[Taboo + Some ] Initiation

Lance finished drinking his sweet tea quickly and set the glass down before he looked over at people filtering in. He really was tired, but nowhere near as tired as these Taboo kids were. He laughed sarcastically at Scarlet as she called him a twit to get his attention. He offered a wave to the guy, Zach before he stood up from the table since he saw Kiersten coming in. He couldn’t help but laugh as he walked past Scarlet, watching her shove a roll in Madeline’s mouth in order to do what… get her to quit talking?That was weird. ”Hey “ Lance said as Kiersten stood in front of him.He smiled down at his best friend and wrapped his arms around her so that they were resting on her shoulders and leaned down to kiss her hair. “You gotta quit working so much,” he said as he tried to mock a stern expression and shake his head at her.

“ Let’s frikkin’ eat” he said as he looked out at everyone else, slightly annoyed that it was taking everyone so damn long to get there. Hell he’d shown up on time. He wanted food. He was hungry. He sat back down, assuming that Kiersten would sit down by him. He watched her as she moved through the dining room. She knew how other men watched her. Hell her and Mackenzie both knew how men did.But Kiersten seemed completely oblivious as to how he watched her as well.He coughed before he sat up and thanked Blake for refilling his glass of tea and looked at everyone.He leaned forward and started putting food on his plate before he turned and grinned back at Kiersten. ”Do you want to come to set with me tomorrow?” he swallowed the bread he had been chewing before he looked back at her, and smiled hoping she would agree to come. He was stoked as hell that Ryan and Shane were home, but he wouldn’t get a chance to really kick back with them until someone threw a party he was sure. Or until someone had a bowl.

[Katy Alexis Sutton]

Kat smiled to herself as she sat down at the table.There was not a doubt in her mind that she was in love with Shane Madden.And the crazy part about it was that neither of them really expected it.Mess around, have some fun,play some xbox,eat some popsicles. And somewhere down the road she had fallen in love with this really,really really great guy who just let her be herself. It sort of made her feel like she was dreaming sometimes,how perfect he honestly he was. She knew that to other people they were strange and offbeat,but there were moments with him where he was the most normal,amazing, beautiful thing she’d ever seen in her entire life. Maybe they fell asleep playing xbox with controllers in their hands,but they woke up with their arms around each other,and feeling his heartbeat through his chest, just to know that someone as amazing as him was real was..breathtaking. He was a walking miracle in her opinion and she loved him more than words could express. She smiled as she saw him coming into the dining room and pushed his chair out for him with her foot. The thing she thought worked best in their favor was the fact that they were both so new to love. They didn’t know how to play games, and honestly neither of them would want to anyways. They stumbled upon the developments in their relationship; being official, saying ‘I love you’, moving in together. And they did it clumsily, but they did it in their own way and it was perfect for her.

Kat smiled as she took a drink from her own glass, wanting more than anything just to be home with Shane. But Blake would kill them if they left, plus Shane needed to see everyone see he had been on the road. She looked up and realized that Scarlet had brought someone with her. Which was strange because Kat had known Scarlet since high school and she…well the last person she brought anywhere for any type of event was Logan. She chewed her bread slowly as she watched some of the interactions before she raised her hand and waved at Zach. ”Welcome to dinner!” she said though she instantly sat back in her seat. Welcome to dinner. Really? Kat picked up her fork and stole one of the mushrooms from Shane’s plate in the sauce and sat back.

[Mackenzie Janelle Collins]

Mackenzie pulled her car up to the house, getting out and getting Lily out of her car seat. She left the stroller int eh car, just taking Lily and grabbing her purse before she went inside. Of course she'd already put Lily in a new outfit just because she couldn't she couldn't fricken help it and she looked to fricken adorable in her little juicy couture dress with leggings. Mack went inside. "Hi!" She yelled before setting her purse down with all the other purses and heading into the kitchen to see Blake, "Sorry, sorry, sorry, I know we're late, but look how cute this is." Mack held Lily up in front of her, grinning. "Oh," Mack set holding Lily back against her hip, "Is that pasta I smell?" Mack looked at all the pasta, her mouth watering, "Oh my gosh Lily, don't you wish you were eating regular food already... Blake I love you so much." Mack hugged her friend with one arm, "Want to divorce Renner and marry me instead? I swear I appreciate your cooking more." Mack laughed, "Oh, hang on, you're not mine, I have to get you to your daddy." Mack said calmly to Lily, heading out to the living room and smiling at Riley, "I brought her back in one piece. She missed you." Mack handed Lily to Riley, and as he took her she leaned down out of habit and kissed his cheek. Whatever. He didn't remember but he was still her boyfriend.

