"Tanner." Sutton called out. He had been running around the apartment all day. This little boy refused to take a nap today. She heard a little giggle coming from the living room and she smiled and headed in there. She aw a little foot sticking out from under a blanket on the couch.
"Hm, I wonder where he could be." Sutton played along and slowly moved around the living room.
"Are you under here?" she asked aloud as she looked under the table,
"Nope." she said as she stood up. Tanner giggled and threw the blanket off of himself,
"I'm right here." he laughed and sat up
."There you are, I thought I'd lost you." Sutton walked over to the couch and picked the 2 year old up.
"You're getting heavy, but I don't care." she kissed his cheek and headed into the kitchen. She sat him down on the pulled out chair at the table and grabbed his shoes and jacket.
"Where we going?" he asked as she bent down to put his shoes on.After getting one shoe on, Sutton looked up to Tanner,
"I'm taking you to the park." "Yay." Tanner said with a smile. Sutton smiled,
"I knew that would make you happy." she tied the other shoe and Tanner hoped down, pulling his sweatshirt off of the table and put it on. Sutton handed Tanner his hat and he put that on too.
"You're such a big boy." Tanner smiled and headed to the door.
"Wait for Mommy." she said as she slipped her boots on and then grabbed her jacket off of the hook. "Tanner tapped his foot and Sutton just laughed.
"Go get something to play with." Tanner ran through the kitchen and into his room. Sutton grabbed her house keys, cellphone and wallet. Just then a soccer ball came rolling into the kitchen and Tanner was running behind it. Sutton stopped it with her foot so he could pick it up,
"I was almost positive you were going to grab your football." Tanner shook his head and walked to the door.
"Okay, I'm coming." Sutton took Tanner's hand, opened the door and then closed it behind them and locked it. She looked down at Tanner as they began to walk down the stairs,
"Do you want to walk or shall I drive?" "Um, can you drive?" Sutton nodded and then opened the door. She walked over to the car, unlocked it, opened the back door and placed Tanner in his seat. She buckled him in and then handed him his soccer ball. Sutton got it and started the car.
"Are you cold." Tanner shook his head,
"No." "Well Mommy is." she laughed and Tanner smiled. Sutton put the heat on low and then pulled away and drove towards the park.
Sutton looked in the rear view mirror and saw the tiredness in Tanner's eyes,
"Don't fall asleep now." Tanner sleepily smiled. Sutton got out and got Tanner out with his ball. Sutton closed the door, locked the car and took Tanner's hand. They walked down the path, Tanner saying hi to every person that passed. They got to a nice open area and Sutton let go of Tanner's hand and he took off running. He stopped, dropped the ball and tried to kick it to Sutton. Sutton smiled, jogged to the ball and kicked it lightly back to him.
