.
He had one question. Just one. Nathaniel put on his thinking face, tilting his head a little and looking up. Nathaniel didn't even know what his question is going to be. Whatever it was, he knew that it had to be good one. Not just stupid question that has no meaning to it. "You know what? I think about the question and get back at you on that one. It's going to be a tough question. I don't even know," he said as he looked down, still in a thinking process. There were so many questions for her but neither of them were the right one. He shrugged away as he leaned back on the kitchen island, looking at the dark dining area.

Relationships had always sort of been hard for both of them. People had a hard time understanding how close she and Nate were and it resulted in people forcing them to choose between their best friend, and the relationship. Nate would always win; mainly because he would always be there for her and he’d proven it many times. When he tickled her she tensed up quickly and laughed, placing her back against his chest. “ Cheating! Cheating!” she yelled at him, trying to curl away from his quick tickling fingers. When he finished tickling her, Mandi ran her hand over the fabric that covered her stomach and readjusted her shirt so that it fit loosely again instead of being bunched up from being tickled. “ You know too much about me,” she said, about the fact that he knew exactly where she was ticklish, her fears, her guilty pleasures.Everything. Mandi smiled at him as he asked if she would rather date him than when she had dated Colt. She thought about it for a few moments before she finally nodded. “Yeah I think at the time,I would have rather dated you than Colt.But.. He was a good boyfriend for high school. “. Colt had been a really attractive football player, and he had been fairly popular at the high school, so dating him was probably a smart decision for her high school life.
“But I’m getting older.More mature. Supposedly,” she said with a small smile across her lips. “Which means that I need a man, not a boy. But I’m not going to worry about that,… waiting for love to happen to me, would be like waiting for.. calorie free chocolate. “ she smiled as she tilted her head back to watch Nate again. He was so handsome that sometimes it caught her off guard. She wasn’t an idiot, she saw the way women looked at him. Even she could see it sometimes, and the way that his muscles were taught against his body. But then she’d distract herself so she would stop thinking about it. He was her best friend, and she was supposed to appreciate him for his humor and wit, not the way his new jeans fit against his hips. But to be fair, just because you thought someone was physically attractive, it didn’t mean that you wanted to be with them. If you tried to pretend someone wasn’t attractive just because you were friends with them, then you were a liar and an idiot.
Mandi wrapped her arms around him as he hugged her, and she kept her arms around his lower back tightly in the hug until he let go of her. She watched him curiously as he seemed to be thinking over what question he was going to ask her.But when he decided to wait, she was slightly surprised. He was going to take this a lot seriously than she thought he would. “ Good lord you’re waiting for either the most personal question,or the most damaging one,” she said as she nudged his hip with her own in walking past him. Mandi placed her hands on the counter and strummed her fingers before she tilted her head back at him. “ Alright Nate. You’ve got me in New York and I’m all yours for the time being. What are we going to do?” she questioned, leaning against the counter and folding her arms against her chest.

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin There was no doubt that both of them were very loyal best friends that never kept anything away from each other. Well other than the fact that they both used to like each other. Nathaniel always believed that if it's meant to be then it is, if it isn't then don't push it. Both of them have each other backs no matter what goes on in their lives. They're like the perfect couple but only as friends. "That's what you get for being best friends with this man." He knew every detail of her life, like she does with his. Nathaniel was a good friend, always kept his words, kept good balanace between friends, stayed close with them, and helped them out when in trouble. Over all he's just a honest, trustworthy person that gets along with everyone.
Nathaniel never met Colt, Mandi's ex, but from what he heard from Mandi, he sounds like a person who isn't right for his best friend. Maybe a player, that has two girlfriends at the same time. He was surprised as Mandi said that she would rather date him than Colt. After high school. girls want a man who knows what they're doing not some boy who relies on his parents for things and treats his girl bad. "So I'm a man now? If I remember clearly you said I wasn't a man." He said the words that she had said earlier to him. What he really hated was the fact that people thinks that they're getting old when they're in their late teens or early twenties. Nathaniel was early twenties and didn't give what people thought of him. He's still young who loves to have fun, hang out with his friends, and go out on the weekends---that is if he isn't too busy. Nathaniel placed his hands on either sides of Mandi's face and looked right in to her eyes. "You're eighteen, for crying out loud. I'm twenty-one, who's young and doesn't give a shit on what people say or think. We're young, we're supposed to be having fun...and I'm not talking about smoking pot or getting drunk that we're not even able to walk right. And stop counting calories. You're not going to get fat if you eat chocolate with hundred-something calories." Nathaniel was serious about it, he didn't like it when people count calories or sees how much fat there is. He doesn't even know how much calories he eats in one day and isn't planning on counting them either.
He wasn't going to ask anything---not right now, anyway. There wasn't much to say about the whole question deal thing. "Maybe both. Who knows. Time will tell." Nathaniel wished that he had a clue what the question is going to be, but his mind wasn't working right. It was middle of the night, what did he expect...he's tired and want to go to sleep. His body is telling him that but his mind just wants to stay up and talk to Mandi. "How about some re---" He yawned a little and blinked couple of time. "Rest?" He finished the sentence as he looked at Mandi. Looking at Mandi, he figured that she wasn't tired for one bit but him on the other hand, he was exhausted.