"Okay let's eat, I'm so hungry." Mack led the way to the table, taking a seat and indicating for Riley to sit beside her since the high chair was next to his seat. She understood that Riley didn't remember her, but that was all the more reason to help him remember, or at least give him lots of opportunities to get to know her again. This is what it was, she loved him, and he didn't love her. But that didn't mean he couldn't again. And she had made such a point in Malibu that she was not going to give up on him and she wasn't about to now. If anything, he needed her now.

[Scarlet Rose Harris]

Scarlet pushed her hair from her face again and stood on one foot as she made herself a plate quickly and set it down on the table. She set a drink for herself by her plate and set one for Zach at the seat next to her. She smiled as some of the people introduced themselves to him, including him like he was one of them all along. But is that what she wanted? Did she want them to just accept him that easily?For him to be a part of her world? He was doing a hell of a better job at it than Bolton would have. Scarlet smiled as she watched Zach and set her fork down. She walked over to the couch he was sitting at and smiled as she looked down at him. ”… You’re a lot better at this than I thought you would be. Not that I expected you to fail but…we’re kind of an intimidating group of people. Not like,we’ll kick your ass intimidating. But in a..we’re extremely close and will protect each other at all cost, good luck trying to get your foot in the door to be a part of this group..kind of intimidating,”Scarlet couldn’t help but smile as she looked back down at him.

Scarlet leaned down and kissed him, effortlessly , as though she’d done it a thousand times since their first kiss that Friday night from the concert. To be fair she had kissed him, but probably not a thousand times. Maybe. She’d told him before that he made her nervous, they’d spent time together. But she wouldn’t call it dating, cause honestly.. two friends,hanging out, who happened to like kissing each other. Didn’t that just sound more fun than ‘dating’? Scarlet leaned closer into him, eager to kiss him. She rested her forehead against his, only to whisper to him quickly. “ I like you. That complicates things’ she said with a smile before she kissed him again. Scarlet stood back up straight before she took Zach’s hand and pulled him to the table so that they could eat with everyone else.

[Madeline Lea O'Neil]

Madeline was still spitting roll out of her mouth when she looked at Ryan and Shane, who obviously weren’t reacting very well to her joke. “….What?! It was funny!” she said before she shook her head at them. She laughed as Shane teased her, and watched Kat go back into the dining room after her little exchange for Shane. ”Okay sorry I didn’t understand there were teams. I thought we were still playing Portal. And all of the sudden there are dogs and you’re telling me to shoot them. I can’t shoot the dogs, even if they’re attacking…they’re dogs!” Madeline shook her head at him. Shane was such a goofball sometimes, but he was a big teddy bear at heart. She ruffled her fingers inside his hair and shook it out lovingly. He honestly was like a brother to her, which meant a lot considering what happened with David and her relationship with Joel.
Madeline smiled politely to Zach before she held her hand out, ” Hi I’m Madeline Foster-O’Callaghan, we’re really excited to meet you. Scarlet never brings boys ‘home’. You’ve gotta be pretty important to sneak your way into a family dinner’ she said with a smile across her lips. She walked away from them and sat down at the dining room, choosing to be across from Ryan instead of next to him. She picked up her glass of water and took a sip as she slipped off her heels and stretched her legs out to find Ryans legs. She placed her chin in her hand, looking away from where Ryan was and looking at Blake and Logan. They were so damn cute. She did everything she could to avoid looking at Ryan but beneath the table she had wrapped her legs towards him in every way she could.

[Joel Carter Foster]

Joel laughed at Logan as he said that Blake would hit him with a spatula. It was kind of cute the way Logan took charge of Blake when she was at the studio, but when they were at home.. if mama ain’t happy….They had a good way of balancing their relationship, which they needed considering how opinionated and passionate they both were. “ Alright boss I’ll know my place,” he grinned. He opened his mouth, wanting to ask about Dani but then closed it again. “ We can talk about it on Monday,” he grinned before he headed into the dining room. Of course Madeline was late, but she wasn’t the person they were all waiting for at this point. Mackenzie better be glad that Blake loved her, because every person that came in late was getting a once over that felt colder than the arctic from Blake. But as quick as she was to get pissed, she got over it, hugging people as they came to approach her.

