‘ Shane Madden from All Time Low is joining us in the studio today when we get back to answer some questions. But to make the interview a little more fun..we’ve asked one of his close friends to join in with us. They’re the most unlikely of friends in the music industry, but that hasn’t stopped them from being family. More from that when we get back,”. Blake smiled as she watched Shane and wiggled her fingers in a wave. He hadn’t known that she was going to be the one asking the questions. And she sort of had mixed feelings about it.What if there was a question she didn’t want to ask because she knew how he felt about it? Whatever,it was better her than someone else. “ Hey Shaney” she said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before she sat down.
“ And we’re live in five..four…three..two….”. Blake adjusted the microphone in her shirt as she was sitting back. “ Oh wow,” she said quickly, realizing they hadn’t given them much time. “Hey guys. Thanks for tuning in for the start off with the special of some of the Taboo artists. I am lucky enough to sit down with my best friend, and someone I admire in the business, Shane Madden. It looks like it’s going to be a series of questions from not only fans but a few from myself too. Which is good, because there’s been some things I’ve been wondering about,” she said, giving a soft smile to Shane. “ Okay, let’s get started “ Blake brushed her hair from and leaned forward, placing her hand inside the decorated box and took out a piece of paper before opening it. “ Shane, would you ever date a fan? What is the biggest turn off in your opinion?”. Blake laughed excitedly as she sat back, pointing at the camera. “ I know the answer to that one,”

Shane sat down across from Blake, grinning, "Oh this should be soo good." He leaned back in his chair, wiping his hands on his pants as Blake started off the interview, as the cameras had already started rolling. Shane listened to her question and then laughed out loud, throwing his had back, "What a great first question, of course..." Of course someone would ask that. "Uhh... I feel like I'm damned no matter what I say here, haha. Well, I'm not gonna say I wouldn't, but that doesn't mean that every fan out there has a chance with me, 'cause you don't," he laughed, "That sounds horrible. But true, I just want to get anyone's hopes up! It's a possibility I guess. But being a fan is really just a coincidence probably, if I dated someone it's because I like her, not because she's a fan of mine. Ummm... biggest turn off... ugh. Fake girls. You know what I mean by this. That stereotypical fake chick, I don't want any of that, just be real. And divas, can't have any of those lurking around," he said, glancing at Blake obviously. Shane reached into the box and unfolded a paper, smiling, "Alright Parker, oh really? Why would they care to ask thi- ugh okay. What was your first impression of Logan and was it love at first sight? If they're all like this I'm gonna start skipping them."

“ Divas are so gross,” she said, crossing her legs as she sat back and folded her arms. She laughed, gesturing to Shane with her thumb as she looked off set towards one of the producers. “ He can’t really answer that because if he says he would date a fan he’s going to get swarmed outside of his tour bus. And he’s already so little,” She coughed, readjusting the pillow under her arm. “MTV is going to get sued for endangering his health,” she said as she licked her lips and looked back over at Shane. “ Right, the only thing Shane likes fake about girls is their boobs. He loves em” She laughed as she looked at Shane. “ Two million plastic surgeons… just got called by ATL fans” she laughed as he picked out his question and read it to himself before reading it aloud.
“ Logan Renner? That guy is such a tool,” she said seriously as she shook her head. “No, um.. Wow. Do you guys not buy my cd’s and just listen to the songs? You would know exactly how I felt about Logan. That last album really should’ve been called “And Then I Met Logan Renner,” she said, smiling at Shane. “I thought he was a complete…and pardon my language, I pre-apologize to the sensors. I thought he was such a dick. I mean… he’s a pretty damn big deal now, but when I met him it was like.. okay this is going to sound really diva-ish. But this boy band kid is in my studio. Shane. He was in my studio. Whatever.. Anyways.. The label we were at they weren’t really respecting him the way they should have. And.. I kind of like.. god, he was so annoying. But he was talented, and I didn’t think it was fair so I wanted to follow him. No, definitely not love at first sight. Um.. but I’m glad it wasn’t. How boring would that have been? I was dating this guy for a while, while Logan and I were friends and it just really worked out because Logan stepped up. I mean, Taylor is in a serious relationship now with is long term partner Steve. Which is great. Because gay marriage is legal now in New York. So I’m really happy for him. Um.. no. Not love at first sight. First impression was he was a douchebag. But. Now I love him. I mean, mainly for his money. He pays me to say that I love him.”. Blake popped her fingers mindlessly as she leaned forward and took out another slip of paper and skimmed it quickly before sitting back. “ What do you miss most about music from before you got famous, and what do you miss the least?” Blake made a confused face. ” Whoever wrote that is confusing.. here.. I’ll rephrase it. What opportunities has fame given you, and what setbacks does being famous have for you?”

