It'd been so long since Logan had had any kind of musical muse for himself, but he supposed when you were freshly divorced and yet still hooking up with your ex wife, if that wasn't muse he didn't know what was. At first he'd just gone into All Time Low's studio, plugged in a guitar, turned the amp on and just let his fingers shred for a little while. That felt good. But good old Logan, no sooner had he let loose and let himself play music just for the hell of it, suddenly he was playing melodies and some pretty catchy riffs. He was thinking about the fact that irregardless of being divorced, he was still insanely attracted to Blake and bad as it sounded, hooking up with her had not been a bad thing. On the contrary, it really only left him wanting more, good for her. She could sleep well at night knowing she still had him totally hooked. Maybe things would turn out okay for them after all. Logan kept going back and forth between writing down lyrics, recording guitar parts, some drums every now and then, but mostly he was just looping those for the time being. He wasn't even sure how much time had passed since he'd started, letting himself get lost in his own thoughts, doing what he really only knew best, and that was making music of some sort. Whether it was producing, playing, singing, whatever. He wasn't even totally sure who was all in the studio today. Usually eh made the rounds to see who was in and working on what, seeing where he could lend a hand, but today he was in his own little world.
Currently he was in the middle of some great guitar part he thought he might use, playing his guitar at a volume that was probably a bit too loud. But he was enjoying himself, wasn't that what mattered, or something? His fingers were becoming raw, he hadn't played like that in so long. More lyrics were coming to him, itching to write them down, itching to get in the booth and record, get it all out in song, all the stuff he'd been thinking about, Blake, Blake, hooking up with Blake...Blake. Where was his mind today? Elsewhere for sure, not focused on work at all. He didn't even realize that he was completely disrupting anyone else's work.

Blake stretched her arms out in front of herself and let her shoulders, elbows, fingers, everything, pop. Today was going to be a long day. Logan Renner had gone and signed another country artist. Fan-fucking-tastic. Create a little competition why don’t we? That is just all sorts of awesome. What, was it cause she was prettier? Had she sashayed her way into Logan’s office. Blake looked over at the vanilla candles that were lit in her studio with the lighting dim and looked back at the blank notepad. Nothing to write about at all, yet. She just needed to concentrate a little bit, clear her head. And there it was again. Alright, seriously. Enough was enough. Blake threw her notebook and pen down, storming out of her studio as she headed towards the noise. She grew even more agitated when she realized that the noise was coming from the All Time Low studio. Whatever dumbass that was in there thought that they could use her best friends studio just because he was on tour?
Blake pushed the door open roughly. “ Hey! Some of us with our names on the studio doors instead of borrowing others, are actually trying to wo-…” she said coming to a complete stop. “ W-..” she started off again, but now she had been caught off guard. It might seem odd, since her life was centered around making music, and since Logan was such a powerful part of her career. But for some reason, whenever Logan was playing guitar, or singing, there was just this thing inside of her that couldn’t be controlled. “ What are you .. what is .. what are you..” she said, growing frustrated before she glared at him. “ … Some of us are trying to work, Logan. And you’re just you’re with.. your.. and the.. you’re distracting,”

Logan turned around, not realizing someone had come in, but found Blake standing in the doorway. Of course she was. Of course he would be writing a song for the first time in like, ever, with her clouding up his thoughts of all sorts of... things, and of course she would just walk in and be standing there in the flesh. Looking like herself, which was gorgeous, and flustered, which had always been hot on her. Logan turned the amp down, looking at her as she she sputtered her way through one too many starts to a sentence but never quite finished one. Every time she started to say something he just raised his eyebrows expectantly, and it seemed his eyebrows were going to go up into his hair line before she finally told him that she was trying to write songs and he was distracting her. He frowned, "I'm... working..." he said gesturing to all the equipment being used, "I'm writing a song too." He shrugged, still holding the guitar and played a few notes, "I guess I can try to be, less distracting..." he left the amp turned down though, watching her to see if that was all. "So.. you're writing, how's that coming?" He put the guitar down on a nearby stand, walking closer to the door and stood, his arms crossed in front of his chest.

