About Us:
Taboo Records was established in November of 2010 when award winning recording artist and song writer Logan Renner changed paths from that of artist to producer. Record executive Renner, who had been signed with his previous major label since the age of sixteen, graduated from high school with the experience, resources, publicity and personal drive needed to launch his own major music producing label. Renner immediately signed his first artist, close friend Blake Parker, and the dynamic duo shot Taboo straight on to the map with Parker's epic lyrics and music hooks and Renner's own magic touch, surpassing underground and jumping directly to main stream as a critically acclaimed label that would soon become known as what it is today, the music industry's 'music factory powerhouse'. Since then, Taboo Records has signed many big name artists, including world touring bands and Disney famed individuals, and the label continues to put out some of the best music in the country.
TabooRecords.com is currently under construction! But don't worry, the site will up and running soon enough, so you can access all the info on your favorite Taboo artists! See you soon!
TABOO ARTISTS
About Blake:
Taking the stage has been a dream ever since Blake first started singing at the age of two. After a family friend taught her how to play guitar she focused on writing her own music. The first songs dealt with polka dot bows and playing during recess and have evolved into being true to who you are and the consequences of finding and losing love. Now she might sell out arenas to eager audiences, but it all started by her being twelve years old and playing at state fairs, and going door to door in Nashville just trying to get someone to notice her. Eventually she left Sachse, Texas and made her way to the warm west coast of California. After the success of her first singles ‘ Tim McGraw’, ‘ Teardrops On My Guitar’, and many others, Blake left the label at which she was currently signed with fellow artist Logan Renner. Upon signing with Taboo Records she was able to bring out the best not only in her musical life, but in her personal life as well. Within the first year of signing with Taboo Blake Parker had moved to New York, headlined a sold out tour, won Entertainer of the Year, album of the year, best tour of the year and most importantly married the love of her life, Logan Renner. With the birth of their daughter and therefore newborn inspiration there is bound to be new music coming right around the corner. Musical inspirations for her have included everyone from Faith Hill, the Dixie Chicks and most surprisingly in two of her best friends ; Ryan O’Neil and Shane Madden- whom she has done many interviews with and often does covers of All Time Low’s songs at her shows.
About All Time Low:
All Time Low was formed in the fall of 2006 when front man Shane Madden moved with his family from Malibu to Baltimore, MD. When Shane met his new classmates, he found a new friend in guitarist Jack Barakat and, having been kicked out of his previous band, Shane suggested they begin working on a band of their own. Jack recruited classmate Rian Dawson on drums and the three began covering music from their favorite bands such as Blink 182. The final piece of the puzzle joined the band when Zack Merrick, on bass, showed up to band practice doing kick flips on his skateboard and the group was completed. Upon graduation in 2010 the band immediately began touring the country and Canada on a small indie label, with nothing but a 15 passenger band. Shane convinced his band to move back with him to Malibu upon hearing his childhood best friend, Logan Renner, had formed his own music label. They were signed and immediately continued to make records. Now All Time Low tours the world, made successful by their own intensive touring, (i.e. all the damn time,) and have managed to become one of the biggest underground phenomena’s in pop punk, their fan base rivaling someone of the biggest main stream groups, though All Time Low managed it with little to no radio airtime. They have three full length album’s and are currently gearing up to release their fourth studio album. All Time Low’s influences include Blink 182, Greenday, the Clash, Def Leppard and even Ella Fitzgerald. The band have a blast on tour partying and spending time naked, all while never running out of peanut butter. In their spare time they like to play parking lot football, go boating, and other activities that may or may not be illegal.

About LIGHTS:
LIGHTS ,aka Kat(y) Sutton, is the self-proclaimed ‘laziest successful person at Taboo Records’. Getting her into the studio often requires hours of effort on the part of Logan Renner. Thankfully, their friendship starts before the beginning of the label and has yet to be tested. Moving here during her junior year of high school she found an instant friend in Logan Renner in the halls of Malibu High. LIGHTS is originally from Chicago and does her best to bring in a different kind of sound – it’s hard to call it a fresh of breath air considering most of it is filled with smoke. Her musical instrument of choice is the keytar which she enthusiastically hands out at each of her shows. During the start and rise of her fame, LIGHTS might have been known more for her dating life than her musical talent. After dating musical legends such as Tyson Ritter, Shane Madden, ( and we aren’t sure if she is joking or not, Joel Foster ), it seems that her heart has finally been tamed by a behind the scenes man in Taboo Records very own Matt Flyzik, and just in time, too because rumor has it that her newest LP is inspired by the mickey mouse obsessed Flyzik himself. Some of her favorite things include : keytars, cheetohs, mountain dew, xbox, tour managers, flannel, tattoos, kittens, popsicles and batman.
About Joel Foster:
Fresh off the streets from Cape Town, South Africa is Taboo Records very own golden boy Joel Foster. Modeling after Logan Renner’s career himself, Joel has adopted an attitude that gears towards ‘ fan and careers first, rest second’. Often referred to in the studio as the ‘dynamic duo’ it’s rare to see Logan without Joel at his hip, and vice versa. That’s not the only bromance to fill the studio halls. It’s no secret that Joel Foster has found not only a best friend, but a brother as well in The Maine’s Ryan O’Neil. There couldn’t be a more odd pairing in friends, and we can’t help but be a tad bit obsessed with it. First hitting the scenes, fans were immediately immersed with not only the lyrics and music put on the stage by Joel Foster, but by his dating life as well. But thankfully to the hopes of thousands of his fans, Joel Foster is very much single, and apparently around the studio is very flirtatious. Relax ladies, he’s a perfect gentleman. He will be headlining a tour starting in January that should extend all the way through April and has expressed a great interest in meeting as many fans as possible. On the rare occasion that he isn’t working at the studio, Joel can be seen hitting up basketball courts with best friends Lance Renner and Jake Russo, or taking out his two favorite angels Madeline Foster and Rosie Madison. His resume is packed full being able to play the piano, guitar and drums as well as stepping into the shoes of Logan Renner as a phenomenal dancer.
UPDATE: Joel Foster’s tour has been momentarily postponed More updates to continue.