Shane smiled, laughing softly and looked right at the camera, "Ha, she's kidding ladies, keep our tits real, seriously." Shane sat back while Blake answered her question about Logan. Shane remembered all that. Them meeting and Logan telling him about it. And then they just became inseparable. "That's so funny, I remember that. I called Logan just chat and whatever, 'cause we've been friends since like kindergarten, but then I moved to Maryland like, right before ninth grade, but anyways, I called Logan. Logan hadn't even started the label yet. So weird to think it hasn't even been a year. But yeah I called him and he was just like, 'Yo, dude, I met that country bumpkin pop star Blake Parker today that went to our school. Such a bitch seriously.' And I was like, that's so typical. Pop stars being such divas. Then by the time Logan was getting the label started and I moved back to Cali and he was signing us, you guys were inseparable and now you're married. Don't you ever wonder what it wold have been like if you could go back and tell your past self like, hey your gonna marry that guy, what would you have said to yourself?" Shane shook his head, seeing Claire out of the corner of his eye, grinning at her. He wondered if viewers would wonder who ha had just smiled at. Let them wonder. "Ummm. Perks would be, better parties, better everything at parties, ahem... when you're famous people let your age slide quite a bit, haha. Disadvantages... Girls trying to tackle me down and kidnap me. I don't know, I think maybe they are under the impression that I'll be like their sex slave? People forget I'm just a normal guy. I like parties, friends, video games, causing trouble... you know, the usual. Oh wait, that's right, you wouldn't know. Country bumpkin here," he teased. "Okay , next question, what's the shortest time it's taken you to write a song, which song was it, what was it about?"

Blake laughed as Shane talked about what Logan’s first impression had been. “ Logan just thought I was a bitch because I was the first girl that didn’t get straight on my back for him,” she gasped and covered her hand over her mouth as she looked at the cameras. Sitting down with Shane was so easy that she had forgotten they were being filmed. “….. We should remind people to not let kids watch this without parental permission. But come on. Interviewing All Time Low. Should’ve figured that out” She looked down at her pregnant belly and then back at Shane. “ I mean obviously things changed..” she said, rolling her eyes about Logan. “ If someone had told me I would marry Logan…” she said, biting the inside of her cheek as she thought back. “ I think that.. no I seriously love that man more than life itself. And I’m a firm believer that people can always surprise you. Look at you and I,.. on surface, we really shouldn’t be as close as we are. But you are one of the most important people in my life. We joke about our ‘family’, but you legitimately are family to me. I mean, godfather to my daughter…. That’s huge. So I don’t think that someone telling me that I would marry Logan would really shock me.I’ve always been open when it comes to love and new experiences. Sometimes you get your heart broken, sometimes you get surprised. Logan’s been the biggest surprise in my life, and I couldn’t be more grateful that our first impressions of each other were wrong. He is compassionate,smart,funny.. sweet… I mean he’s what love songs are made of. He’s what I was writing about well before I even knew him. My entire life I’d been waiting for him and I had no idea,” she said, smiling as she looked down at her hands. ” And I probably just got like ten grand deposited into my checking account for saying that,”
Blake took a drink from her glass of water and set it back down on the table before she readjusted the way she was sitting, casting a look at the producer again. ” These chairs are made for skinny scene All Time Low rockers not for pregnant women” she said, slightly frustrated before she sat back and sighed. “ Country bumpkin?” she rolled her eyes and looked at the camera. “ I know exactly how Shane spends his time, and what he does at home.I’m the one that cleans up after him,” She watched as he smiled off at Claire and shook her head. “Put the camera on the blonde over there” she said pointing at Claire. “ That is Shane’s new friend, Claire. Say hi, Claire.”she said, smiling as she nudged Shane since they were off the camera now. “ Shane just invites these new people he meets over for Sunday dinners. He like.. makes me cook for all of these people, and then he beats me and puts me back in my cage,” she said, yawning before she sat back. “ Oh!” she sat up excitedly. “ The song I wrote in the quickest amount of time.I was going to play it for you yesterday but we got sidetracked with everything, but um I wrote a song for the baby. It’s called ‘Never Grow Up’. I’ll have to play it for you later today or something. And the rest of you can wait for it to be released. But I wrote it the quickest..played it for Logan. I wrote it in a half hour. But that’s .. I mean that’s not normal. That’s really fast. But aside from that… the song I wrote in the quickest time..” Blake snapped her fingers again really quickly, “ Oh oh oh. I wrote that one song as a joke. But Logan actually had me record it for some movie. Do you remember when you were on my tour bus with me? That stretch from Chicago to D.C.?” she asked, scratching the side of her arm as she sat back. “ Shane and I were indulging in adult behaviors. Not like sexual,” she said, quickly correcting herself. “ Anyways, I was pretending I was in love with him because of said adult behaviors and I wrote a song called Today Was A Fairytale,” she said, licking her lips as she thought back.” That took like what… an hour and a half? Logan had me record it.. you need to listen to it,” she said, shaking her hair out as she sat back.” Okay, your turn,” .Blake leaned forward and unfolded another piece of paper. “ Create your own,” Blake clicked her tongue to herself a few times as she looked at Shane and smiled. “Do you actually like my cooking? When you come over for Sunday dinners… or do you pretend to eat and then go eat fast food? Or like.. what would you name my kid,..if you could,” she looked off at Claire and shook her head. “It’s gonna be like.. Optimus Prime. Don’t let him knock you up”

