Hope you’re keeping cool in the summer heat, but don’t cool off too fast, because it seems things right here in Manhattan are heating up all on their own. The city’s big, so maybe you’re having trouble keeping up on all the gossip, who’s dating who, who’s on drugs, who’s pregnant… but the city isn’t that big and I have the scoop for you. I hope you’re sitting down because life in the big apple just got a lot more interesting…
Long time friends Natalia Richmond and Claire Fox shared a well needed vacation on a cruise ship recently, but it definitely wasn’t a girls only trip. Good friend Stefan Thomas joined them with girlfriend, Hillary Jones, not to mention Claire’s uber sexy older brother Ethan and good friend Anthony Owen. Sounds like fun, yeah? I’m sure they would agree. I did the math, seems like everyone paired off pretty easily. One might think that Claire would be bothered by the fact that her best friend and brother don’t hide that they’re into each other, but who would notice that when she has her own guy, Anthony, to keep her occupied. There’s another “just friends” relationship about to become “more than just” if you get what I mean. The two were seen having a heated argument that ended in Anthony walking away from the situation. Wonder what that was about…
Looks like Hope Drake doesn’t need a tropical vacation in order to find something to do. The New York native is known for her mysterious demeanor and her tendency to stray away from social situations and most that have seen her agree that she can be quite intimidating. Maybe it’s just the aura of mystery that follows her around. After all, her own sisters don’t even seem to be able to get through to her these days. Lately it seems no one knows exactly where she is, who she’s with or what she’s doing. Not that it’s anything new, but more interesting is the fact that she was seen at a nearby Starbucks’s this week looking quite nervous. Who knew she was capable of having feelings? Apparently she’s human after all. The real question is, what dirty business has she gotten herself involved in now that could have her looking so frazzled? Careful Hope, there are people in the city even bigger and badder than you…
Maybe it slipped by you, but I sure noticed the handful of new comers that are now calling Manhattan their permanent home. And they brought a lot more then boxes and clothes during the big move. It’s possible they may have single handedly made a field day for people like me. California native Logan Renner just moved the home location of his super successful and very well known record label, Taboo Records, and with it he happened to bring not only his artists, but his own little family of friends. Where one goes, the others will follow? The scoop on these newbies is hot, so try to keep up.
Logan just recently married his girlfriend and first ever signed artist to his label, none other than the country pop star, Blake Parker. She may be a Renner now, but she’ll always be a Parker to fans. The two got married in LA last month, and surprise, surprise, Blake is expecting their first child. Damn, with genes like that, their kid will probably come out with a guitar and a mic. No one would be surprised if we have a future pop star on our hands.
Logan’s younger bro, Lance Renner, seems to bring new meaning to the word heartthrob. This mini version of his successful big brother is just as hot, if not hotter, and ladies, try not to drool over his adorable British accent. If you’re looking, you may just be in luck, because this one is single. That’s right, someone please pounce on that before I do. The only problem is his best friend, Kiersten Bannon, who although she’s cute to boot, may be the only thing stopping a girl from bagging that hottie. Can people please stop with the “just friends”? These two have made it clear they are obviously more than friends, but yet they still manage to act, well, platonic. Lance and Kiersten take friends-with-benefits to the next level. Someone should break that up and get him in a real relationship before someone gets hurt because there has got to be some deeper feelings there. And it’s not going to end pretty…
Looks like Kiersten won’t have a sister to turn to when in need of love advice. Older sister, Mackenzie “Mack” Bannon just recently moved out of the new apartment she shared with her little sis and cousin, Ellie Ridgefield, and into the big, old, luxurious brownstone of boyfriend Riley Collins. However, one week there and things already turned sour, but not because of relationship problems. Riley ran into the street to save a young boy from getting hit by a car when out to lunch with Lance Renner, got hit himself by the said taxi, landing him in the hospital with some serious memory loss. Looks like Mr. Collins forgot who his girlfriend even was, and his baby. Apparently before the move from Malibu, California, Riley found out he had a young daughter when the mother died from reasons unknown to me. Anyways, the gist of it is, Riley had then been raising his daughter, got back together with Mackenzie, since they’d been broken up at the time, and then moved out here, only to get hit by a damn taxi and lose his memory. It’s a really shitty situation for all around, so send some good thoughts out their way.
The incident has affected their little group of friends, hitting pretty hard. Riley’s best friend, Chad Masters has been by his side through the whole thing, along with Chad’s wife Samantha. From a distance, you’d never know they were a product of a drunken marriage in Las Vegas… they seem pretty happy actually. Starting a family soon perhaps? Or perhaps Chad’s family here in Manhattan is enough. What is wrong with you Chad, neglecting to introduce your new wife to your relatives over a big plate of spaghetti? Or are you worried it’d be discussed at the dinner table with other family business you don’t want Sam to know about? Don’t worry Samantha, sometimes marriage comes with a price, but there isn’t anything wrong with meeting your husband’s “family” and his “cousins”…
Katy Sutton had been on tour with boyfriend Shane Madden and his band, All Time Low, and close friend Ryan O’Neil with his band the Maine. After receiving news of Riley’s accident, Kat has decided to pull from the tour and come home to New York. But she’s less than upset, probably itching to get back in the studio. Joel foster is on the fast track to pop stardom, as it seems Logan has taken him on as his own protégé. Careful when playing favorites, Logan, you don’t want to step on anyone’s toes. Joel seems to have what it takes to make it big, and by that I mean he’s a smooth talker. Perhaps Taboo Records might be seeing Dani Cooper around the studio. Anyone else hoping for a label switch? She’s got the package, hopefully she jumps on the Taboo Train which seems to be speeding on the track to success. I’d want to be a part of that. And a part of whatever Joel Foster is offering her…
Speaking of Foster’s, Joel's big sis Madeline, better known for her modeling contract with Victoria’s Secret, has herself in her own mess with another one of Renner’s talents. This angel went and got herself married to a congressman during a break up with Ryan O’Neil, but it doesn’t look like new hubby Patrick O’Callaghan is too fond of her past relationship with the rocker. And for good reason, I’d be worried too if my wife was still going to her ex boyfriend’s shows, which she was recently seen at along with Scarlet Harris and Mandi Collins. Scarlet was seen getting chatted up by our own Curtis Fields. But I’d say there’s more than good reason to warn Curtis against chasing after that. It’d be nice to say she’s just on the rebound from long term relationship with ex Logan Bolton, but let’s face it, was Bolton the only one that thought that would last? Scarlet isn’t all that torn up about the break up, in fact, she’s been known to scare easily when it comes to relationships. Looks like someone just isn’t ready to settle down, if ever. And why would she, she’s young, hot, rich and apparently her father, Senator Harris of California, is campaigning to run for president. Scarlet is too busy making hell for her father to even think about dating someone anyways, even if she considered it.
Mandi on the other hand, also fresh out of a long term relationship with ex-boyfriend, Colt Donahue, is just looking to spend some quality time with old friend Nathaniel Peterson. I’m sure they have a lot of catching up to do, but it doesn’t look as if Mandi is all that torn up about her recent break up. Maybe Manhattan has just the guy she’s looking for?
Looks like this summer is really heating up after all.
