Jo was staring at Rory, because Rory looked like she had been put through the ringer. And here she was, standing with her mouth slightly open cause Kelin had sat down, and didn’t she think he might do that if she asked him to stick around? “Uh..” she said, looking around the living room as she tried to decide where to sit. “ What do I do?” she mouthed to Rory in a rush before she bugged her eyes out like Rory was supposed to telepathically help her out. But it was getting awkward just standing there like an idiot with her eyes all big so she turned and looked at Kelin as he complimented the apartment. She made a face at him like he was an idiot, “ Yeah it’s homey.. it’s a home..” she said, shaking her head. “ What is that.. hey your shoes look like shoes. Congratulations your jacket works like a jacket.” Jo sat in a couple of places before awkwardly standing up and looking around, blinking at Ethan as he stared at her like she was a circus act. “ I’m just going to sit here..” she said, pointing to the couch as she kept her eyes on Ethan and moved to sit next to Kelin. She looked at him once before sitting up straight, setting a pillow between them and sitting on the edge of the couch. She narrowed her eyebrows, because still, he had compliment her, so she turned to look at him. " You have a nice face," she said along with a furrow of her eyebrows. " But don't let it go to your head," she said, thinking she was funny for a moment and laughed to herself.

Rory honestly was just trying really hard not to laugh because in all honesty she felt bad for Jo at the moment.  Jo had every right to be guarded and trying to be nice and guarded at the same time wasn't Jo's specialty.  She gave Jo a sympathetic look  while she tried to sit somewhere,  glancing at Ethan with a tiny smile, "I'll grab you another beer..."  Maybe it was good to just not be standing next to him for a minute because it was a little intoxicating at this point and clearly there was some other intoxicating to be going on.  Rory came back with two beers and handed one to Ethan who had sat on the floor and sat down too, grabbing a pillow to lean against.  Rory looked at Jo, silently willing her to take a breath and then laughed at Jo's joke.  Rory thought she was funny anyways.  "Okay, are we going to play a game or something?"

” So weird…” he said as he watched Jo moving around her own apartment like she was taken up on a spaceship. Just.. sit down. Why did it matter where you sat? He looked over at Kelin as she had chastised him for complimenting the apartment. “ Alright, Jo. Your apartment is small, is that what you want to hear?” he said before smiling at her.He nodded when Aurora said she would get him another beer. “ Thanks,” he said before looking around at his options and decided to sit down on the floor since they would be playing a game and sitting at the table seemed like the best option. He looked between Jo and Kelin, thinking that this was just the weirdest thing in the world when he looked up at smiled at Aurora, “ Thank you again,” he said to her for the second time as she sat down beside him. “ Yeah, what shall it be? Assholes? Bullshit? Poker? Waterfalls? Quarters? Flip Cup?” he asked looking around. He smiled as he looked over at Kelin. “ Can you hang, old man?”

Kelin took a very long sip of his drink because Jo was giving him whiplash with the way she was changing her mind.  Maybe she would loosen up when she was drinking.  He looked at her and smiled when she complimented his face.  That was nice of her.  Shewas due for a rude comment any minute now.  Kelin was a little confused because he had thought that Rory was just a girl Ethan had met like one time at a store but they seemed like something other than having just met that one time casually.  He thought he missed a memo somewhere because he also was under the impression that Ethan was engaged to Natalia Richmond.  This... was a strange group of strangers tonight.  Ethan listed a bunch of games they could play, Kelin retorting, "Oh come on, I'm not that old really," he laughed, but Rory piped up and asked about just playing waterfall.  "Alright then, Rory wants to play waterfall, sounds good to me."  Rory had went to grab a can of beer from the fridge and put it in the middle of the table so Kelin took the liberty of spreading the cards around it.  "Jo you go first," he added with a smile.  She had told him his face was nice.

Jo leaned down, taking off her boots before she slid them under the table and brought her left knee up to her chest as she then tried to sit perfectly still. She rest her chin on her knee, looking over at Ethan and Rory. Waterfalls was a really fun game, and it seemed like everyone had a relatively new drink. She watched as Kelin spread the cards out. She wasn’t sure how much of her actually wanted to hang out with him. Because tomorrow things would go back to normal and she’d be the intern that never spoke with him, and he’d have no purpose of talking to her. She was biting down hard on the edge of her lip when she realized that he had spoken to her, telling her that she could go first. ‘ Oh,” she said, leaning for to pick up a card. “ Two,” she said, looking in Kelin’s direction. “ For you,” She looked away from him before glancing at Rory, giving her a half scared shitless quick smirk before she cleared her throat and pushed her hair away from her face.

Rory smiled when Jo looked at her like she was terrified and wiggled her eyebrows at her.  It was funny because really Jo only ever complained about him, so obviously she liked him but now that he was in their apartment randomly, it was a lot for Jo.  "Oh, me," Rory said, snapping herself out of her own thoughts and pulled a card, looking at it.  It was a 3.  Rory groaned, "I can already see where this is going," she laughed, shaking her head and took a drink of her beer.  She really didn't want to end up the drunkest one at the end of he night, that was why she shied away from those other games she sucked at.  But she couldn't help the luck of the drawer.  She was just a little bit worried about how this night was going to end, because at this point, anything was possible.