“ Oh the torture!” she exclaimed sarcastically as he commented saying that was what she got for being best friends with him. “ You’re right maybe I should revaluate my friendships. You’re just not cutting it.. but try again next year. You might make the team,” she said before she kissed his cheek and laughed to herself. Mandi smiled as she started cleaning up the small mess that she had made in the kitchen by digging through his refrigerator. “ I did say you weren’t a man.But now you are. It’s been a crazy productive fifteen minutes.” she said with a smile as she looked over her shoulders, washing her hands in the sink. Mandi stopped working on the sink as Nate placed her hands back around her cheeks and smiled at the way that he spoke to her. “ Trust me Nathaniel. I’m in no rush to grow up. At all. “ She decided to tease him a bit and took in a deep breath. ” But you really shouldn’t knock pot till you try it at least once or twice,” she said keeping a straight face. “ I mean, what do you think I did every Friday night after the football game when I was done cheerleading? I lit up,” she nodded seriously. “ Colt’s influence,” she said before picking up Nate’s beer and finishing it for him, throwing the container away in the recycling before she turned back to him.
“ And apparently I do need to count my calories if I went from ‘very sexy’ to ‘eh’. I’m eighteen and I already passed my peak!” she said looking down at her stomach as she felt her fingers against her skin, trying to press and find anywhere that had extra weight. Mandi had sort of been addicted to working out in high school and it had been an obsession that carried on with her after she graduated. She tilted her head as she watched Nate and smiled as he yawned. “ Fine we can go to bed. Where do you want me to sleep?” she said as she tilted her head and crossed her arms . “ And you’re carrying me up the stairs. I flew across the country…”’ she said, trying to feign exhaustion as she forced a fake yawn that turned into a smile as she looked at him. Nate was going to be a good man for someone someday, and she knew that in order for him to be happy he would need a family. It would be nice to see him get to become a father some day when she knew it was something he wanted so desperately. Mandi used to dream about those things, being a wife, being a mother. But somewhere after what had happened to her in her junior year of high school, all of those dreams just vanished. She no longer wanted any of it, and she no longer believed in love. Riley was constantly telling her how someday there would be a guy that would make her change her perspective on all of it, but Mandi knew that if that were true… the guy would need to be a powerful force, a wrecking ball to tear down all the walls she’d built up.

I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Nathaniel thought about it for a minute and rolled his eyes at Mandi. She was kidding but he's going to take advantage of that and say something that he's been dying to say to her. "Mandi Collins..." Nathaniel got on his one knee as he did he took Mandi's hand in his and looked up. "It would be an honor not to make that team. Frankly..." He got up, still holding her hand in his "you're insane. But you won't find anyone like me. You can't replace this sexy thang." Nathaniel smirked and winked at his best friend. He knew very well that she wouldn't replace him for anyone, he knew her too well for that to happen. If they haven't fought in years what gives it away that she'll replace him.
Nathaniel looked at Mandi like she was crazy or something on hearing what she did after games. At first he thought he didn't hear it right then seconds later he realized what she was doing to him. Teasing him. "Oh right! How could I forget that my best friend is a druggie. Or was anyway. One of the reason for me to beat up his white ass. Making my girl all naughty when she was all innocent and sweet when she left, comes back as a druggie. Tsk. Tsk." He shook his head in a disappointment. He was glad that Mandi doesn't want to grow up in a rush and that she's taking her sweet time on it. But she did have a point about needing a man not a boy. That he could understand.
Nathaniel placed one of his arm under her knees and the other behind her neck for support and cradled her after he turned off the lights in the kitchen. The moon light was enough for him to see the stairs and from there he could see lights from his room that he had forgotten to turn off when he was dragged down. "That's why you're so skinny. You were perfect when you hundred and fifteen pounds, now you're just ninety-something pound of hotness. I really missed you, MoMo. You have no idea how things were after you left every year when the summer ends. I'm glad that you're back even for the bad reason but I'm glad." By now he was on top of the stairs and going to wards Mandi's room, he placed Mandi on her two feet, opened the door, turned on the lights and pushed Mandi in. Nathaniel walked in, laid down on her bed and looked up at the ceiling.