He looked at Claire too, laughing, "Yes Claire, please say hi for the viewers. She's not my girlfriend, I just want to clarify that before anyone gets any ideas." That right there was going to have blogs dedicated to his 'new' girlfriend Claire. Shane nodded, "Yeah, that was a good time. I remember a lot from that trip, I'll refrain from repeating it, haha. But yeah isn't it nice when a song just comes to you like that? I wrote a song like that once, like super fast. Like you already know what you want to say, your head writes the song for you and you just have to put it on paper. Totally get that. Took me about an hour on this one song." Shane shook his hair out a bit, stretching out his legs. "Okay first of all, I love your food and I'm not making it up. I'd eat your food everyday if I could. Who am I kidding, I basically do. I still stand by the idea that if music doesn't work out, you should go be a chef. AND," he said leaning forward, "If I got the chance to name my god daughter I would name her... Zelda.Because we both know damn well she's going to be treated like a princess and Zelda is a way cooler princess then Peach, just saying. And Zelda has like, those pointy ears that remind me of an elf, and elves make me think of little kids, and that whole game makes being a kid look really fun, until you have to leave the little sprite forest with the bad ass tree houses. So yeah, I'd name your kid after a video game. And her middle name can be Dolly, I suspect she'd going to come out with a massive had of hair. Just sayin'. " He laughed, Claire was probably going to keep him at a yards length away to keep from getting knocked up and have him naming babies after video games. He drew out another paper, a create your own, "Okay Parker, I got a question for you. Let's go back to when we met, I was like, this skinny lanky tatted up rocker dude living with my three band mates. We partied too much, our house was always trashed, broken shit everywhere, half naked girls passed out in every room, the fridge had basically only beer, not to mention other stuff in the house I won't continue to mention. I think we were from like, opposite worlds. What did you think of me? 'Cause honestly until you walked in and cleaned my house one day I thought you were a country goody two shoes that wouldn't get within five feet of the stripper pole in my living room."

" Yes..ladies.. Shane Madden is a single man. Well, and gentleman. He's open," she said, smiling against her cup before she took a drink. “ Which song was that? The one you played yesterday?” she asked, playing with the ring on her hand as she watched him. She couldn’t help but laugh at what he would name her kid and rolled her eyes. ”Leave it to you,.. But that’s actually a really pretty name. If I had to name my kid after a video game I would choose that.” she said as she nodded and began to bounce her knee that was crossed over her leg. ” Yeah she’s like six. That’s not his girlfriend,” she said, referring to Claire before she brought her hands to her hair and started to braid it distractedly. She smiled as she thought back to when they had first met. “ You were… everything I thought you would be when I met you. I mean the only roommate of yours that I really got to know was Ryan though. And let’s face it, I stuck around because of the other Rian,” she said, laughing quietly. “ Um.. I don’t know. Like I said I don’t let a lot of surface characteristics define people for me. It was definitely a .. shock. I guess. I mean you would never find half naked girls laying around on my couch. Unless Mack just got home from dance practice,” she said while trying to think back. “ I think..and don’t take this the wrong way, but I think when I met you I was under the impression that you were still growing. You had a lot of growing up to do. And in the last year alone? Jesus.. You’ve grown up so much,” she smiled as she looked at him. “ I mean you still like to have a good time. But I think when it comes to women you’ve grown up. A lot. That whole life was so new to you though, why wouldn’t you explore it? But I think now you kind of.. know what you want. What you’re comfortable with. And I’m just glad that you still let me clean your place. Because you live alone now, and you would still have your place be just as messy as if the three of you were living there and just throwing everything around. And now you don’t have a yard. So that’s good. And I make sure your fridge is stocked. Even though you’ve been hiding fruit in the freezer. And you’re still a skinny, lanky tatted up kid,”.
Blake yawned as she looked back at him, “ I brought snacks for you by the way,” she said quietly, knowing that they would cut some of the interview out. And that some of it would be used as teasers for the interview. Blake leaned forward and took out another piece of paper and unfolded it. She read off the question quickly before she looked back up at him, “ Describe your perfect girl, is there anyone in your life right now?” Blake crumbled up the paper and tossed it to the side. “ I thought my fans were obsessed with my love life,”’ she said sarcastically before she looked at Shane. “ I think that a lot of people expect you to always have someone in your life because of your lifestyle. But I don’t think that the type of woman people expect you to fall in love with, is going to be who you actually fall in love with. There's so many sides to you that people don't see.”

"Oh god, don't encourage them... that's just what I need, more girls asking to marry me. Not that its not flattering though, love you all!" He said shaking his head, "No actually, it was uh, Lullabies. Wrote it when I was like, fifteen. Fastest song I ever wrote, I think just because I already had everything I wanted to say in my head, I didn't have to go searching for lyric ideas. And it was kind of my way of, getting it off my chest, since talking about it... doesn't exactly ... appeal to me. I don't know, I think with songs like that that come out so fast, and are so real and like close to your heart, you get this other purpose to writing them. Obviously I needed it, but if it helps one other person that has to go through that situation, then it's worth putting my thoughts out there for people to see." He cleared his throat, probably the one topic he'd never talk about willingly. "Yeah, see if I had to go with video games, Zelda's my pick. If it were a boy, I'd go with... Bowser. I'd give your son a really like, strong sounding name. Unless he was puny and got picked on at school, then you'd have to name him Sonic, hopefully he learns to run fast, haha. But she's a girl, so no need to worry about that." Shane pondered that thought ans then leaned forward, placing his hand on Blake's knee, "Wait, rewind. You're making me god father?" This was news to Shane, but good news. That was.. such an honor. And he knew he'd take that job seriously, teach that kid everything he knew.