Ethan cracked his fingers as he watched everyone, laughing quietly as Kelin suggested that he wasn’t too old. Okay. And just like that the game had started, the first drinks being delivered to the old man himself. Ethan laughed slightly as he looked at Kelin before turning to look at Aurora. It felt like it was early in the night and that this could go one of two ways. And they only had one couch to sleep on, he thought to himself as he cast a quick glance in Kelin’s direction. He smiled as Aurora had to take a drink for herself. “ Alright,” he said leaning forward to draw a card. “ Ah, five. Um.. Alright, from now on whenever someone has to take a drink, they have to reveal something about themselves whether it’s by telling their own secret or answering a question someone asks. And it’s not limited to how many people have to drink. So if we have a waterfall we all have to tell something, “ he said. He looked over, smiling at Aurora for a moment before giving her a quick wink and looked up at Kelin for his turn.

Kelin nodded at the new rule, "Okay fair enough."  He reached over to grab a new card and his arm brushed Jo's accidentally before he pulled it away, "Jack.  So we all drink and everyone has to tell where they are originally from."  That seemed easy enough to start with as they were all strangers.  And New York was certainly a melting pot of people from all over.  "I am from Ireland, in a city called Drogheda." He nodded, taking a drink of his beer and looked at Rory expectantly who also drank some of her beer and responded, "I'm from Traverse City, Michigan..." Apparently Americans from all over flocked to the big city as well.  Kelin knew Ethan was from Australia, wondering where Jo would say she was from.

“ That is a stupid rule. This isn’t truth or dare, you’re ruining drinking with trying to get to know eachother,” she said in annoyance before Kelin seemed to go along with Ethans rule change, causing her to give a defiant sigh. But when he leaned forward, she froze momentarily as his arm touched hers. She was really proud of herself at this moment because she could’ve easily told him to watch himself and scoot farther down on the couch if he needed space, but really she just kept silent. It was either maturity, or the fact that she felt like her heart had leaped into her vagina. Or something. “ Drogheda…” Jo said, trying to annunciate it with the same accent. “ That sounds like when Milo is trying to cough up a hairball,” she said before taking a drink out of her beer, listening as Ethan and Rory said where they are from. “I am from the lonestar state.” she said, giving a lethargic ‘hook em’ gesture with her hands. “ Okay,” Jo said, pushing her hair from her face as she leaned forward to take a card.

‘Six for… “ she said, starting to say the word before she gestured to the guys. “ Okay. Ethan. Aren’t you engaged?” she asked, watching as he gave a slight choke to his beer while taking a drink. She smiled, awaiting an answer at the moment of silence. “ That I am,” he said, though Jo kept her eyes locked on him with her eyebrows lift slightly, her hand placed under her chin as she waited for him to expand. “ There’s uh…” he said , clearly trying to get the focus off of himself, “ A question for Kelin as well yes?”. Jo narrowed her eyes at Ethan before straightening up and looking at Kelin. Asking him something deep would mean trying to get to know him, and she knew that was something that was a dead end road. “ Do you like cats or dogs..”

Rory stared at Jo for a moment and blinked a few times as she spoke to Ethan.  Well that was a bit forward wasn't it?  Why did she ask that.  Although Ethan responded that he indeed was engaged and turned the attention to Kelin.  Who responded that he really was more of a cat person.  Who even calls their self a cat person?  Rory was still recovering from Jo's question, way to just slap the reality back on the table.  Rory quietly pulled another card and got a 7.  "Okay, waterfalls..."  Rory tipped her beer back, deciding to finish it and get it over with.  She looked over at Ethan who had to drink until she did, but she was fairly positive he would finish his before her anyways.  She set her empty can down and thought for a moment and then said, "Everyone has to say their dream job.  Mine would be..." she paused, giving it a quick thought, "Running my own business.  And design a kids clothing line.  Maybe." Maybe not so much a dream job, as to her it didn't feel like work when she was enjoying it that much.  But she knew eventually she wanted to work for herself because she knew it would be way more satisfactory.

Ethan was still rolling his beer in his hands back and forth, not looking up since Jo had asked about whether or not he was engaged. Yeah. He was. And even he didn’t know what was going on in his mind, so he was trying to figure it out for himself. He looked over when Rory drew a 7 and smiled slightly as he listened to her talking about what she wanted to do. It was so….normal. “ That’s pretty cool,” he said with a nod. “When I was a full time student I was going to school for a political science and history degree. But if I had to pick something to do forever it would have been soccer. I like that a lot,” be said, looking to Jo and Kelin for their answers. “ Shut up,” Jo said, looking a little excited at his response. “ I can’t wait to be a professor someday at a college. But I want to go overseas….. to Ireland..to be a professor.” she said reluctantly, making a point to not look in Kelin’s direction. Ethan looked at Kelin to hear his answer , biting at the edge of his lip before they could all begin the waterfall drink, which inevitably finished in them all finishing the beer they already had. Ethan jumped up, going to the kitchen to grab them each another beer before he sat down. Ethan drew another five, giving a quick laugh. “ Do you girls have scarves? We’re going to play blind folded from now on. Save for when you are drawing a card, no lying.” he said, pointing at each of them. He watched as the girls gave each other a look before disappearing to their rooms to get what he assumed was scarves. At this point he turned to Kelin, " Well I would say you're a cat person tonight..." he said, shaking his head at the feline like traits Jo was displaying.

