Mandi rested her chin against the top of Lily’s head and held her arms up and did a quiet cheer. “ Yaaay Yankees!” she laughed quietly as she bounced Lily against her knees. Just hearing Lily laugh sort of melted her heart. That was the most gorgeous girl she had ever had the pleasure of seeing. Riley had wanted to take Lily to her first baseball game, and had it been someone like Mack he was taking he would have wanted to take her into the suite to watch, but you couldn’t have your first game be in the suite, you had to be in the stands. Which is why Riley had bought seats in the stands, even though he looked up at the suites every now and then. Baseball was better in the stands anyways, but for Christmas Mandi was getting all of the guys – Logan, Lance, Riley, Shane, Joel, Chad, well all of them, season tickets in the box suite for them to watch the football games. They’d be able to tear it up in the suite and have fun without people trying to start shit with them. Mandi looked down at Lily and adjusted the Yankees jersey she had bought for her against her stomach, which looked pretty adorable with the little skirt that she was wearing. Not to mention Riley had put matching ribbons in her hair, probably with the help of Mackenzie. “Getting tired of holding her yet?” Riley questioned as he looked over at Mandi from his seat. “Not even a little bit!” she said as she wrapped her arms around Lily and kissed her cheek a few times. She could tell he was rolling his eyes, but she wanted to hold her niece and she was going to. Riley got to see her all the time. But it looked like Lily’s attention had been turned to cotton candy. She was way too young to be having too much of that, but Riley was already putting some soda into her mouth with a straw and laughing at her by how eagerly she drank it up. “ Mack’s going to kill you when she won’t go to sleep later tonight”. Riley chuckled as he sighed, “ Totally worth it”. Mandi rolled her eyes and stood up. “I’m going to take her to change her.” she said as she started to kneel down and pick up the diaper bag. “ Ah come on, Lily. Tell your Aunt Mandi to hand you over,”. Mandi looked up at Riley skeptically before he grinned. ” I’ll change her, I want to take her to get something to eat. Ice cream or cotton candy.. “. Mandi gave Lily a kiss before she handed her over to Riley. “Hey do you mind getting me a tall bud?” she asked before she smiled sweetly at him. Riley nodded, holding Lily against his side before he picked up the diaper bag and headed up the steps. Mandi smiled as she watched them before she realized she was still standing and quickly took her seat. It was sort of amazing to watch Riley with his daughter, and especially the way Mackenzie had become a part of their family. She already looked at her like she was going to be her sister, that’s where they were headed anyways. Mandi crossed her legs in her seat and ran her hand through the side of her bangs before she played with the end of her side braid and dropped it back against her shoulder. The players weren’t on the field at the moment and they were doing that ridiculously cheesy camera thing where they put the spotlight on a couple and waited for them to kiss, then rated the hotness of it. God those things were so embarrassing. She laughed as a young couple kissed, the boy diving in to eagerly to the girl and knocking his forehead against her nose. But the old couple was so sweet that she couldn’t help but smile. It felt like a sense of normalcy was coming over her life. Her parents had passed away, she’d broken up with Colt, moved out to New York, dealt with her brother losing some of his memory, a niece. But her life couldn’t be that horrible,.. here she was at a Yankees game with her brother and they had more love in their family and his friends which were family than she could have ever imagined. She heard her phone go off in her purse and leaned down to look through it, missing who the camera was on now as she dug through her purse. If it was Mack she needed to answer so she could let her know how Lily was doing. Outfit

Hunter sat quietly, watching the game and trying to ignore Jessica. She wasn't his girlfriend, just a girl he'd met at the bar on one of his days off. She'd seemed like she had been a pretty chill girl and he'd agreed to take her to a baseball game. But now that they were hanging out, she was talking his ear off. And driving him nuts. And she was irritating. It just didn't seem like she was all that intelligent. And granted, Hunter was just a firefighter, but he was at least aiming for a bigger goal. He was just taking a break from school before he went to med school. He had brains. He needed a girl with brains. And this Jessica really just... didn't. Hunter nodded, pretending to be listening to her while she talked on, oblivious to the fact that he was less then attentive. His attention started to drift the the people sitting beside him, a guy, a girl, and a baby. At first Hunter thought they were together, the guy being to referred to as the dad, and Hunter thought they were pretty young to be parents. Hunter Sneaked a glance to them, thinking it was a shame, because the girl was awfully pretty to have a baby so young. As the guy stood up to go change the baby, Hunter overheard them talking about another girl and realized they were brother ans sister. The girl remained seated next to him, now he knew she was the aunt. Hunter heard Jessica asking him something, turning to look at her, "Oh, you want a drink?" Hunter pulled his wallet out, "Here why don't you go buy yourself a jersey or something, or a t-shirt. Take your time." Jessica looked excited to be given money on the first date, probably thinking firefighters made a shit ton of money. False. Hunter was just tired of listening to her.
