Stefan walked into the pub and took a seat at one of the tall tables towards the middle. He took his jacket off and placed on the back of his chair and pulled it out. He sat down as one of the waitresses came over. “What can I get you?” Stefan smiled, “I’ll take a coke and some popcorn for now. Thank you.” he closed his hands together and looked down at them. He had so much going on in his head right now. Hillary wanted them to live together, get a house or apartment together and he had got an engagement ring for her. They weren’t even together for a year yet, but he felt like it was time. He didn’t feel rushed. He loved this girl and he couldn’t see himself being with anyone else. She changed him into the man he was and the man he use to be was gone. The man he use to be was also the man that Ethan and Anthony use to be. They all grew out of it. Anthony still had his tendencies, but he wasn’t as bad as before. Unlike Ethan though, Stefan was still with the girl that changed him, he saw himself being with this girl for the rest of his life. It was none of his business about Ethan and his relationships and what he did with his life, he didn’t compare himself to or criticize Ethan about it, that was his brother, so to say. He could never look at another girl the way he looked and still looks at Hillary.
The waitress came back with his drink and the popcorn. He nodded to her and took a few pieces of popcorn and ate them. He looked up to see Ethan coming through the door. He stood up so Ethan would see where he was. When Ethan was at the table he reached out and shook his hand, “Good to see you bro.” He sat back down and looked over at Ethan, “How ya been? Feels like forever since we’ve actually…talked.” he laughed a bit and then ate some more popcorn.

Ethan went down the steps out onto the street from his apartment quickly and stood for just a quick second, taking in the sight of New York. He sure as hell missed these streets while he was away, and since Stefan didn’t want to meet for another half hour, he figured he’d walk down to the bar instead of hailing a cab. The weather was chilly, cold enough to need a coat but not cold where you couldn’t enjoy the outdoors. He kept his head down, not wanting to necessarily run into anyone who might recognize him from the movie. Or worse, for being known for the douchebag who wasn’t dating Natalia anymore. He kept his hands in his front pockets, letting the music of Delta Spirit blast through his earphones. He turned his neck from side to side quickly, letting it pop before he got back into the familiar strut of walking down the streets of New York, mindlessly weaving in and out of people without realizing it. It didn’t take long for him to get to the bar and he stepped inside, shaking his hand over his hair as though he was shaking off the cold and nodded his head in response to seeing Stefan stand up to point out where he was.
Ethan laughed as he shook Stefan’s hand. “ What is this?” he asked, reaching over and wrapping his arm around Stefan and gave him a pat on the back as he hugged him. That guy was his best friend, he wasn’t going to shake his hand like they were acquaintances. It hadn’t been that long. “ Yeah, it’s great to see you , too” he said honestly as he took his jacket off and threw it across the empty seat to his side before he pulled his own chair out and sat down. He looked up as the waitress came over and gave a genuine smile before he looked down at his watch to check the time. Late enough to have a drink. “ I’m just gonna have a morgan coke,” he said, pretending he was moving to get his wallet o pull out his i.d. It had never been an issue for them to get carded before, they usually were able to maneuver their ways out of it, or no one even bothered too. But Ethan slowed in his actions as he looked up at the waitress skeptically and grinned slowly, “ Are you new here?... Surely I would’ve noticed you before,” he said, shaking his head to the side a bit, doing his best to flatter her into forgetting his i.d. He smiled as she looked away and then put his hands up, “ Look, I won’t take up all of your time, I’m sure you’ve got every guy in here waiting in line for just a few minutes of your time, don’t feel the need to stand here by me,”[/be] he said, sitting back in his chair and then turned to Stefan and gave a successful grin as the girl pushed her hair away and walked away with a bright smile across her lips. “ Yeah, no shit. It’s been a while… last time I sat down and had a drink with you, I was with Natalia and Claire wasn’t knocked up,” he said, giving a small chuckle as he rested his arm back against the back of the chair. “ So what’s going on man?” he asked, looking up at Stefan as he wondered what had gone on in Stefan’s world while Ethan had been pretty unattainable for a while.