It was a little funny how with some actors it was their dream to make it big and others just sort of fell into it.  It didn't surprise Kelin at all that Ethan didn't have actor on his list of dream job.  Kelin had always liked acting and it had been a major part of his life, though dream job was tough to say.  He glanced over at Jo when she said she wanted to be a professor in Ireland of all places.  She had known a lot about it earlier, so maybe that wasn't so hard to believe.  "Do you really?  Have you had the chance to go over there and visit?"  he was curious as to what made her pick Ireland, as it didn't sound like it had anything to do with him, and why would it?  "I think I would have to say, if I wasn't doing acting, I don't know, I might want to build furniture."  It was sort of weird, but there was something about building something out of nothing that had it's appeals.  Kelin shook his head with a smile at Ethan's rules.  Any more and who knew where Ethan would take this game.  After the girls had gone to find scarves Ethan mentioned that Kelin was a cat person tonight, but smiled and joked, "That's funny, I might have said you are a single person tonight."

Jo walked toward the hallway with her arms crossed as she stood close to Rory. “ What happened on that roof?” she asked with a lift of her eyebrows in Rory’s direction before she made her way into her own room. She looked at her vanity, taking a couple of scarves off of her vanity, one of them that she had actually just worn yesterday to work, before she made her way back out to the living room. She leaned down, whispering something into Ethans ear before she sat down on the couch with her feet underneath her legs. “ Here,” she said to Kelin, pushing her hair out of her face before she lift one of the scarves and placed it over his eyes to tie it. She could wait to put hers on since it was her turn to draw next. Jo waited until Rory had returned and everyone else put their scarves on before she leaned forward and drew a card. “ Four.. which means Rory you’re the only one with a question, um.. “ she said, biting at the edge of her lip as she tried to think of a question that wouldn’t throw her best friend under the bus, but would still be in good humor. “ What is Ethan’s worst movie?” she asked with a smile while playing with her scarf in her own hands.

Rory followed Jo down the hall to get some scarves, actually not all that surprised that Ethan didn't seemingly think acting was a dream job.  She wondered why he did it.  Rory made a face when Jo asked what had happened on the roof and placed her hands on Jo's shoulders, "Honestly, nothing.  I have no idea, really no idea," she said, shaking her head.  "Something.  But nothing."  Which that contradiction, Rory went to her room to grab scarves and then came back to the living room and handed one to Ethan before putting hers on.  It smelled like her perfume a little.  Rory pulled her scarf off one eye to look at Jo with a smirk like, really?  Jo knew Rory had never seen even half of his films.  She pulled the scarf back over her eye, thinking, "Ummm... Expendables."  Rory had never seen it.  But laughed a little, and fought the urge to peek at him from under her scarf.  Rory reached for her beer, but realized blindfolded, she did not know which one was hers.  Maybe it was this one...  and for some reason being blindfolded felt like she also couldn't talk. Which was pretty stupid.  Then she realized it was her turn and pushed her scarf up so she could pull a card.  It was an ace.  "Okay it's an ace, Kelin you have to drink.  And aren't you divorced?"  Maybe it was the beer because Rory normally wouldn't ask such a question.  "I am actually divorced, yes."  Rory nodded and put her scarf back on, well that was an easy answer she had been curious about.

Ethan lift his eyebrow slightly as Kelin made a sly little dig about Ethan behaving as though he was single. “ Sassy Kelin has claws,” he said dryly before the girls came back into the room. He looked up at Rory, smiling as he took the scarf from her hand as she sat down. Ethan reached forward, picking up his beer and setting it on the inside of the way his leg was bent before he started putting the blindfold on. But the moment he heard Jo ask what his worst movie was he turned his head in Rorys direction. When she said Expendables he couldn’t help but laugh, “Ah man.. that was a shitter..” he said with a really broad smile. Not that any of his movies were really these dark inner meaning movies, but still. Expendables had been garbage. He only did it so he could say he had met some of the guys that worked on the film. Just as quickly someone was being put in the hot seat, hearing Rory ask Kelin about whether or not he was divorced. “ Cause he’s old,” Ethan added with a smirk before taking in a breath. He lift the scarf up a bit so he could draw a card, looking down at it. “ Two… for you,Kelin,” he said, tapping the card against his hand as he tried to think of a question. “Why are you hanging out with a sticky fingered intern? “