Hunter wondered what Carter was doing today, maybe after he dropped Jessica back off, since this date was not going to continue much longer after the game was done, he could go hang out with his brother or something. In the meantime, Hunter watched the big screen, seeing all the different couples kissing and whatnot. Hunter sighed, seeing an old couple that looked just about as happy as ever. Hunter wondered if he'd find someone like that, that he'd be with until he was like, eighty. Maybe he's meet someone in med school. He looked away for a second. not seeing Jessica still. She'd be gone for the whole next inning. As Hunter looked back at eh kiss cam, he stopped, seeing himself and the girl beside him in the screen. He looked over to her, seeing her on her cell phone, and looked around. He knew they weren't about to just pan away and find a different couple. Since they're was no one sitting on either side of them, it looked like Hunter and the girl were together. People sitting around them were beginning to say things to them, telling them they were on camera. Hunter was well aware of that, but she wasn't. Hunter tapped her on the shoulder, "Um.. I'm sorry to bother you, I can see you're on the phone. It's just, the camera.. it's on us. I don't think it's going to go away..." People were now even turning around to look at them, cheering them on and yelling ridiculous things. Hunter looked again, still no Jessica, though he wasn't expecting her to be there anyways. He looked back at the girl who was on camera with him, not sure how to get the camera off them. Hunter looked at her, jabbering away on her phone and Hunter really just wanted people to stop staring at them. He reached over and gently took her phone out of her hand and held it up to his ear, "Hi, sorry, can you hang on one second? She'll get back to you in just a sec," Hunter said politely, before turning to the girl, taking her face in his free hand and kissed her. He really wasn't expecting it to be anything special or whatever, just kissing her to give the people what they wanted real quick, then they could get back to their lives watching the game. Plus she was really pretty so it was a nice bonus. He just hadn't expected there to be a spark. With out thinking, his slid his hand back behind her neck, his fingers in her hair, deepening the kiss before he remembered he did not know this girl and pulled away, putting the phone back up to his ear casually, "Sorry about that, her she is." Hunter handed her her phone back and sat back in his chair. Looking back up at the screen at himself again.

“ Totally covered in sugar. From head to toe, and I know she’s little so that probably isn’t even that much, but Riley is just giving her anything that’s pink or candy coated. So.. good luck later tonight.” she said, placing the phone between her ear and shoulder as she looked down at her hands in her lap. She still wore her mothers ring, and she wasn’t even sure why she did it. Though she wore it on her middle finger instead of either of her ring fingers.Riley refused to wear any of their fathers watches. Still. Even after he had lost memory of them dying. One memory she hadn’t told him about, and had asked the others to not tell him of right away, was his behavior at the funeral. That could come later, it wasn’t essential. Words couldn’t describe how happy it made Mandi that Mackenzie had been the one that Riley had fallen in love with. She was such a driven, strong girl. I mean, to stay with someone who lost their memory and the only thing fueling you to keep it going is that you have such a faith in the love that you have for one another that there is no choice for the universe but for you two to fall in love again? That was unreal. Mackenzie was seriously an angel in Mandi’s eyes. “ Now I think that she’ll either be on the verge of a sugar crash, or just still giddy from all of it. But she’s not the only one, Riley’s gonna be out like a li-“. Mandi looked at the guy sitting next to her who took her phone from her.
’Seriously?’ Mandi thought to herself, watching him speak to Mackenzie on the phone as though it was the most natural thing in the world. But then out of nowhere he was reaching over and kissing her. At first she felt offended, but then two things happened. One, she remembered thinking how hot he was earlier. And then, he had slid his hand onto her neck and into the back of her hair and a literal chill went through her entire body. When his lips left hers she felt herself following him, as though she had been in a trance and she opened her eyes as she realized it was over. He was handing her the phone back and she could see herself taking it, but she couldn’t really register her own motions. Was she moving her hand? It didn’t feel like it.”Mack,I gotta go”she said quickly, dropping her phone completely, not bothering to hang up or see where it landed. Mandi had never been a slut, not in her entire life. She’d never kissed a boy she hadn’t atleast been on a date with, and she thought men should have to work for a little action. But honest to god, it seemed like all common sense had left the world. “ My name’s Mandi,” she said, thinking she should atleast introduce herself before she attacked him again. She could tell the camera was still on them, not because she looked at it. She hadn’t looked away from him since he kissed her, but because people were still yelling at them. Mandi moved in her seat and leaned over the armrest, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her hand deep into the back of his hair before she kissed him, nibbling down against his bottom lip as she pressed herself closer to him.

