[Joel] Isn't someone missing me?

Natalia hadn't seen Joel for awhile and she really wanted to. She asked him if he wanted to hang out and then invited him to come to her house. She quickly put her bathing suit and a pair of jean shorts on. She slipped on her Juicy wedges that matched her bathing suit and then looked in the mirror. She sighed, puffed out her cheeks and then fluffed her hair. Natalia sprayed on some body spray and put on some light lipstick. She grabbed her pool bag, that already had her towel, water bottle and sunglasses in it. Shutting the light off, Natalia closed the door to her room and headed downstairs. Natalia headed out the back door to the patio and pool. She walked around to the other side and placed her bag and phone down on the chair. Natalia stretched and then looked around and smiled. She really did have a good view of New York. Natalia headed back into the house and grabbed a cup, filled it halfway with ice and then poured some ice tea in it. She headed back outside and placed her drink on the table. Natalia pulled out her towel and laid if over the back of the chair. She sat down and picked up her phone to text Joel. Don't forget to bring your swim shorts =) xo It was a beautiful summer day in New York, why not go for a swim?

Natalia placed her phone down on the table next to her drink and put her sunglasses on. She took a deep breath in and then let it out, this was the life. The sun was soaking into her skin and she felt 100% worry free. She loved the life she lived and she wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. Natalia dozed off, but was awakened by the sound of a puppy bark. Natalia opened her eyes and laughed when she saw Floyd trying to open the screen door to the patio. "I'm coming." she said as she got up, walked over to the door, opened it and picked Floyd up. "Betty," Natalia called to one of the housekeepers, "Joel is coming over, can you please just let him in and direct him back here?" "Of course." "Thank you." she smiled and walked back to her chair with Floyd. Natalia put Floyd down on the chair and kissed his head. Natalia picked up her ice tea and took a sip and put it back down on the table. She bent down and took her shoes off and placed them under her chair. She unbuttoned her shorts and let them slide down her legs. Just then Floyd jumped off the chair and ran towards the door. She figured Joel was here.

Joel ran the palm of his hand over his eyes tiredly as Lance was talking to him about them going over to Ryan’s tonight. He nodded in agreement, but was still thinking about where he would be in less than a half hour. “ Yeah, I’ll text him and let him know that I’ll stop by, too. I could always bring Madeline with me I guess,”. Ever since him and Ryan had their confrontation, well ever since Joel attacked Ryan in The Maine’s studio, they’d gotten a lot closer. He really did look at Ryan as a brother, which meant a lot coming from Joel. “ Anyways, I gotta go see Natalia,” he said, sitting up from the couch as Lance teased him from the kitchen. He flipped him off with a friendly grin before he shut the door and made his way down to the lobby of their apartment building. Technically Joel could live on his own, but considering he wasn’t eighteen yet Madeline had demanded that Lance live with him. Apparently Lance was more responsible, or something. He hailed a cab and sat back, giving the cab driver Natalia’s address. He was pretty excited to see her. He’d only had a small chance to talk to her at the VMA’s, and he’d been so busy at the studio that he hadn’t really talked to a whole lot of people at the label aside from Logan, Ryan, Zoe and Felicia. He didn’t dare try to approach Dani while at the studio ever since the VMA’s, since she made a vow to Logan that she would neuter him.. that latin anger. She’d calm down soon enough.

Joel hopped out of the cab and placed his hands in his front pockets as he headed towards the front door. When someone answered the door he was surprised that it wasn’t Natalia. Out of all of his friends in ‘the business’, he’d never actually seen someone that had housekeepers or anyone working in their home. He nodded politely as she told him that Natalia was in the back by the pool. “ I’m just going to change first real quick,”. He asked where the bathroom was and headed into it to change. Following changing into his swim trunks he reached his hand back and took his shirt off. After shaking his hair out he looked up at his reflection and turned in the mirror slightly to look at the tattoo on his back that he’d gotten for his brother. His eyes dropped from the mirror and focused on the counter. He looked down at the shirt on the counter before he hesitated for a moment and picked it up, pulling it back on to keep wearing it. He shook his hair back to the left before he headed out of the bathroom and headed outside, greeted by a dog which made him chuckle. “ Hey buddy,” he said as he kneeled down to the dog and played with him for a moment. Joel kept petting the dog before he looked up and smiled at Natalia, “ Hey gorgeous” he grinned, making his way over to her. She really did know how to fill out a bikini pretty well. He leaned down to kiss her cheek before he stood back up and looked down at her. “ Heels? While swimming?” he questioned, laughing under his breath before he sat down in the chair next to her and laid back, looking around at her view. “ We can’t really complain about our life ever…” he said as more of a statement than question. Sure their choice of life came with certain negative feedbacks, but he full heartedly believed that the good outweighed the bad.

Natalia kicked the shorts off and put them under her chair with her shoes. She looked over and saw Joel petting Floyd and she just smiled, Floyd loved everyone. She stretched out and then sat down on the end of her chair. She took another sip of her iced tea as Joel came walking over, Floyd ran past him and jumped up into Natalia's chair and wagged his tail. Natalia pet him and then gave Joel a small hug when he kissed her on the cheek, "Hey." she said with a smile as she placed the cup back down on the table. Natalia laughed when Joel questioned her shoes, "They match the bathing suit, I needed something to walk out here with..and I took them off." she smiled again. That was something she did frequently when she was with Joel. Natalia looked around when Joel spoke and then nodded in agreement, "You got that right. It's crazy sometimes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world." Natalia picked Floyd up and then slid back in her chair with Floyd in her lap.

"I haven't seen you since the VMA's and I only saw you briefly..about 5 minutes for pictures and a small conversation." Natalia laughed, "How are you? How's the music coming?" Natalia loved hearing how other artists were doing and what kinds of things they were working on. She loved sharing ideas. Floyd jumped down from her lap and walked over to the edge of the pool, looking in. "He's never gone swimming before, he's always too afraid, " she looked over at Joel and then back to Floyd, "he'll stand there, staring into the water and then go lay down somewhere." she chuckled lightly. "Do you want a drink or anything to eat?" she looked back to Joel.