Joel sat down at the table and looked down at the pasta. Damn, he was hungry. He shook his hair to the left and lounged lazily in his chair. His napkin fell from his lap and he leaned down to get it. When he looked up while leaning down he saw four legs just tangled around each other. That was weird. Joel blinked before he looked above the table and looked at Ryan and Madeline. Not even looking at each other.He shook his head, maybe he was seeing things, before he looked back beneath the table where Madeline was tracing her foot against Ryans. He sat back up and looked at Ryan and Madeline. Wow, they really thought they were going to get away with Madeline having an affair. “ I knew it,” Joel said as he looked at the two of them with a serious expression across his face. After a few seconds when others had looked at him he pointed his fork at Ryan and smiled slowy. “ I knew you’d be glad to be home. To be back on your feet.”’ He ate some of the spaghetti as he watched them.Yeah his dad might be happy that Ryan and Madeline hadn’t given up yet, but seriously, she was married. They both deserved to treat each other better than that.

[Blake Emma Renner]

Blake was just about to make her way into the dining room when Logan had stopped her and wrapped his arms around her. She tensed slightly as he placed his hands against her stomach but then smiled and tilted her neck to the side as he kissed. He said that she looked pretty and she heard the scoff escape her lips before she actually felt it. But there he was again, saying he was serious. She smiled again as he kissed her cheek and watched him walk away. It was always a treat to watch him walk away, he could wear a pair of jeans like nobody’s business. She sighed to herself as she watched him and then shook her head, trying to refocus back on pasta. He was right about Scarlet, she wasn’t really one to open up about anything , but she figured Logan would have been the one person she talked to. Blake shrugged it off as she started setting the table, putting certain drinks in certain spots since she knew who would want to sit by one another. But wait, she stood up straight. She couldn’t put Madeline’s drink by Ryan’s anymore. Could she? Or would that be weird. Blake held her hands on the top of her head as she tried to shuffle seats around,more for Ryan’s benefit than Madeline’s. But then again Ryan wouldn’t want anyone to act any differently or treat him any differently, so she shuffled the glasses back to the way they originally were. “ Wow” she said beneath her breath. It was beyond confusing and she wasn’t even a part of it.

Blake put her hands on her hips as she watched Logan and Joel. Not a chance in hell they were talking about business. She narrowed her eyes as she watched them. Good.She didn’t have to hit anyone with a spatula. She turned back to the kitchen and went to get the rest of the food to set on the table. To go along with the Italian meal she had made a few pans of tiramisu for dessert, and even went to the store to buy some chocolate gelato which she figured people could put Italian chocolate chunks in and covere with caramel syrup. But she wasn’t going to tell any of them that yet, she would just set it down in front of the ones that would be the most excited about it; Shane, Ryan, Kat. Blake looked up in time to see that Logan was helping her. She smiled again as she watched him. “ For a boybander you turned out to be a pretty good man, Renner” she said quietly before she stood on her toes and kissed him. “ I’m just glad you hit puberty, I was kind of worried about that one for a while with all of the pop-py music and lunging boy band dance moves. And if you’re daughter is going to be a diva… it’s going to be because you and I both know you are going to spoil her rotten.” she said as she smiled at him, referring to how he had said she would be a diva. She kissed him again since she noticed everyone was starting to file in and squeezed his hand tightly. “ By the way my father told me to tell you he was sorry he missed your call and he’d call you back tomorrow,”. She said, patting him on the butt quickly before she went to take her seat so they could all eat. Blake sighed as she heard Mack coming in late. “ You’re late!” she said through frustration, but Mackenzie was already apologizing and Blake placed her hands on her hips. “You can’t use a baby to distract me… though that is really cute. If you want we can move to Utah and Logan can have more than one wife,” she said casually before she smiled , watching Mackenzie take Lily over to Logan. “Okay..eat..” she said as she looked at everyone and started to make her own plate.

[Riley Scott Collins]

Riley laughed and shook his head at Shane,”For some reason I don’t think anyone here really has to worry about getting laid,” he said before taking a drink from the bottled water he had gotten earlier. He looked back at Ryan, giving Kat and Shane a moment of privacy. ” Hell man I’m looking forward to some of those,” he grinned as he looked over at him. Ryan seemed like a cool guy, if he said they were close friends than they probably were. It looked like everyone was heading into the kitchen but he laughed as Scarlet came in and kissed Zach. He gave Ryan a knowing look,” She must think he’s funny”he joked before he headed to the dining room. It wasn’t long after that he heard Mackenzie come in and he felt a little relieved that they were both back. He smiled, seeing that Lily had a new outfit. “ Hey princess” he said as he stood up to see her. He couldn’t help but grin as Mackenzie kissed his cheek and said that Lily missed him. ” Well I missed you girls,too” he said leaning down to kiss Lily on her cheek.