Hunter saw her lean back toward him in the screen that he was hoping wouldn't be targeted on them anymore, but he turned back toward her just as she kissed him again, wrapping her arms around his neck. Mandi. So that was what her name was. Hunter just figured, fuck it. She was pretty, and he'd kissed her first so really he was fair game. Of course he hadn't been expecting her to like it, hell he'd figured she'd probably smack him up side the head or something. She looked like maybe she was that type, the kind that didn't kiss on the first date. She looked like she kind of expected to be treated respectfully. Which Hunter did. he wasn't an ass all the time. Just sometimes. But this girl was definitely all up on him and he wasn't complaining but he really just was taken by surprise. Hunter slid his hand over the arm rest to grab her waist, moving her hair out of her face with his other hand. He could hear people sitting around them cheering and making cat calls, and Hunter smiled as he pulled away. He grinned at her, turning his head to look up at the screen to see the word "HOTTT" being flashed across the screen with the animation of a firefighter. Hunter laughed, ironic since he was a firefighter himself. Finally, the camera moved away from them, no longer broadcasting them across the stadium. Hunter leaned back in his chair, "I'm Hunter, by the way."
Hunter rubbed his face, feeling the little bit of stubble he'd neglected to shave after working all week. It was times like this he wished he'd have remembered to shave, but she hadn't seemed to have minded too much. "Sorry about your phone call." he smiled, glancing back over at her. She really was pretty. He'd forgotten all about Jessica since he'd spontaneously kissed Mandi. "So, I'm wondering if I could get your number. Maybe I could give you a call, take you out, you can pretend like you don't kiss on the first date..." he trailed off jokingly.

Riley smiled as he looked at Lily, who he had already given probably half a coke too, not to mention was letting her play with the cone of cotton candy he had bought her. Mackenzie was going to kick his ass. But it was so funny to watch Lily’s eyes get big as she ate or drank it, played in it. She was having fun, and honestly that’s all that mattered to Riley. There would be a time for vegetables later. He held her tightly to his side as he made his way back from the concessions and gift shops he had visit. He’d almost forgotten about Mandi’s beer but he’d grabbed it quickly, not really caring what kind he got mainly because Mandi wouldn’t care what kind he got her. She was a really peculiar kind of trust fund baby. For instance, instead of buying a new car she continued to buy the old truck she had even though it kept breaking down. Because it had ‘character’. Whatever. It wasn’t dependable, and she should use the money she had to get a better one.
Riley made his way down the steps slowly as he saw…no.. that couldn’t be right. Was Mandi basically climbing over a seat to kiss a guy? He came down the steps until he moved his way back to the seats where they were. He coughed, trying to get Mandi’s attention until he looked past her and at the guy whose ass he needed to kick. Forget Mandi. “ Holy shit, you’re Hunter fucking Riggins’ he said before he realized he had Lily and regretted cursing in front of her. He looked back up, lowering Lily down to Mandi. ’ Take her’.Riley climbed over Mandi’s legs and then Hunter’s before he sat down on the opposite side of Hunter. “ State championship, starting line up freshman year of college..Dude I worshipped your college career. That game seven against the Okkie Sooners in 2009? Legend. You’re like a college football legend.. You didn’t go pro, I was counting on you going pro. I had a fantasy football team all set up,”

Mandi sighed quietly as he placed his hand over her hip and pressed her fingers more eagerly against his neck. But when he pulled away again and looked at the screen she looked back up too. The screen flashed off of them quickly and she sat trying to catch her breath. That was sort of an introduction, and he still hadn’t even said his name. She looked over at him as he spoke, finally saying his name. She smiled, because his name was pretty unique. Which was fitting, since it seemed like he was too. “ I’m Mandi…” she said, introducing herself again out of nerves. ”….Still” she added, coughing quietly before she tried to look away and back at the field. Mandi smiled openly, not caring if she looked like an idiot when he asked for her number because he had been funny, joking with her about the fact that she had just assaulted him basically. He was confident, but he did it in a charming way that just sort of made you comfortable. And every girl loved a guy that could make her laugh. “ I don’t kiss on a first date” she said, lifting her eyebrow at him. “But technically this isn’t a date, so it’s all free game” she said, nodding seriously through her sarcasm. She winced slightly and shook her head, ” But now that I see what you’ve got to offer I just.. I’m not sure pretending to care what your alma mater is, or what your favorite vacation spot is.. only to find out that your technique is disappointing. We could do the first date night. Pretend that we’ll call each other later.” she said jokingly, already reaching down to pick up her phone since she didn’t actually know her own number.