Mandi couldn’t help but laugh as Nate got down on one knee and took her hand. That was probably the only time in her life that was ever going to happen, and of course Nate was kidding. As he stood up and kept his hand on hers, she twisted her fingers around his own to hold onto him tighter. “ True, it isn’t easy. I’ve been trying for years,”she teased as she nudged his chest gently. There wasn’t a single soul in the entire state of California that compared to Nate’s, and she would wager that he was one of a kind no matter where she went. She could travel the world and the best pair of arms to have wrap around her would still be his. Mandi laughed as he called her a druggie and nodded. “ Huge drug problem. I can’t get enough of the stuff,” she narrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Nate like he had lost his mind, though she couldn’t stop smiling. “ Your little ass is white, too Nate.” she laughed, trying to picture him and Colt in a fight.
“ I’ve never been sweet,” she said enthusiastically as he began to pick her up. Mandi curled against his chest and laid her cheek against his collar bone, letting herself sink against the familiar features of his body. She closed her eyes as he carried her up the stairs, realizing suddenly just how tired she actually was. She kept her eyes closed as he spoke, just glad to be back somewhere that felt like home after so much in her life had changed. “ Well I’ll try to gain my fifteen pounds so I can be perfect for you again,”. Mandi wrapped her arm around his shoulder as he set her down so she could stable herself before she looked inside her room. She smiled, “ Well I missed you too. But thankfully we don’t have to miss each other anymore,” she said. She stumbled into the room as he pushed her and shook her head at him. “ So mean,” she said jokingly as she walked further into her room.
Mandi watched as he walked into the room and laid on her bed. Apparently she was going to have company tonight. Mandi shut the door and turned off the light before she made her way over to her bed and climbed onto it. Crawling her way up the mattress she moved under the covers and curled up to his body. “ Good night, babe. Don’t let the bed bugs bite” she said as she sat up on her elbow and leaned down to kiss his cheek. She smiled at him through the darkness before she turned easily into his body, laying her head against his chest and draping her arm lazily over his hips and stomach. She never would have dreamed a year ago that she would have moved to New York, getting a place with Nate, and basically starting over new. But life had thrown her a few curveballs, and she was fortunate as hell she’d have him to help her through it.

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin He hadn't forgotten that his ass is white or anything. What he really wished for is to beat but Colt for being a jackass to his best friend. He knew how to fight but doesn't know how Colt looks like or if he can fight good. Even if he is, Nathaniel will always have back up by his boys. That's a thing with Nathaniel, he keeps his back on his friends and same with his. They're just one call away if anything happens or he needs them. "You better cheer for me when if me and your lovely ex get in a fight. Of course I'll win." Nathaniel was positive on that one, he would win the fight even if Colt was a better fighter and more built than him. He got his connections which he isn't scared to use it.
It was for him to decide whether Mandi was sweet or not before. To him, she was and also rude but she was playing around with him. When she said that she'll gain fifteen pounds, those words lighten his ears. Fifteen or twenty pounds gain, she'll still be his best friend that he loves dearly who'll do anything for her. "You're perfect in your way and don't try to please other guys please by doing things...I know that you won't but doesn't hurt to say it." What else can he say to her? Nathaniel doesn't want Mandi to change for anyone, she was perfect for him and any guy out there. What he doesn't understand is the fact that why she keeps comparing guys to him. He just hopes that everything works out in the end and that she finds the guy that's way better than him and loves her the way she is. More over, accepts him knowing how close they are.
Nathaniel was drifting back to sleep like he had before interpreted his sleep. But it was worth it in the end. He placed his arm around Mandi once she was curled up next to his. "Good night, dear." He whispered in her ear and kissed her head. This felt good after so many years. This is what he has been waiting for, her in his arms while they're sleeping. It was only for few hours before he gets up and gets ready for another busy day. He was just few meetings away from having his own place with Mandi. That he can't wait. He rested his head on her head and went to sleep.