Riley nodded at Mackenzie as she gestured for him to sit next to her. “ Yeah,” he smiled down at Lily before he looked at Shane. ” Hey man this is her.” he said, showing her off as he lowered her down into her seat. “Oh hey Kenzie,what did you want to drink?” he said as he headed back into the kitchen. He had left Lily’s bottle in there and he figured he would grab Mackenzie something to drink since she sat down so quickly. Riley took some of the dissolvable banana crackers out of the package and set them on the tray in front of Lily, knowing she’d probably end up licking them and throwing them at people, but whatever. It kept her occupied. Riley went into the kitchen to get the bottle, Mackenzie’s drink and himself a new bottle of water before he set it all down and sat by Mackenzie. He smiled at her, “How much did today cost me? Actually, I don’t want to know.I’m just glad you guys had fun,”he looked over at Lily, who looked adorable in her little outfit and shook his head with a grin across his face. Of all of the lives to wake up to, this certainly wasn’t the worst.

[Chad Anthony Masters]

Chad looked at Sam, "Sam, you're not fat," he said shaking his head. Some days he just wanted to shake her. He watched her stand up, looking at her. She hardly looked like she'd gained weight she just looked healthy. Which was good, not bad. If anything his grandma would definitely try to fatten Sam up, probably try to stuff pasta and bread down her throat. Chad stood up after here, trailing behind Sam into the dining room. "Yeah, I mean, I don't really see them all that often, having lived on the opposite side of the country for my whole life. But since we're here, I guess dinner won't be any harm." Chad placed his hands on her shoulders, squeezing gently before smiling, "Okay, I'll call her back and tell her we'll be there." Chad pulled her chair out for her and then sat in his own, looking at all the food on the table.

"What? Oh, they'll approve. No reason not too." Chad smiled once more, shrugging. He'd show Sam off anywhere he went, she was his best friend. He just knew however, someone would spill the beans over dinner. About the family business. And Sam wouldn't like it. Maybe he could just tell them to... act normal. Act casual? Just until he figured out how to tell her himself with out it freaking her out. Which it shouldn't, because it wasn't as if Chad had anything to do with it. He was straight arrow, going to college and all that. Other then the fact that the family business was paying for college and his other expenses... other then that he was good.

[Kiersten Mollie Bannon]

Kiersten smiled when he leaned down to kiss her hair. "It's really not that big a deal," she said shrugging, but smiled all the same. He had no idea what he did to her. It was kind of mean to herself the way she just let herself go on the way she did. Hanging out with him was one thing, they were best friends. She'd never put that at stake. Which was why she could never tell him how she really felt about him because she knew he probably didn't feel the same way and that would just make things weird. But in all reality, sleeping with him was just teasing herself too. A taste of what she couldn't really have. It wasn't even fair to herself. She was beginning to wonder if maybe she shouldn't anymore. He wouldn't mind right? He'd probably find it elsewhere if he really wanted to. or date someone. Maybe he'd get a girlfriend. Kiersten didn't know how she felt about that. Not good, but she'd have to get over it. She really couldn't have him so it wasn't like she should get mad at him for wanting someone else. That was just selfish.

Kiersten sat down, taking a roll and placing it on her plate before looking back up at him. "The set? Yeah, that would be cool." She looked away. They were friends. Maybe it really was about time they started acting like just friends. Wouldn't it just be better for both of them? Yeah maybe it would. And they could just stay friends. Yeah, that seemed like an idea that she might just think more about.

[Shane Alexander Madden]

Shane sat down beside Kat, smiling when she told Zach welcome. He leaned over to Kat, saying to her quietly, "Do you ever wonder what the hell newcomers think when they come in here, like outsiders? They probably think were all crazy." Shane laughed shaking his head, "And, on top of that, that dude has no idea the tornado that is Scarlet Harris. Poor guy." Shane shook his head in mock seriousness. Their whole group was just one big tangled, web. Anyone on the outside who tried to get in, or at least just got dragged in, or even stumbled into the group by pure accident, thy really had quite a shock coming to them. People just didn't realize how close they all were, how they all kind of just supported each other. It was really kind of cool though.

Shane noticed that Mack had finally showed up with Lily, "Ah, the shoppers have finally arrived." Shane said stuffing a piece of of roll in his mouth. Riley had finally introduced Shane to his daughter, and looking at Lily, it was stupid how she looked like Riley. But the weird thing was, she passed as Mack's kid, if you didn't know she wasn't. looking at Riley and then looking at Mack, and back at Lily, they legitimately looked like a little family. Interesting. Oddly enough, Mack looked pretty okay, you could even say happy. Even if she wasn't, how could you really tell with her? "Cute kid Riley, nice work. Oh but you probably don't even remember. Sucks." Shane slapped him on the back, grinning and shaking his head. "You should let me babysit your kid so she can be exposed to things like Xbox and flaming hot cheetohs. You want her to be well rounded, don't you"