Blake crossed her arms as Logan suggested he was working. Fine, whatever. Make music. That’s great, honestly it was because he loved doing it. But turn it the eff down, it was not a Quiet Riot concert up in this bitch. It was a productive studio and she needed to be able to focus. “ How is it coming?” she asked as though it was a stupid question. “ How’s it coming.. well let’s see..” she said walking further into his studio. “ I have.. the most beautiful daughter in the entire world. I got a divorce. My ex-husband isn’t even with the woman he wanted to try things out with anymore. So I’m not entirely sure what we gave it up for. THEN the son of a bitch goes and signs some .. sex on a stick country singer to the label for some good reason I’m sure though he’s yet to tell me what it is.” she said, glaring at him slightly.
“ Are you trying to ruin my life? Are you trying to make this label unbearable for me? You want me to leave here, too? You could just ask. You don’t have to sign singers that have more what Lance calls “ sex appeal” than I do. I don’t sell sex. That’s not what I do. And it’s gotten me how far? I really don’t want to pull the diva card or the ‘which artist has gotten your label the most awards and sold out shows’ award here but.. if it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck. I’m kind of the best thing to happen to you here and you’re making it extremely difficult for me,” She shook her head as she looked down at the ground. “ I can’t even concentrate because of this fucking noise.. and then I come in here and you like.. “ she said, just gesturing to him. “ That” Blake clenched her jaw tightly and walked over, grabbing a distortion pedal from around the amp that Logan was using with his guitar. She was cursing to herself, plugging the pedal into the amp before she stepped out of his studio, slamming his door as hard as she could on her way out.

Logan just stood with his arms crossed, nodding when she repeated the question, as if it was stupid but he hadn't been looking for her life story, just wondering if she had a song coming a long or not. Apparently he was in for a lot more than he bargained for. And inside his head he mentally commented on basically everything she said, just nodding slightly in occasion. She started off by saying she had a beautiful daughter, which, Logan first of all internally agreed by default, but added in his mind, yeah thanks to me... She also mentioned being divorced, which he was also able to add, thanks to me... After that she definitely hit on the subject that he wasn't even with Scarlet anymore so she was like, why the hell did we even break up, to which he mentally thought, well fuck if I know... but I don't apparently know shit anymore... then she HAD to go and bring up the fact that he'd just signed Annabelle and he OWED her a personal explanation, which honestly he really did, because he kind of talked to Blake about every decision he made anyways, even after the fact. He just took a deep breath, he could at least talk to her about Annabelle, at least he'd already been planning to.. but oh no. No, sir. She wasn't finished yet. Guess it isn't over until the Diva gets in her last word, apparently. She asked him if he was trying to ruin her life. "Are you serious?" he asked incredulously, and she asked, are trying to make things unbearable, do you want me to leave, blah blah, when she knew damn well none of it was true. "No, why would I want you to leave," he said shaking his head. And she went on about sex appeal, and I don't sell sex, "I knowww..." he said, but she continued on about how he would be no where without her and she won him the most awards, "Jesus Blake, I know. You don't think I know that? I fucking know that. I know you win stuff, you think I don't appreciate your work? What, do you think I just sit in my office all day and say, hmm, how can I make life hell for Blake today?" He let out a breath dropping his hands in a 'what do you want me to do?' gesture. "that" she says. What was that? But it didn't matter because she was walking out anyways, not before walking over and plugging in a pedal for him, which was a nice gesture since she was really up his ass today about everything, and though he was like, iyiyiy all over again, he still liked watching her walk out.
Whatever, she could slam the door all she wanted. It wasn't like putting a door between them was going to make him go away, cuz baby, were stuck together for life. Oh well. She'd get over it the next time she won something. Which would probably be like, tomorrow. He sat down for a few minutes, writing some lyrics down and then remembered he was supposed to make a phone call after lunch, so he opened the studio door and left the room, going to make a quick phone call and ended up just leaving a message anyways. He headed back, leaving the door open so it didn't get too stuffy in there. He just wanted to record, that was all. With out getting yelled at. Just one song, that's all he wanted, just a few minutes of booth time. Then he could be done and go do paper work or something. At least he could work knowing he had actually did something relaxing(ish). Minus all the lectures. So that's what he did. He pieced the track together roughly, grabbed some earphones and hit the booth, recording what he had, singing the verse, and then getting to the chorus, just lost himself in the song for a minute. It was nice to do that, lose yourself for a moment. Plus it was actually a hot track, had some potential. What he'd do with it he didn't know, but it sure sounded pretty decent.