Shane listened to Blake answer his question. She was so right, he had changed so much in the past year. He went from being this... scared eighteen year old with a lot of anger and guilt and fears, to being this almost twenty year old who was doing okay. Shane smiled, leaning over and hugging Blake, "Awww Parker, I love you best friend." He laughed, "We really are the oddest of friends, I think we're setting a precedent, pretty soon you'll see scene kids hanging out with the hicks," he joked. Blake may be from Texas but she was far from being a hick. Shane rolled his eyes, "Oh geez, okay. Perfect girl... I guess for me I need a chill girl. Like girls that are real up tight, I can't do that. And I'm pretty messy, and lazy at times, She would have to be able to put up with that. I don't know, I guess I'm describing personality here more. I mean, look wise, I don't have like, a preference, other then good looking. I'm not gonna say, i like a preppy girl, or a scene girl, or whatever. Like the girls I've dated in the past, nothing alike. So its not really looks or a type of look, but personality wise. I like, smart girls, driven, independent, like not gonna want to be with me every waking moment because I'm on tour a lot. She's gotta be able to take my jokes, and put up with my stupid ideas. I don't know, it's hard to describe a 'perfect' girl. I'll get back to you on that, when I find her I'll tell you what she's like," he laughed. Next question, "Alright, what's the biggest downfall that your fame has caused you, or fame in general? You can't leave the house with out product in your hair and risk getting put in tabloids for looking like a slob. Okay now you answer."

Blake tilted her head as she looked over at Shane. When he mentioned the song Lullabies she gave a small nod. That was a subject she’d never really talked about with him because she knew it was a touchy one. “Right,” she said, nodding in agreement with him about the process of writing a song that was already in your mind, that you just needed to put it on paper. “ I think I drive Logan crazy. Cause I’ll get these ideas for songs like.. in the middle of nowhere. And I don’t want to forget it, so I like write them down on his arm.” she laughed ,placing her hand under her chin as she watched Shane. She couldn’t help but laugh as they talked about her daughter again before she made a confused look and looked back towards the producers before she looked at Shane. “ I don’t think Logan and I have announced that we’re having a girl. Jeez.” she said before she rested her arm against the back of her chair. “ We’re having a girl, everyone. Sorry babe” she smiled before she looked back at Shane, crossing her right knee over her left as she readjusted the way she was sitting to be faced more towards Shane than the camera. She laughed again as he placed his hand on her knee and asked about being god father. Blake placed her hand on top of his and squeezed it quickly. “ Come on, who else would it be?” she said with a questioning expression before she smiled again at him.
‘ Aw!’ she smiled, wrapping her arms around Shane as he leaned over to hug her. “ I reckon’ I love you too’ she teased since he had called her a hick. She bit the side of her lip as Shane talked about the girls he’s dated. “ It’s so true. I mean I like to think that all of the guys I’ve dated are completely different from each other. But they’re not. Lookswise I’ve dated a lot of..”Kens”. I really do like gorgeous men, they’re like this.. kryptonite to me. But I don’t think I’ve ever…seen you like.. date a girl that reminded me of a girl from your past. You always mix it up. That’s good though! But I think the most important thing for you is going to be the need for them to have their own independence. You’re a lot better at balancing work and personal life than I am. It’s a blessing for me that Logan is in the business, otherwise I’d never see him. I mean,.. if I had any other boss I would never have just my own time. Logan makes me take a lot more personal time than I otherwise would.” She licked the corner of her lips as Shane asked his question and rolled her eyes. “ There is this legitimate obsession with my hair. And Joel’s for that matter. If I wanted to give Logan a heart attack I think I would chop off both my hair and Joel’s. Yeah, that’s definitely a “downfall” I guess. I mean.. how often do you guys see me do my hair on Sunday’s? Hardly ever. Logan doesn’t like product in my hair, it’s less work for me, I don’t have to go out. But if I ever have to go outside and there’s someone taking a picture, then it’s like… they think my entire world revolves around my hair. If it’s not done then I must be depressed. It’s ridiculous. But if it were up to Logan, I’d never touch a can of hair product ever again. He likes playing with it too much. Because, and you guys hardly ever see it, but my hair is huge. It’s huge. The product is just to tame it. I’m just glad it’s not frizzy. It’s huge in a good way I guess.” Blake puffed out her cheeks and thought quickly , shaking her head. “ But I think the biggest downfall from fame wasn’t even from my own.I mean… it’s taught me a lot. About friends. And family. And I definitely learned the hard way that blood, does not mean family. I am so, so very proud of everything that my biological sister had accomplished during her run. She was pretty successful for a while but I think she just.. I don’t know. She lost focus. And she let a lot of it get to her head, and change who she was. It’s sort of disappointing. She doesn’t even talk to myself or my parents, which is.. she’s an adult, that’s her choice. But she’s playing in bars in Podunk towns that people have never heard of for a reason. I surround myself with people who are successful, but never let it get to their heads. Like you… Shane, I love the fact that you are still so surprised when people know who you are. It’s so naïve and cute. You don’t feel entitled at all. Fame is this double sided thing. It’s vicious and hard, and it can also be the most amazing gift you ever get. It all depends on how you approach it. She let it swallow her whole and I lost her because of it. That being said, it showed me to appreciate the people that are in my life. Mackenzie is my sister. There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not proud of what she does, what she has accomplished, what she managed on her own instead of just following in her parents footsteps. She’s so talented. And gorgeous. Inside and out. That’s my sister. She’s my soulmate. No offense to Logan. I think he knows.” Blake leaned forward to pull out another piece of paper. She smiled as she read it off, “ What Blake Parker song would you do a cover of, and what cover would you like to see her do from All Time Low?”. Blake sat back, tilting her thumb to Shane as she looked at him. “ I did a cover. I did um.. Poppin’ Champagne” she said, with a ‘seriously’ expression on her face. “ Someone requested it. Crossover fans, Shaney”