Suddenly she was being handed Lily and Riley was jumping over her and Hunters’ legs. He looked like he had love in his eyes. Had she seriously just been cockblocked in a sense by her brother. She glared at Riley , doing the gesture for killing him before she turned her attention back to Lily. “ Hey princess” she muttered quietly, wrapping her arms around her niece. If she had to focus on something else, atleast that something else was adorable. And sticky. She smiled, looking over at Hunter and Riley a few times while trying to clean off Lily. If she was anything like her father she would be a mess about ninety percent of the time. She licked the edge of her lips, still tingling from where he had kissed her. She’d never met anyone who made her feel that way, and at the same time she couldn’t even describe what it was exactly she felt.

Hunter smiled when she said her name was still Mandi, "Good, I'm glad it hasn't changed, I kind of like it." Hunter listened to her explain what would be their first date situation, nodding in agreement. Yeah they could do all the typical first date stuff since it wouldn't matter much. They'd already kissed in public, that had to kind of take away from some of that first date magic, but Hunter would take what he could get. "Right, we can pretend whatever you want," Hunter laughed, seeing her brother come back and recognize him, climbing past Mandi and sat down next to Hunter after leaving the kid with Mandi. Mandi looked like she could do without being interrupted by her brother, but Hunter figured they'd have plenty of time together without interruptions if she really did let him take her out. Her brother however, seemed to have Hunter's college football career memorized and Hunter grinned, "No shit? Yeah thanks man, I mean, it's not too late to go pro yet, just trying to keep my options open. I'm kinda taking a break from everything right now, just working and all that. What did you say your name was?" Hunter figured he hadn't said what his name was but he'd probably tell him soon enough.
Hunter thought back to all his options he had currently. Of course he could have gone pro in football. There was no reason why he couldn't have. He just had this idea in his head that he had to make something of himself, which was why he had graduated pre-med. Having that degree under his belt though, still didn't make him think he really wanted to do med school. Sure he'd gone through all the hard work, but he also still loved football. And it was thinking that he had to make something of himself, that he had to do something respectable that had held him back from going pro. But here he was, stuck in between and working as a firefighter in New York City. Med school? Go pro? What was a guy to do?

Riley could not believe he was sitting next to Hunter Riggins. His sister.. had just made out.. with Hunter Riggins on national television. There HAD to be a clip of that on SportsCenter later. Mandi had never been so damn cool in his entire life. Sticking by his side and helping him after their parents died and he lost his memory? Screw it. She just macked on Hunter Effing Riggins. ” Ah man, no it’s unbelievable. Are any agents talking to you? You can still go pro? Man.. I’m sure you hear this all the time. But if the Giants or the Jets could get you as a running back.. Damn dude, unstoppable.” he looked back up, “ Oh, yeah.. Riley Collins. That’s my sister.. you met her,…obviously.. incase you didn’t get her name, it’s Mandi. And that is my daughter, Lily. I know what you’re thinking, I’m young for a kid. Don’t worry.. I don’t even remember it.” He looked over to see Mandi slapping her hand over her face, but ignored her. Hell this was like Mandi meeting… well whatever guy she was in love with or admired.
“ I stole one of your plays for state championship, and it saved our asses with three seconds left in the game. Dude, you got me laid that night”Riley took in a deep breath before he leaned forward and hugged him. “ You’ve done so much,” He ignored Mandi, hearing her speak. “ You told me you went out for ice cream that night”. “ Shut up , Mandi” he said, before he let go of Hunter and leaned away. “ She was just a cheerleader. She doesn’t know anything about sports,” he said, waving Mandi off before he heard her cough, and lean forward with a raised eyebrow. ‘ Hunter Riggins. All state championship three out of the four years he attended University of Longhorns, Texas. Went pre-med, unlike most of the football jocks you see on the field with a gpa of 3.7. More impressively, his stats. Four years, two fumbles, over three thousand yards of receiving pass, and rushing? Best in the college game. Over seven thousand rushing yards. And how many tackles? Thirty-seven.”. Riley blinked as he looked at Mandi, “ Did you just google that?”. Mandi smiled sarcastically at Riley before she handed Lily over to him. “ I’m going to go get you boys some beers. “. Mandi went back up the steps and headed over to the concession stands.

