[Anne-Neal] Radio Interview

Joel twisted the cap of his water bottle back on as he headed towards the building for the interview, holding the door open long enough so Anne could walk through. They hadn’t been in Australia very long ; long enough to get about six hours of sleep maybe and yet here they were. Hit the ground running, back to work. Joel pinched the bridge of his nose as he headed over to the elevator. He wasn’t sure about Anne, but he hadn’t eaten yet. Sleep had sounded more important at the time. Now that he had a little bit of that, his stomach was growling. “ Hey, yo” he said to one of the members of his management as he straightened in the elevator. “ I think Anne and I gotta eat some breakfast after this.. Anyone see like an IHOP or a Denny’s somewhere? I’m craving some pancakes like crazy,” he said, his South African accent tugging through to show just how tired he was before he looked over at Anne. Hopefully she wanted pancakes. But when had anyone ever in the history of the world… turned down pancakes? He could feel the hollow, empty feeling in his stomach now. Finally the doors opened and Joel walked off the elevator and towards the small little studio where the radio host was. It didn’t take long for everything to get set up, beverages were offered. Joel sat down on his stool, running his palms out over his knees before he looked over at Anne and gave a smirk. “ Alright welcome back to 106.2 the Wild.. we’re joining you now with Joel Foster and Anne-Neal.. guys.. this tour… it’s pretty phenomenal. Are you proud of what you’ve done so far?” the interviewer asked and Joel lift his eyebrows, bringing his hand up to the side of his jaw so he could scratch it while he talked. “ You know this tour means a lot to me. I came out with a different sound and.. I wasn’t sure whether or not the fans were going to react to it. And Anne was a great person to join me on tour. She’s doing a good job, she’s holder her own against the mania that it can be,” he said giving a small chuckle as he looked over at Anne.

Perform. Travel. Sleep. Perform. Interview. Sleep. Repeat. That's all Anne- Neal and Joel's lives have been for the past 5 months. Occasionally they would have a few days off, but today was not one of those days. Another interview, but atleast this was a radio interview. All Anne-Neal could do was smile and give Joel a small head nod to thank him for holding the door for her. Not only was she tired, Anne-Neal was starving! Anne quickly nodded along when Joel looked at her, "I would kill for some pancakes right now." she said with a small laugh. Actually she'd even kill for a Nutrigrain bar or something. Anything to atleast take the edge off a bit. At least she wasn't the only one. She could hear Joel's stomach over the elevator music playing quietly in the background. Exhausted and starving, what a combination. They got their headsets and stools all set up and Anne-Neal swiveled in hers a few times while the interviewer asked the first question. Anee-Neal looked over at Joel the whole time he was answering and then smiled when he looked at her. "Yeah, with this being my first tour and all, Joel has been there to help me out when I need it. I couldn't have picked anyone better to go out with for the first time. And he's right, it's gets so intense sometimes," she said with a small laugh as she brished some hair behind her ear, "but I love all the hype and all the love and positive energy I get from the fans when I'm out performing." She shifted in her seat as the interviewer shuffled through papers, reading the next question."That's right , this is your first tour. Seems like you're handling it well though. Your fanbase grows more and more everyday. When you first started, did you ever think you'd ever be here?" "Truthfully, no." she said with another laugh, "I never in a million years thought my first tour would be with someone as big as Joel Foster and like you said, my fanbase is growing everyday and I couldn't be happier. All their support means the world to me."

Joel twisted open a bottle of water while listening to Anne talking to the radio host. “ She doesn’t need my help as often as she makes it sound,” he said, giving a quiet laugh before he took a drink of water, spinning from side to side in his seat. “ You do have a pretty passionate fanbase. Were you disappointed when you couldn’t perform that string of concerts in the middle east?” the radio host asked and Joel laughed again, speaking to her instead of the radio host. “ Did you ever hear the reason as to why on that? Apparently I’m ‘too attractive’ and I had the potential of ‘corrupting the morals of their women’” Joel said while shaking his head. Some kids. “ What about Anne, have you tried to corrupt her morals? You do have a new image after all, tried any of that ‘swag’ on Anne?” Joel laughed, that was actually more common of a question than he thought it would be. You go on tour with someone of the opposite sex, people ask questions. “ No, it’s not like that. I’ve got a couple of girl friends that mean the world to me. Felicia O’Neil, we’re officially related now that Madeline and Ryan got hitched. Dani Cooper, Talia Richmond, Claire Fo-Madden,ha. And then of course Kiersten and Faith.. I’m a pretty lucky guy. And not a single one of them would fall for my ‘swag’. I’m pretty sure I annoy Anne on tour more than any anything.” he said before smiling over at her. “And at the beginning of your tour we found out that you and your fiancé ended your engagement. Rumor has it that you’re hanging around with Libby Madison. Are you two an item?”. Joel lift his eyebrows at Anne , giving her a knowing look. They had just talked about wanting to keep this interview strictly music. But he’d been in the business long enough to know that wasn’t going to happen. “Yeah Tori and I are no longer together. But she’s got a lot of great stuff coming up with college and she’s doing great.” he offered. “ And Libby?” he asked, “ She’s a great girl,” Joel said clearly ready to move on from the question. “ What about you Anne, are you seeing anyone?”