Shane nodded, "Yeah, you ever get like ideas for songs in the middle of the night, or like, randomly out places? I have this tattered notebook that I have to carry around, it seriously, if anyone ever stole it, they could make so much money on Ebay. It's like, songs from high school. original drafts, where I like crossed stuff out and changed it, songs in there that were never recorded. It's crazy. I'm like, at the end of the notebook now, I don't want to get a new one haha." He laughed, watching Blake, "Oh yeah, whoops, I just announced that for you. And they're naming her Zelda," he joked. Shane looked at eh camera seriously, but laughed. Anyone else would have gotten smacked on the arm for publicly announcing the sex of her child. Shane got away with shit like that. Shane grinned in agreement about Blake's hair, "Yeah and the funny thing is, people don't remember but back in the day, you had like, natural, big curly hair in your music video for um," he snapped his fingers, remembering her first music video, "For Tim McGraw. People don't realize your hair doesn't grow out of your head so tame. But I'm with Logan, I like it normal. When you just let it do what it does." Shane rubbed his hand over his hair, shaking his head, "Mackenzie Bannon. I'll never forget the first time I met her. It's so funny like, how we're all such close friends, a record producer, a country pop star, a rocker, and an heiress turned actress. I always think of us as like, 'the core four'. Like Logan and me have been friends since we were kids, and he told me he was hanging out with you. I was like, just a week ago you said she was horrible! And then he started bringing you around, and then I started seeing this Mackenzie who was your best friend. And it turns out she was my neighbor, so we were like, well Logan and Blake ditched us, wanna hang out? First time we hung out, I was having this party rager at my house, I couldn't believe she showed up, I was like, do you even party or I thought she was like, this prim, proper heiress. I was so wrong, she beat me at beer pong, four times in one night. I'm so glad you introduced us Blake, she was my party buddy for ages. And I almost got her arrested like twice. Good times..." He shook his head, remembering all the times Blake and Logan had shacked up in one of their houses and didn't come out until Blake's album was practically written, so Mack and Shane had started hanging out with each other. SO many times is was like, Shane, Rian, Jack, Zack, Matt, Vinny, basically all the guys associated with the band. And little Mack, giving them all a run for their money. So funny.
Shane thought for a second, "Well, we have covered Lovestory before but I think I'd want to cover like, Better Than Revenge. Put a real rock feel to it. Or Sparks Fly maybe. If you covered and All Time Low song? I don't know, I think like anything off Nothing Personal. Maybe Break Your Little Heart, or Walls maybe, something like that. Or we can go old school, you can cover Coffee Shop Soundtrack," he laughed. "Alright, i gotta pull out another question from this box, here blow on it, " he held it out between them and let them both blow on it, oooohh, before he pulled out another question, unfolding it as if that was a normal thing to do. "Okay, what do you think is the biggest misconception that people have about you? This should be interesting.." he grinned, leaning back in his chair and crossed his arms. He glanced at Claire, thinking she must be bored out of her mind, but winked at her anyways, they'd be done soon enough. Shane hadn't anticipated this interview being so friggin entertaining, more so for him and Blake then anyone else.

Blake laughed as he talked about the ‘core four’. “ Oh my gosh..” she said, shaking her leg as she watched him talk. She looked back at the camera , smiling. “ My best friend in the entire world is this gorgeous barbie looking girl, who can throw down like a frikkin’ rockstar.” she smiled as she looked back at Shane. “ But come on, so many of us are like that. I mean not necessarily the party type but.. soo many of us are different than what peoples perception of us is. Look at Ryan. People are always, always surprised at how smart he is. They think he’s this shy guy, and he’s not. At all. He just is careful about what he says and doesn’t see the point to saying anything useless. I think we’re all so surprising. But.. I mean you’re so different, too. How many times have I cooked with you? How many times have we all sat around a bonfire and just.. belted out some of Logan’s lyrics to lovingly make fun of him? Did you ever see that we were dating for like a month?” she asked, licking her lips again as she looked at him. “ They took pictures of us holding hands or whatever when you were helping me out of a car. What really happened… here you guys are getting the inside scoop. Shane was calling me a diva and was jokingly helping me get out of a car. Some paparazzi took pictures of it and apparently we were dating. Then the four of us would be holed up in this house and before Logan and I were dating we.. seriously.. you could not get us out of the studio. We worked day and night. But we would finally leave the house and I would want to go grocery shopping so I’d take Shane with me. Cause he likes food. And I swear to God,Shane. People ask me to this day, why you and I broke up.And I’ve yet to think of anything really clever. So I’m sorry that Logan and I ditched you guys, but I’m glad we did too. It’s really important that our best friends get along, and now there’s the fantastic four.” Blake picked up a bottle of water and handed it over to Shane. “ Drink something,” she said with an authoritative tone before she sat back. “ So many of us do covers.. I love Break Your Little Heart.I think if I could do any cover right now it would be Weightless. But oh my gosh I would love to see you guys do Better Than Revenge. That was the first song I asked Logan for help with, because I was wanting a more ‘rock’ sound to it. I’m coming to your next show. Better Than Revenge or Sparks Fly better be on your setlist.” Blake looked over at some people behind the camera. “ You guys know the Maine, right? Ryan does so many frikkin’ covers it’s ridiculous. But I swear to god, Shane. He only does Pour Some Sugar On Me, when there is this one girl at his shows. You can see her undressing him with her eyes. You know he does it on purpose. But other than that, we all do covers of Logan’s songs,”.