Hunter nodded, glad to be having a conversation with some people today that seemed to have brains between their ears, "Yeah, I get agents hounding me like every week about getting drafted and all that shit. I could still go pro, I just gotta weigh my options, I didn't just get my degree and do all that pre-med for nothing. But like, if I wanna do football, I can't really wait. It's kind of a toss up." The guy introduced himself as Riley, and re introduced Mandi, "Cool, nice to meet you Riley. And uh, yeah I did catch her name, oddly enough." Hunter shrugged. It was whatever. "Ah man, you can't remember? Bummer. Cute kid though." There was a unexpected outcome of a drunk hookup. Hunter was enjoying himself talking to Riley though, completely forgetting that he'd came to the stadium with that Jessica chick. He hadn't even been expecting her to come back. Hell, if she didn't, he'd be totally cool with that. Hunter laughed when Riley hugged him, looking at Mandi over her brothers shoulder. This guy was funny, "Well, I'm glad to be of service... on and off the field..." Hunter leaned back away from him, looking at Mandi once more, "Oh, a cheerleader? That's cool, I got respect for that." He'd seen those cheerleaders on the college team, they did crazy things, stuff Hunter couldn't even do if he tried.
Hunter listened while Mandi listed off, perfectly, might I add, his entire college football stats, not even stopping to think. Impressive. Girl knew her football. Hunter raised his eyebrows, "Wow, that was impressive." He watched her walk off to go get them beers, "you can come back with your number too, if you want." He grinned at her as she headed up the steps. "Man, you're sister's cool. She's not dating anyone is she?" He thought he'd ask since he had the opportunity while she was away. Because if she was down, Hunter was all for getting those digits and taking her out. It wasn't everyday he had pretty girls rambling off his stats like they were baking measurements or something.

Riley narrowed his eyebrows as he watched Mandi walk up the stairs. She had to have googled that somehow when they weren’t looking. Whatever. He looked back at Hunter as he heard him calling for Mandi’s number. “ You like my sister? You can have her.” he said, as though Mandi was his to give away. In his opinion, this guy could have whatever the hell he wanted. He waved off the fact that he couldn’t remember having Lily. “ It’s fine. I don’t remember a lot of things, apparently I’m dating that hot blonde cheerleader chick who got pregnant on that musical show.. guys like her.. and I see why…” he said, running his hand over his hair as he sat back in his seat. He smiled down at Lily and held her against his chest. Hunter Riggins. Unbelievable.
Riley turned to look back at him. “ … I do like you dude and you’re cool. And you can have my sister if you want her. But if you hurt her. I will kick your ass. Or find someone else to do it. She’s way too go with the flow for her own good and a lot of dipshit assholes take advantage of that. Guy after guy in high school tried to manipulate shit with that and I showed each of them the pavement. You being one of my sports idols aside, makes you no exception. Do not take advantage of her care-free attitude. It does not mean she is a whore. Despite the fact that she just made out with you. But.. I don’t even know you and I kind of want to make out with you. I mean,.. if I were a chick. Cause you’re Hunter Riggins. It’s like a guy crush. But.. … whatever, point is. I will kick your ass if need be. I’ve been tackled down by worse things than a guy that looks about 180.. 190.. “ Riley smiled, “ Other than that,.. we’re glad to buy you a beer. Weren’t you here with some girl?”

Mandi stuck her tongue out at Riley playfully as he seemed stunned by the fact that she seemed to know anything at all about football. Yeah she was a cheerleader, but she paid attention to the game too. She wore high heels to school almost every day, but when school was out she changed into a pair of jeans and boots. She loved working on her car, even if she didn’t always know what she was doing. She smiled as she turned to go up the steps, hearing Hunter say that she could come back with her number. She could. But how was she supposed to be sure if she wanted to. She’d just met this guy. She knew his stats. From his interviews he seemed like a good guy. But he had been on a date, and just kissed her . Whatever, his date sounded like a stupid Barbie.
Mandi paid for the beers and set one down on the counter, writing her number on the plastic of the cup she was going to hand to Hunter. Picking them both back up she headed down the stairs before she came back to Riley and Hunter. “ Sick of him yet?” she asked Hunter, tilting her head to Riley before she handed each of them their beers. “ He gets crushes on sports figures pretty easily,” she said before she sat back down and crossed her legs. Let the boys talk, she didn’t need Hunters attention. They were here for the game after all. She yawned as she looked back at the game and tried to catch up on what she had missed.