Blake got back to her studio and slammed her door as well. Asshole. Seriously how egotistical and arrogant was he that he thought he could yell back at her like that? He was the one who left her. He was the one that had to have some sort of journey so he could know who and what he wanted, figure himself out. She shook her head, beginning to organize her studio, leveling out picture frames, dusting things that had been cleaned probably five minutes ago. But at least it was nice and quiet, something had gotten through that stupid thick skull of his. She sat back down and looked down at the empty notepad in front of her. She was supposed to be writing a song for the Hunger Games. She wiggled her lips and began to write down a few lyrics, mainly about her relationship with Logan before everything got heavy. Before she knew it she at least had a chorus and a bridge. Not to mention she sort of had an idea of how she wanted the instrumentation to go. And just like that, the fucking noise was back. Blake’s pencil snapped against her notepad before she threw it down and stood up. The anger in her chest was so palpable she felt like it was literally going to burst out of here. Instead she licked her lips and smoothed her hands over her shirt, doing her best to stay calm before she headed out into the hallway and back towards Logans studio. They were the only ones in anyways, she could yell at him all night if she had to.
Blake stopped when she heard him singing, not entering the room completely but instead placed her back against the corner she was hiding behind and turned her ear towards the room to listen to him. Logan hadn’t been in a studio in forever. And the first song he was recording was … that. But the thing about this type of song, not every guy could sing it. You had to have some serious confidence, and Logan.. well he sure as hell earned the right to have that confidence in the bedroom. Blake looked down at her arms, noticing the goosebumps before she placed her palms against the wall and pushed her back away from it. She turned inside the studio and shut his door loudly. Her hands were at her side shaped together in fists. What was she going to do, punch him? Cause she kind of felt like she wanted to. But he was also insanely hot. How could she still be this attracted to him? Who the hell did he think he was.. making decisions that effected everyone. Working around the studio like vocal sex. He was the master at making her hate him and love him at the same time. She wanted to hit him. Really, really bad. But the goosebumps were still there. So instead she pushed past the sound control room, making almost a warpath for Logan before she ripped his earphones off. “ You’re the cockiest, most arrogant, self centered, narcissistic asshole I have ever met” she said before she clenched her jaw and took in a few deep breaths. She was going to walk away, not talk to him . Ever again. That was possible, right? Apparently her body had a different idea because her fingers weren’t in the shape of fists anymore but were clenched around his shirt and pulling him towards her so she could kiss him. Then she sort of hated herself for kissing him. And sort of hated herself for loving it. But she can’t take the anger out on herself, that’s just stupid. So instead she kept kissing him but bit down as roughly as she could against his bottom lip. Blake stepped back from him, tugging against the fabric of his shirt until she pushed it off over his head and shoulders and dropped it to the floor where she did her best to pull him down with her. There it was again, hating herself but sort of loving it at the same time. Punish yourself? No. Dig your nails into the skin on his back? Much better option. Blake held one hand around his neck as she laid back to kiss him, meanwhile digging the nails of her right hand into his back.

It was one thing to be into your work, and a completely different thing to be singing a song and be so into it, it was like you were literally singing directly at the person you were thinking about, making you not even realize that someone had just stormed your music studio and the person that had stormed in just so happened to be the same person you basically singing about and it was like, ask and you shall receive? Logan looked up, registering that Blake was like, hauling ass in his direction, hands balled into fists, looking pissed in the most classic way. Woops, he hadn't shut the door, he knew he should have. The sound probably traveled right down the hallway, bugging the shit out of her and he knew how annoyed she got when there were distractions keeping her from a new song. Blake had ripped the head phones right off of his head, still kind of surprised that she was standing there, "What are yo-" but before he could even ask anything like, what are you doing, she was already yelling at him, telling him he was a cocky, arrogant asshole. And some other stuff, but that was the gist of it. And then, on top of the fact that he wanted to yell at her right back and tell her how much of a diva she was being, she had grabbed his shirt, pulling him in and kissed him. Well, that he hadn't been expecting. He hadn't been expecting her to be so mad and decide to take it out on him either. Like grabbing his lip in her teeth which he had to pull free from her vicious female on an apparently pissed off mission to take him down in more ways than one that actually kind of went against each other. Yell at him, make out with him, didn't exactly agree with each other but then again, they kinda went hand in hand at some point. Bite his lip, dig her nails into his back, take him down with her. She was so mad at him, and she had a lot of reasons to be. But what her body wanted, that didn't lie. She could be as angry as she wanted, but it didn't change the fact that they both still wanted each other. He thought he really could do without all the violence too, but on the other hand, Blake being aggressive was kind of hot. Except it only really turned him on and made him more aggressive, so, you can see where this is going. Its basically how he ended up peeling her hands off himself, so no more inflicting hurt on him, less pain, more good. He had both her hands in his, pinning them to the floor on either side of her, leaning down to kiss her again. It was quite possible that this would turn into angry sex pretty quickly, which, by all means was fine by him. He could take a lecture here and there if it was going to turn into this.