Blake leaned forward as he told her to blow on the box. “ OOooohh.” she shook her head at him, ” That dumb movie.” she said, smiling as she watched him take out the paper. “Logan calls me a diva. You know you think he would really be more careful with that… the whole” happy wife, happy life” thing but.. whatever, I can never stay mad at him. There are parts of me that are diva-ish. But I think that what a lot of you guys don’t understand is that I am this way for a reason. I think a common misconception for people is that this life, this career, just came easily for me. And it didn’t. I mean I did have a lot of lucky breaks when it came to things like.. the right people being in the audience at the right time. But I played so many fairs. And being a twelve year old girl singing in front of drunk southern people is not easy. They’re mean, cut-throat. I used to spend my summers going to Nashville and running up to record labels and going inside. ‘ Hi I’m Blake Parker. Can I please sing you a song?’. It wasn’t like I was just writing these songs and someone one day was hey let’s sign that girl. God, no. It was..girls picking on me. Adults telling me I wasn’t good enough. Beer bottles being thrown. It’s hard being a little girl and people telling you that you aren’t good enough. I wasn’t this gorgeous girl who wrote songs about love because I had experienced it. I was writing about things I wished for, that I just hoped would be true one day. And somehow…after all of that, I did get this life. And I know that a lot of the things I do are seen as diva-ish. I like things ran a certain way, but it’s because at the end of the day I want to sing directly to that little girl standing in the front row of one of my shows that feels exactly the same way that I did at her age. You buy a ticket to one of my shows and you aren’t paying just to see me stand up there and sing. I put on a god damn performance. It’s huge. There’s fireworks on stage, us replicating high school bands..all for one song, Romeo and Juliet type dresses, rain on stage. And I give absolutely everything I have, and then some. I’m not one of those artists that just wants to fill seats. I feel like if you paid for a ticket, then I need to give you everything I have. You’re my fan because you saw something in me, and I can’t disappoint anyone. Especially not people that support me. Just ask Logan how exhausted I am. I think he carries me to the car about ninety-nine percent of the time afterwards. I want things to be perfect. I want them to be done right. I want to sing to that little girl and let her know that things get better, that her dreams can come true. Stepping into a recording studio isn’t just for me. So I get really protective about it. And Logan calls me a diva. But how lucky am I? Logan Renner knows who I am. He can call me whatever he wants.” Blake made a face as Shane winked at Claire. “What the hell was that?” she asked curiously as she gestured to his face.
Blake reached her hand into the box and unfolded a paper, though a second one came out attached with it. “ I got two,..” she said, as she tilted her head to read each of them. “ When is All Time Low’s next tour, and what will you miss most about not being at home? And a create your own,” Blake sat back as she looked at Shane, but turned her head to the camera quickly to explain. “ The guys in our family are very… affectionate.. with one another. I think the biggest guy on guy couple if Ryan and Riley. If you actually had to pick one of the guys in our family to be in a relationship with, who would you pick and why? . Blake laughed, tilting her head back already as she tried to imagine who Shane was going to pick. She tapped the paper against her knee as she looked back at him. “ I think you should be aware that your gay community of fans will probably go crazy with this answer,”

Shane nodded, "That she does, Mack goes hard core." he joked. "Wait, we dated? I didn't know that, for a whole month? Wow, that's news to me." He laughed, "Oh yeah, I know exactly what girl you're talking about? You think he does it on purpose, to get some ass? 'Cause that I know he does... that's an interesting point you make..." Shane sat, looking at the floor and listening to Blake. She really did have a point, people just thought she woke up one day when she was twelve and was like, I wanna be a pop star. Blake worked so hard, she did until this day. People didn't realize how much effort she really put into her work, hat she really did for her fans. "So long story short, you ARE a diva, but you have good reason to be, because you do it for your fans. From an artists perspective I think we both agree after ourselves and our art, its really all about the fans. Wouldn't be here without them." Shane looked back at Blake who had saw him wink at Claire, who was just chilling out, doing her own thing. Shane held him hands up in question, mouthing 'what?'. At least she was entertaining herself, good to know she could hold her own when he was tied up doing music stuff. Shane answered her first question, "well we're going on tour this fall, leaving midway through September, and then we finish up that tour in like, mid December just before Christmas break time for everyone. The last show of that tour is gonna be here in New York, we're gonna film that show, and we're filming us on tour for a DVD that we're going to be releasing, so. THAT should be very, very interesting. What I miss about being home most? Sunday dinners. Like, having a good home cooked meal, and being with all my closest friends, you guys are my family. Being on tour is like, one of my favorite things on earth, but I definitely miss Sunday dinners." He looked at Blake, raising his eyebrows at her, "that's your question, that's what you wanna know? Oh jeez," he laughed, "Umm... well Ryan and Riley are the front contenders, but they're already taken... I would pick Lance. His British accent just melts my heart," he said in mock seriousness, "I love that twit." Shane looked in his box, only two papers left, "Hang on, you got to ask two questions, so I'm doing that to be fair... cheater..." he mumbled, pulling out a create your own, "Okay, honest answer, would you name your kid after me?" That one would make her think, because she'd want to say know, he just liked watching her word terrible things in nice ways. Like at theme parks, instead of saying if your too fat to get on the ride, you cant ride, they say, "if your body proportions don't allow you to sit safely in ride seat, please refrain from riding." They could have just said, your too fat, get out of here. But they were nice. That's Blake, finding the nicest possible way to say things, even if they were mean. "And the other question is, describe yourself at fifteen. God, that's not even a question, that's an order, demanding assholes. We're real people, not trained, monkeys," he said jokingly to the camera.