Hunter watched Mandi walk up the steps, fully appreciating the view now that she had stood up and he realized she really was very pretty. He hoped that she actually gave him her number. It was like, he'd already asked for it twice, he wasn't going to beg for it. He could only hope maybe she was interested in letting him take her out. It was the least he could do after spontaneously macking on her today. Hunter laughed when Riley informed him that he could have Mandi, as if she was Riley's to give away. All the same, at least her brother kind if approved, "Well alright then." Hunter wondered if Riley had had an accident or something to cause him to lose his memory, because Riley didn't remember very much. His kid, his girlfriend... it made Hunter wonder what else he didn't remember. When Riley mentioned who he was dating, Hunter said, "No shit? That singing show with the annoying midget girl who has a nose like Barbra Streisand? My mom watches that show. Man, did you like lose your memory or something?" Hunter was just trying to get a grasp on this guys situation because all conversations led Hunter to think this guy had an accident or something. That would suck to forget who you were dating, especially if she was on TV and pretty much the entire nation could recognize her on the street. Hunter didn't watch the show much he was sure if he saw her he'd be able to pick her out. Riley turned serious for a second, now playing the brother card and telling Hunter that he could have Mandi but he better not hurt her in anyway or else Riley would beat him up. Hunter didn't really think Riley could beat him up, but he got the point. And it wasn't as if he was exactly involved with Mandi, not like they'd even gone out or anything. Hunter didn't think Riley really had much to worry about, it was pretty premature to judge whether that was something he should be worried about. But Hunter nodded anyways, "Yeah, I get you, man. Thanks though." Hunter figured Riley could save his worries for when and if, Hunter and Mandi really got involved.
Hunter nodded, "Yeah, but we're not together or anything. Actually she was just a girl I picked up in the bar on my night off, thought I'd take her out. She's really not my type, I've come to realize. Probably won't be taking her out again," he laughed, shaking his head. Mandi had come back, handing him a cup with her number on it and he grinned, holding it up in sheers to her, nodding in her direction. "Thanks," he said, for more then just the beer. Hunter sat for a while, chatting casually with Riley and Mandi, occasionally looking her way to see her calmly watching the game, not at all trying to hang on him or monopolize his time. She was cool, making him wonder if she was really just that chill or playing hard to get, or embarrassed about her behavior earlier, or simply just not interested as he thought she may have been. Which was weird, because he felt she;d been interested when she'd kissed him back. Ah well. He didn't know for sure what she was thinking, he'd just have to wait. And her casual attitude now just made the chase all the more interesting. She definitely had him up for a chase. Just then, he looked over to see Jessica coming back to sit down, a confused expression on her face. Hunter looked up at her when she approached, "You do know were watching the Yankees, but you bought a shirt for the other team?" Hunter questioned, raising his eyebrows. "I just like their colors better," she said, eying Riley, "I think my seats been taken?" she asked cautiously, not knowing where to sit down. Hunter really didn't want her to sit with them for the remainder of the game, would much rather just take her home and end the date. As much as he wanted to stay and hang out with his new friends as it seemed they had become, he wasn't about to make them sit through a conversation with this girl either. He had Mandi's number, so really he was all set. He could call her later. "Actually, Jessica, good thing you're back. I got called into work at the fire house, I have to go over there to cover someone's shift, so we have to cut this short." Hunter stood up, indicating to Riley and Mandi, "I was just letting them have our seats for some of their friends since we can't stay." Jessica picked up her bag, nodding, and Hunter shook Riley's hand, "Anyways, it was nice meeting you both," and stopped for a second, smiling at Mandi before he turned to go, following Jessica up the steps where she tried to take his hand but he quickly shoved it in his pocket. He really wasn't into too much PDA, especially with someone he wasn't all that interested in.