Love made people stupid, reckless, blind. For every reason she shouldn’t be kissing him right now, it was all trumped by one simple fact. She did love him. And she always would, no matter what. She had sort of known that ever since she’d seen him that first day when she was sitting in the corner of their chemistry class while he was chatting away with Riley and Mandi. But that seemed about right. Mandi was Scarlet’s best friend in high school, so of course all of the beautiful people hung out together. Girls like Mandi and Scarlet.. that’s who Logan was going to end up with. Not that she was without any notoriety. Though her miniscule popularity came from the fact that she was dating Chad. Girls swooned over him like he was walking sex.. or chocolate. And though Riley and Chad were best friends, Logan and Chad never really hung out so Blake didn’t really get a chance to see Logan ever in high school. Sure they went to parties that were thrown by mutual friends, particularly Riley. But she sort of avoided him at all costs. And here he was peeling her nails away from his body and pinning them against the floor. In All Time Low’s studio, which in the back of her mind she was really wishing wasn’t already contaminated thanks to Shane or Jack.
Blake fought back against him pinning her hands against the floor and sat upright moving her lips away from his own and to his neck as her fingers fumbled to unbutton his jeans. A thousand things were running through her mind. They shouldn’t be doing this on the floor of a studio, when was the last time he was even with Scarlet, this was probably sending him mixed messages, it was probably sending herself mixed messages. But all of it was sort of over powered by one thing. She loved him. So they were on the floor of a studio, who cared. And yeah he was with Scarlet not too long ago, but.. she had signed off on that hadn’t she? Mixed signals were sort of the trademark of their relationship. Don’t date her, we’re best friends. No I don’t like you, but let’s sleep together. How could you be with Sienna, let me go ahead and sleep with Chad. Then again, he didn’t know about that. Some things were better off unsaid. Besides none of it really mattered if you had ever seen Logan shirtless. As vain as it was and shallow… he had a body that sort of made your mind turn to mush. There was a lot she wanted to tell him, a lot that they needed to discuss. But who gave a shit about that right now . She forced herself to be back in the moment, biting down roughly against his shoulder as she pushed not only her thoughts from her mind but the last of Logan’s clothes from his frame.
Blake looked up at the time, scrunching her nose when she realized how late in the night it was. Riley and Mackenzie had no problem watching Kenzie but they were probably at least wondering where either her or Logan were. In fact there were probably missed calls on their phones, voicemails, texts. Blake adjusted her head in the way that it was laying against the edge of his arm and shoulder before she moved her hair off of her neck and took in a deep breath to try and calm her heart. She turned her neck, looking over at Logans chest, arms, his leg that was bent at the knee and sticking up as they laid down. All of it covered in various claw or bite marks. She looked at one scratch in particular, tracing her finger over where it lay on his chest. It was quiet and she hated to interrupt it. But they couldn’t just lay here like this forever, falling into the same old routine that they always did. Just sleeping with each other, though that was his fault. He was the one that made himself appealing. “ Logan,” she said quietly, curling her fingertip against his scratch instead of tracing it now. ‘ I don’t want to send just mixed signals. After the other night and.. the trip to see Shane and now this, it’s just… I do want you back. Eventually. I just think you have a lot to discover about yourself until I’m willing to let that happen,”