“ Yeah I’m really glad that you got through our break up so strongly” she said, making a slight face at the camera as she looked away from him. “ He’s really good at pushing through the pain,”. She played with the charm on her necklace as she gave him a ‘get serious’ look. “ You know that’s exactly why he does it. But I don’t think she really puts up much of a fight in the first place. But Ryan is like one of those special attractions at a theme park where like… “ she thought for a moment before she looked back at the camera. “ Ryan likes tall girls, because he’s really tall. So it’s kind of like a… ‘ you must be taller than this height to get on this ride’ kind of thing”. Blake narrowed her eyes in thought as Shane reworded what she had said. “Right. I am a diva. Actually it’s not even for the fans. It’s because I’m basically just a big ol’ biz. “ She pouted out her bottom lip as he talked about his tour and sighed. ” We miss you on Sunday dinners, too. I don’t have anyone to like.. monitor,.. while I’m trying to cook. It’s saddening” She finished playing with her hair as she sat up. “ I didn’t know you guys were filming it. That should be really cool… I wanna come,” she said as she thought ahead to what she would be doing in December. Oh right. Going into labor.
“ Yeah I would pick Lance, too. That’s the only reason I’m married to Logan.” she said as she nodded at him. “ I almost went on a date with Lance. No seriously. I met him at the airport once, and didn’t know who he was. I didn’t know Logan had a brother, let alone one that was overseas in England. He’s kind of a smooth little guy,” she said as she lifted her hand up to scratch the side of her arm. He called her a cheater and she rolled her eyes at him, shaking her head slightly as she talked under her breath. “ This guy is such a pretentious ass. You guys force us to pretend to like each other too much,”. She looked back at Shane as he asked his first question and laughed. “ Would I name my child after you? Uh..” she narrowed her eyebrows, trying to think of how to work her way around that question. “ Well, that depends on a lot of factors, sir.” She puffed out her cheeks and played with the edge of the pillow. “ Logan and I already have a name picked out for our daughter. First and middle. It’s something that is really special to both of us. But I’ll let him know that you recommended it. I mean, I’m all for it. I think it’s a great idea. But if push comes to shove, and the answer is no… then you should know that it’s Logans’ fault. And that I did everything I could to sort of push this idea along. Because when I hear ‘Shane’ I just think originality. Driven. Artistic. Supportive. Loyal. All great things. I’ll jot it down. “ she said with a serious nod. “Describe myself at fifteen..” she repeated distractedly. “ Uh.. “ she made a confused face. “It was like yesterday. Ah, like your friend.” she said, waving at Claire again. “ At fifteen I had just moved to California. It was a big thing. Exciting. First year that I sold out Madison Square Garden. Tim McGraw had gotten platinum.. which I wrote for my boyfriend at the time. Chad Masters. I also wrote Teardrops On My Guitar about him. But I.. was clearly not successful enough for him. Because he graduated high school and dumped my ass. But he ended up being my sisters brother, and marrying my husbands cousin. Figure that one out. But it’s okay. I loved Chad. I mean, I loved him as much as I could at that age. But at fifteen.. I noticed the boy that would skyrocket my career. And he knocked me up. But.. okay, so I was this really dorky girl who used to practice guitar until my fingers bled. Which made me really popular at school. Because I had these band-aids and people were like “ Oh she’s weird”. And there was this guy who was a sophomore, I was a freshman. I was madly in love with him. And he was dating this girl who was… I mean she was curvy. And tall. And had long blonde hair. I mean she was really unfortunate looking, so you knew he was only dating her to make her feel better about herself,” she said sarcastically. “ But then I officially met him after he graduated, and he had taken over my studio and pissed me off. And I was so disappointed. Because I had been so madly in love with him. He was a pretty B.F.D. to girls in high school. I wrote ‘ You Belong With Me’ about him. While I was dating Chad. But I mean other than that I had a normal childhood. I was doing sound checks, interviews, radio interviews, catching up on homework so that I could fly across the country to do shows, photo shoots…” Blake trailed off for a second before she looked at Shane and whispered. “ I didn’t really have a normal childhood…did I?” she said, scrunching her nose before she sat back, taking the last two papers out of her box. ” Ha..” she said, looking over at him.. “ Okay, two. I think one of them is for me though. But your question is to describe your taste in sex. And then this slip…I think it means I’m supposed to reveal something about you that people don’t know.”