As they got outside Jessica said, "Well it's too bad you got called into work, but I guess duty calls." She smiled, "So, you can take me back to my place then?" Hunter shook his head, "I'm really sorry, I would, but it's really vital I get to work as soon as possible, I have to go straight there. But, I'll get you a cab, no worries." Hunter quickly hailed a cab for her, opening the door for her to get in and handed her a couple of bills to pay the driver, "Again, I'm sorry about having to cut this short." "It's okay, I understand. Be careful at work!" she called out the window. Be careful. Hunter was always careful, what was the use in telling him that. He had to be when he was dealing with his job. As the driver pulled away, she called, "Call me!" Hunter didn't respond. He didn't think he'd be calling her. He began to walk toward the parking lot until the cab had turned the corner and he was out of her sight, and then turned back and headed back into the stadium. After making his way back to his section and down the steps, he walked down the row of seats and sat down in his once again beside Riley, sighing, "You must think I'm a dick, but she really, really wasn't my type. Does that make me seem like an asshole?" he asked, sitting back in his seat. Hunter had taken out a lot of girls in his life. Playing college ball made him a magnet for girls who recognized him, Jessica included. And he honestly wasn't a jerk like that all the time, but he wasn't going to waste his time or hers, especially when the only thing they had in common was his football career and her liking him for it. He just wanted to find a girl who liked him for more then what he did on the field. Especially now, seeing as he had a college degree and a job that had nothing to do with football. There was a guy under all his football equipment, much to the shock of about 90% of girls who talked to him. He just hoped Mandi didn't think less of him for it.

Mandi held her beer loosely to her lips as she watched the game carefully. One beer was fine, her and Riley would be taking a cab home but it still wasn’t a good idea to get even a little bit drunk considering they had Lily with them. She looked over every so often, pretty entertained by how lovestruck Riley looked while talking to Hunter. Whatever, she’d be the same way if she had run into someone she idolized. She just couldn’t believe he’d kissed her like that, it wasn’t like he was Joe Schmo. He had to have known that a clip of that would be played inevitably on Sports Center or something once people saw it and recognized him. He was one of the most recognizable college football players …ever.Him and his brother both were pretty well known not just for how well they played the game, but how many woman loved to watch them play. She narrowed her eyes as she saw the guy coming up the steps with the hotdog thing wrapped around his neck. Food sounded pretty bad ass right about now considering how starving she was. She held her hand up before she turned to Riley and smiled sweetly at him. He’d held onto her money in his wallet for her so she hadn’t had to bring a purse. After he handed her over some money she paid the vendor quickly and took a couple of hot dogs. But when Riley leaned over and took one she frowned. Now leaving her with one hot dog. She glared at him before she put some ketchup on it and licked what had gotten on her thumb quickly off before she noticed that the girl from earlier had returned. Seriously, who went shopping during the game. What was the point in coming if you weren’t going to watch. Get your damn shopping done beforehand if you really needed to.
Mandi lifted her eyebrow as she looked at the dumbass that was apparently Hunter’s date. Seriously, she liked the colors better? She gasped before she plastered on the fakest Valley Girl accent she could muster, “ Like oh my god,.. you’re so like,… totally right. Those colors are so fab. First jersey I ever bought was a Longhorns one. But like.. I wanted my name on it, and I bought the wrong one. Like I was going to walk around with a shirt that said Riggins on it? As if,”Mandi pushed her hair from her eyes, “ I hear like,.. he’s really super duper famous. And living in New York now… and like, a totally awesome kisser. And totttallly loaded. I mean, why else would you get to know the guy? Right? It’s not like he’s the kind of guy you go to a baseball game with and actually spend time with him, and get to know him, and watch the game. God no. I’d like totally just go shopping the entire time. Totally put it out there that I was interested in his tax bracket and page six instead of like…getting to know him… and talk to him… Gross..It’s not like he’s a real person. People like that just beg to be used, ya know? ” she smiled before she tilted her head to the side and then turned her attention back to the game. Stupid girls were like a plague that seemed to follow hot guys everywhere.
Not to mention that this girl was beyond stupid to believe that Hunter was going to work, he was still holding his beer and carrying it everywhere. A fireman getting called in to work wouldn’t finish his beer. But the fact that he was a fireman had caught Mandi’s attention. There was something so sexy about the image of a guy coming home from work, all dirty and covered in soot. She smiled back at him as he smiled at her and watched as he put his hands in his pocket, avoiding holding hands with the girl he’d come here with. After he left Riley had smacked her on the arm, demanding her attention before he jumped into hysterics. ” Ow!” she yelled at him before she held her hand over her arm and rubbed it back and forth. She wasn’t sure where the hell Hunter was going, but she knew one place he wasn’t going- a fire. He came back sooner than expected and she hid the smile across her lips by taking another drink of beer. Mandi scoffed sarcastically when he said that girl wasn’t his type. “ She seemed really smart.” she said as though it made no sense before she reached out for Lily from Riley. Mandi set her beer down on the ground and crossed her legs before holding Lily in her lap. Lily had apparently noticed Hunter and was giggling as she made eyes at him. Mandi smiled as she wrapped her arms around Lily, and kissed the top of her hair. She did want to talk to Hunter, but they were at a baseball game. To watch baseball. And Riley seemed to want to talk his ear off, apparently he didn’t care about the game.