When put into perspective, the number of times this had happened, and in this situation or setting, was really not uncommon between Logan and Blake. You would think by now they would have learned their lesson, they already had one kid, what were they trying to do, give Kenzie a sibling? Logan almost laughed to himself, thinking how stupid and reckless they sometimes were, how young they really were showing its true colors. So they weren't completely responsible adults all the time. But wasn't that exactly what Logan was realizing he didn't want yet? He didn't want to be a stiff guy in a suit sitting behind a desk all day long and pretending like he was older than he was. He didn't need to be that guy in order to be good at his job, or to be a good husband/boyfriend/ex- whatever he was, or a good dad. That image worked really well for other people, but apparently not for Logan. And apparently also, he was finding, maybe he wasn't quite ready just yet yo give up on his own music career. He supposed maybe he had just put it on hold, but when was the right time to pick it back up? Now may as well be as good a time as ever. And this stuff with Blake, when was the right time to try and make that work again? She was totally right, they had been married and divorced already, so maybe there were things he needed to figure out, otherwise things would be better between them, maybe still married. Things got so out of control so fast. But he thought it was possible it would take just about ages to get them back on track. But if figuring his shit out made that happen faster, then that's what e was going to do.
Logan turned to look at her, looking at him. He gave a small nod. He understood. He wanted to be together too... that was what they had always wanted anyways. All they ever wanted was to just be together, every time things were bad, or they were with other people, or for some reason things weren't working out. It always came back down to the fact that they just loved each other. So all they both ever really wanted was to be together, whatever the cost. Logan offered her a small nod, agreeing, "Okay, fair enough." He was about to do some serious soul searching because honestly, if that was what was between them, then he didn't want to keep her waiting any longer than she had to. He sighed, "So," glancing back at her, before laying his head back, "I'm a cocky, arrogant, self centered, narcissistic asshole, did i get it right? Didn't forget anything?" He shook his head slightly, letting out a soft chuckle. "Well. This... cocky, arrogant, self centered, narcissistic... asshole... loves you. So." Well, it was true. He was a lot of things, and in love with Blake was one of them. "I'm sorry about the wait."

Blake adjusted the way she was laying against Logan, already feeling her heart skip a beat just by the simple fact that he had turned to look at her. How lucky was she. Of all of the girls in the world, Logan Renner was laying on the floor of a studio with his arm around her . Even after everything they had been through that meant more to her than anything. And not just because he was Logan Renner – boy turned savvy by becoming a media icon and legendary entrepenuer. It was because he was Logan Renner – irresistible upper classmen who had the smile of a smooth talking politician and the personality of everyone’s favorite party guy. He was smooth with teachers, talented at singing, tapped his pencil against his desk when he was busy concentrating. He gave reports on subjects you could tell he half-assed the night before but was able to get everyone to smile and laugh so much once he was in front of them that he always got good grades. He was an entertainer, in every facet of his life. When he smiled, her heart melted. When he wrapped his arms around Scarlet, she had wished it was her. When they accidentally ran into each other in the hallway, she could have sworn she felt some sort of electricity flowing through him. When he handed her a pencil she dropped, she lost all ability to speak and would look away like a diva bitch. He was Logan Renner, the boy who stole her heart – long before he was ever Logan Renner the media tycoon. “ Yeah well I’m the stupid girl that’s in love with that assholy guy,”
“ Logan I’ve waited for someone to make you feel the way I do since the day I was born. And I’ve waited for you specifically since ninth grade. I can handle waiting a little bit longer… maybe you’ll get another platinum cd framing to put in your office out of it,” she said sarcastically with a quiet chuckle beneath her breath. Blake took in a deep breath and sat up, looking back down at Logan to offer her own apology since he gave one, “ … Sorry about all the scratchmarks you’ll be getting over the next forseeable future,” she said, smiling before she leaned down to give him a kiss. Once she picked up her clothes she pulled them on and stood back up, smoothing her hands out over her shirt. “ Whatever you were working on sounds really good… are you thinking about releasing something?” she asked , picking up the pieces of paper he had written notes on. He had a lot going on his life, a lot of new beginnings. But it sort of seemed like what he needed to get back to was the root of everything. The love he felt for Blake. The love he felt for singing music, not just being behind the scenes.

Logan laughed slightly, "You're not stupid." If falling in love with him was stupid then they're were both incredibly unintelligent for loving each other as if it was going out of style. And he knew she didn't mean just recently. They had a long history that Logan wasn't aware of until he and Blake really got to know one another, after he'd already graduated. He wondered what would have happened if he'd have known in high school that Blake liked him. How he would have reacted, or what he would have done about it. Even though he knew Blake had to deal with it all in high school and he was virtually clueless, he wouldn't trade anything. He selfishly thought to himself how many award winning songs came out of that time in her life, and honestly, he thought if they had somehow gotten together in high school they wouldn't be where they were now. And though they weren't perfect, he wouldn't trade the current Logan and Blake for anything. Plus they had Kenzie. Logan got up too, pulling his jeans back on and over his hips, running a hand through his hair and glanced at Blake, adjusting her shirt. She mentioned the track he was recording, asking him if he was thinking about releasing something. He shrugged, "I don't know. I hadn't really... thought about it, honestly." Logan walked out of the recording booth and sat down in front of the sound board in the leather chair, swiveling around to face Blake, rolling the other one in her direction so she could sit down. "I kind of forgot that I really liked it, recording music. For myself. I just... you know, I wanted everyone else to be successful, so I just focused on that. I just figured my singing career was done, gone producer." He sighed, "I know it sounds stupid, but I molded Joel's career after my own, so I didn't even need my own career, I was living vicariously through Joel," he laughed, shaking his head, "And now... well. You know what I mean." Now Joel was lying in a hospital bed. Logan had a lot more time on his hands. Not that he was excited about it. He really would rather have Joel awake and working his little teenage butt off, then Logan having an open schedule and time for his own stuff. He didn't want Joel in the hospital. Logan shrugged it off, no sense in getting all upset about it all over again. Time would tell. "So, you were writing a song?"