“ First of all, kids. Whatever comes out of his mouth… abstinence is the way to go. Logan and I are married, but we’ve never even dipped our toes into that pool of sin. I actually got pregnant by listening to LoveStruck too many times. And too much All Time Low. But um.. something people don’t know about Shane Madden.” she watched him for a few moments before she sat up. ”Oh.. he is like.. the worlds greatest driver. It’s crazy. He can literally pull off parking anything anywhere. And he has these like James Bond moves in his car, it’s.. I don’t know. But he has like this contained road rage. He is like..grunting.. and tries to contain it. And then he’s mumbling to himself, and you don’t really know what he’s saying. But my favorite is when he has these overly-sarcastic conversations with himself. ‘ Please come into my lane without using your turn signal, I love it so much. Take up the whole damn road while you try to park… Oh that’s a better idea, drive on the sidewalk.’ It’s hilarious. If you ever see him driving down the street, he is probably pissed off. You should just walk everywhere Shane. It’s not like you’re famous. I doubt anyone would follow you,” she laughed as she looked at him. Blake tossed her hands up.” That’s all of my questions,..I don’t care to know anything else about you,”. She laughed before she winked at him and reached out to take his hand.

Shane nodded, “You should come, it’ll be the first time I see you when I get back. Oh holy shit, you’ll be so pregnant by then. That’ll be exciting.” He laughed, “Yeah see? Lance is a charming dude.” After thinking about it, weren’t they all pretty charming? “Pretentious ass… you’re so charming Parker,” he scoffed, smiling all the same. But she said she would jot it down, and keep his name in mind, “Oh alright, that’s good, you just keep it in mind.” He laughed, not in a million years. That kid would get named like, Melody, or frikkin, Chord. Some ridiculous musical type name. Shane laughed listening to her talk about her life at fifteen. It was interesting how she had crushed on Logan way back then, even crushing on him while he was dating Chad. It was sort of funny actually. She went on to ask if she had a normal childhood. “Well, let me tell you about my life at fifteen. I was a horny, pimply, gangly kid with too long of hair and a guitar, trying to start a band with three other gangly, horny, pimply fifteen years olds, and I spent my weekends in Dawson’s basement or at rock shows trying to pretend I was cooler then I actually was. While you were selling out Madison Square Garden. I was confused about sex and drugs, I was awkward, I didn’t understand girls, at all, I was angry and hormonal and I didn’t understand why I couldn’t take my mom’s minivan across the country to ‘tour’. You didn’t have a normal child hood.” Shane laughed, looking at Blake’s facial expression, “Shut up Parker, some people didn’t take off in the music industry as early as you. Yes, my mother had a minivan. She was a soccer mom,” he said proudly, cracking up from Blake laughing. He let her tell something about him, and he just shook his head, “Oh wow, you’ve never seen my full out road rage. It’s because when I’m in the car with you I try to behave, keep the rage contained. I think there are videos on YouTube though, of me yelling in New York traffic, god I hate the traffic here so much…” He thought for a moment, “My taste in sex? What does that even mean…? Who wrote that,” he snatched the paper slip from Blake, reading the paper, “Hannah836, awesome Hannah836, great question. Umm… vigorous. Energetic. Enthusiastic.” He shrugged. What kind of question was that really?
Shane looked over at Blake when she took Shane’s hand, scrunching up his eyebrows, “Hmmm… something you don’t know about Blake… Blake hates spiders. If there’s a spider within like, a football field length of her, she’ll scream bloody murder. It’s really ridiculous actually, hops on the furniture and everything. I’ve killed a lot of innocent spiders because of her. And then she goes, ‘I wasn’t scared, I just don’t like them. Yeah take that you stupid spider.’ I’m like, oh yeah, you’re all brave now that I’ve smashed it’s guts right out of it. And… Blake curses like a sailor. America’s sweetheart, she gives me a run for my money and I use every damn, shit, and fuck there is on a regular basis.” Shane grinned, squeezing her hand and looking at the camera, “Well, the magic box, disappointingly might I add, did not magically fill up with more questions. Hope you enjoyed our little pow wow, shit, I hope you enjoyed listening to us sit and reminisce. That must be boring for other people. Anyways, come see us on tour, don’t piss of Blake, she’ll write a song about you, and do not get in my way while I’m driving, I’ll run you over.” He looked at Blake expectantly, shrugging and then back at the camera, “Yup that’s it,” and gave the camera a thumbs up and they cut. “Nice work guys, every second of that footage is usable.” Shane leaned over to Blake and whispered, grinning, “Of course it’s all usable, that shit just got super personal.”