Hunter Riggins. Seriously. Riley was really glad this happened before he got hit by that cab. He was still trying to clean off Lily’s hands from where he had let her play in the cotton candy before he realized that he probably sounded like a lunatic, not remembering anything and turned his attention to Hunter. “Midget girl?” Riley questioned, trying to remember who all was on it. ” This is going to sound douchey, but .. I mean I’ll be nice to almost everyone when meeting them, but with stuff like tv and shows, if there’s ugly people on a show I don’t really notice their characters. I’m watching it for entertainment, not to be grossed out. So there’s only a few characters I could really point out. Kenzie definitely tops that list, I mean a guy could do worse,”. he said, smiling as he looked back over at Hunter. “ Oh, yeah I got hit by a cab. My family hasn’t had the greatest of luck with modes of transportation lately,” he said giving a small shrug. He could tell that Mandi had winced at what he said, but avoided looking at her. Thankfully she turned to him and gestured for his wallet, which he gladly handed over since he’d been carrying some of her cash. When she sat back with hot dogs he leaned over and snagged one, assuming she’d gotten one of them for him as well. Riley bit into the hot dog as Hunter’s date from earlier came back to the seats, staring at him with clear confusion as to why he was sitting in her seat. But Hunter was up quickly, explaining that he had to leave and they were taking the seats for their friends. He made a confused face as he chewed his face, cause he sure as hell didn’t remember any of that. He finally caught on as Hunter shook his hand and nodded. “Appreciate it again, man” he said before he watched Hunter leave with Jessica and turned back in his seat, smacking his hand against Mandi’s shoulder. “ Hunter Riggins,” he said, as though Mandi had missed the boat completely on who that was.He used his free hand to reach for his phone out of his pocket and instantly started to text Chad, still chatting Mandi’s ear off as she seemed to be watching the game and eating her hot dog.
When Hunter came back, Riley handed Lily off to Mandi and marveled back at Hunter. “ Man, I really am sorry about…well..fangirling.. like this over you. I mean I’m sure you’re a great guy and you have plenty of people yelling over you because of what you do on the field, I’m sure you’re a great guy. You’re just sort of my living legend and sports role model in the flesh. I’m sure if I knew you personally I’d have other great things to say about you,” he said honestly before he adjusted the way he sat back in his seat. ”You don’t seem like a dick. If it’s not there, it’s not there. Just remember what I said,” gesturing to Mandi when she had her attention wrapped up in Lily. “ No guy actually wants to date a dumbass anyways. That stereotype gets old in highschool. “ So why New York? If you don’t mind me asking..” Riley questioned carefully. Now that he’d gotten over his excitement he was just wanting to get to know Hunter as a person.

Hunter nodded, "Damn, hit by a cab... well at least you're here..." That made so much more sense. Hunter couldn't imagine forgetting stuff and wondered what else he had forgotten. Like what bad stuff would you need re-explained to you? That would just suck so bad, but it sounded like Riley had a pretty strong family unit that was helping him get through stuff. Kind of made Hunter jealous in a way, but lucky that he had Carter at least, and their mom was pretty awesome. And Riley was right, if he knew Hunter better, he'd probably see Hunter was more then just a football guy. He liked other things too. Granted his love for football was really dominate, but he knew football wouldn't last forever. And he didn't want to ride the easy rode off of it either, he wanted to do things in life too that weren't all about that. That as kind of why he was in New York. "Ummm... well, I'm not doing football at the moment, and I'm taking a school break, so I'm doing the fire rescue thing. And I figured, I can do that anywhere. My brother Carter is here, so I just figured why not? Plus... I wanted to get out of Texas and see more of the world I guess," he laughed, "I love Texas, I really do. Texas forever. But there's more in the world to see. So. Here I am. What about you guys, you from here originally or are you transplants too?" Just by looking at them, Hunter couldn't really tell if they looked like natives or not. Obviously Hunter was a transplant, he still walked around in boots half the time and his work jeans. The guys out here just dressed so... put together. With their suits and what not. That just so wasn't Hunter.
Hunter kind of noticed that Mandi hadn't said much, but he just thought maybe she's really into baseball. Which was cool because then she probably liked other sports, and she seemed to have known a lot about football too. He just wondered if he was cool enough for her, like maybe she didn't think his college career was all that impressive. Maybe. Or maybe she just really liked her baseball and didn't like to be interrupted.