Blake followed Logan towards the sound board, watching him from behind as she did so. Just because they had been married didn’t mean she quit checking him out. Quite the opposite. It was things like that, that made him more attractive. And just when she thought he couldn’t be even more appealing, he became the father of her child. His sex appeal just kept skyrocketing. She held her hand on the back of the chair he rolled towards her, debating whether or not she should sit down. It was hard for her to let loose at the studio and just talk – this coming from the girl who had no problem sleeping with Logan during business hours. Often. After a moments hesitation she sat down, scooting the chair closer towards Logan as he spoke. He did work hard making sure everyone put out their best, and he knew how to handle each artist to make that happen. Leave Blake alone, drag Kat by her hair into her studio, let Ryan spend days, weeks, months, on perfecting an album, just let Shane shred for a little while. Blake placed her hands on the armrests of the chair and stood up, making her to Logan’s chair where she stood by him.
“ You put a lot of pressure on yourself, Logan Renner,” she said, placing her delicate fingers against his neck and shoulders before she started to give him a massage. No one knew better than her just how much he actually put in, how much he took home with him, how much stress it put on his shoulders. Could he handle it? Absolutely. Could anyone else, doubtful. But regardless of if he could handle it or not, it was a lot. She pressed her thumbs deep into his back, trying to think of how to best word what she wanted to say. “ Maybe the way to get the best out of your artists is to do what makes you happy. Inspire them a little bit,” she offered, still not sure how to handle the Joel situation. But she certainly didn’t want to ignore it the way Madeline did. “ The only reason Joel’s career has a life of its’ own is because he is lucky to have your leadership.. and when he recovers. He’ll be just as lucky..” she said , moving her arms to wrap them around his neck and give him a loose hug as she placed her cheek on his head. “ I love you Logan..” she whispered, wondering what all was going on inside his head. “ And I’ll support you no matter what you decide to do. Just make sure it’s for you, and not for anyone else.”

Logan watched Blake for a moment, thinking. Here he was, at least sure of what woman he wanted, but she she was making him wait because... he was going to make her wait if he was going to figure himself out. So they were making each other wait. Indirectly. He had some things to figure out. And it probably wouldn't hurt Blake to do some soul searching too, for herself. Blake had walked around his chair, placing her hands on his shoulders, just working out the kinks and told him he put to much pressure on himself. He shook his head, but perhaps she was right. Maybe he did. But he had a lot of success to show for it. Yeah he worked his ass off some days. But he sure reaped the rewards of hard work. It was always that balancing act that he was trying to find. Between not working too hard but working just hard enough. But all of what Blake said was usually true anyways. Maybe doing his own music again was something to consider. And Logan didn't know what type of success Joel would have had he been signed somewhere else. There was no use in pondering it. It was what it was. "I just don't want Joel to think he went into a coma so I took it as a good time to steal his spotlight. It's just not the right time. And on that way of thinking, I don't think any time would be the right time to do so." Logan closed his eyes, relaxing his shoulders as Blake wrapped her arms around him. He could be stressed to the max and this right here completely calmed him down. Every time. No matter what was going on in his busy life, Blake had that way of stopping time and clearing his head. He could feel her rest her cheek against his head, speaking to him. He could be as confused as hell and she just put it in perspective. Do it for himself, whatever it was. He still wasn't so sure what he would end up doing, but at a least one person was behind him, someone who counted. When he and Blake had gone to visit the kids on tour, he'd wanted to tell her he loved her still. but it had felt like such unfair timing. He didn't want her to feel bitter or confused or whatever else telling her would have created. Ever since then it had bugged him that he hadn't told her, because it had always been so natural to tell her. So now it was a relief to tell her, like he'd been holding his breath until he got the chance again. Like unfinished business, like them. "I love you, too."
