Dani narrowed her eyes at Jake, who had just said something to provoke a fight in her trailer but was distracted by the knock at the trailer door. Instead of coming back with a retort she pointed her finger at him to come off as threatening and opened her door to see Collin standing there. ‘ All set?’ he asked before Dani nodded, “ Yeah, sure” she said, looking back over at Jake. “ Coming?” she asked before she stepped down out of the trailer and made her way over to the different sound stages he had put up, not to mention he had said something about wanting to go outdoors for a lot of it. She looked over her shoulder where she could see Felicia and Dex talking in their own little world, Claire was running up and Gabe was catching her in the air like something out of Dirty Dancing, and Zoe was texting on her phone like her life depended on it. She smiled faintly at her small group of friends , only people missing today were Ryan and Joel. She was sure Shane was hanging around here somewhere if Claire was, wanting to make sure she didn’t get hurt since she was flying in the air for some stuff today. It was sort of adorable how worried he got since no one really expected it from him. She walked up to the table that Collin was standing at, clicking her heel as she took the bottle of water that Collin offered to her.
After she took a drink and was lowering the bottle, tightening the cap, she gave a small smile. “ You struck out with Natalia,” she said, shaking her head at him even though he was smiling. ‘ Pretty much’ he said with an indifferent shrug. Dani nodded slowly as she placed her hands in her back pockets. “ Look, I don’t agree with what other people had to say about Ethan after the fall out. But Natalia was hurt by it. You can’t expect her to be all giddy jumping up and down with joy because you asked her out on a date,” she said, lifting her eyebrow at him. ‘ No one said it had to be a date, Dani. It could’ve been like you going out with….. “ he said, looking around the room for a guy Dani hadn’t dated, ‘ Gabe,…or Dex…Shane…’. Dani nodded before she crossed her arms. “ Okay, it could have been. But understand.. she’s got a lot going on in her head right now. She’s not just every other girl you talk to. She’s one that got hurt…recently. So treat her like she’s cashmere and proceed with caution,” she said, keeping her eyes on him. ‘ Trust me, Dani. If there’s any proceeding, it’s going to have to come from her end. I like to be a good guy, like to treat a girl right, like to end each day knowing I did my best. That doesn’t mean putting yourself out there more than once to look like an idiot all over again. But.. how about for today.. we work on your music video?” he said, looking up at her friends that were going to be in her video for her. Dani smiled and gave a small nod. “ Perfect, can’t wait…” she said. ‘ I think we should head outside first.. the weather’s nice right now. You think they can dance? The rest is everyone goofing off, but it seems like you all have good chemistry. Oh.. by the way, Joel felt bad he wouldn’t be here because of tour. So he filmed his cameo before he left.. sort of a surprise for you. You guys pack up and meet me at the outdoor location for the field, alright?” he said, stepping away from the table. Dani turned on her heel, yelling over to Gabe and Claire. “ Yo,..twinkle toes… your turn” she said, offering them a quick smile before she went over and stole Felicia from Dex, looping her arm around the inside of hers as she made her way over to Jake’s car. “ You’re riding with us..sorry Dex!” she yelled over her shoulder. Once they were away a bit she pushed her hair behind her. “ Alright, spill. WHAT is going on with you two?” she asked before she cast a bright smile in Felicia’s direction.
