Bailey narrowed her eyes from behind her sunglasses, staring up at Gabe’s apartment building as she tapped her thumb against the steering wheel. She needed him. And not in a way that she used to have him. She had an opportunity to do this amazing, amazing film. And she needed Gabe to dance with her. She couldn’t do this without him, and the fact of the matter was she didn’t want to do this without him. Okay so their “ relationship” crashed and burned.. but when they danced together it was.. a dream. “ Now or never..” she said to herself, getting out of the car as a final push to go ahead and ask him what she needed to. Bailey placed her hands in the back pockets of her jeans, letting her hair fall over her eyes as she headed across the street and made her way into the building. She opted for the stairs instead of taking the elevator, jumping up by two or three at a time until she got to Gabe’s floor. Bailey took her sunglasses off, letting them hang from her tank top before she walked up to Gabe’s door and knocked on it loudly. She bit onto the edge of her lip before she stretched out her arms, placing both of her hands on opposite sides of the door frame. But when the door opened she was slightly surprised to see that Zoe was the one answering the door. She smiled slowly as Zoe looked her over, probably wondering why in the hell she was there. “ Well hi sugar..” she said slowly, taking just a moment to process what all of this meant. Had she been a little more invested in Gabe, there was a chance that they might be together still. But clearly she wasn’t hanging around for a reason and ..well.. clearly he found himself another little girls heart to put in his back pocket. She lifted her eyebrow as she looked at her, speaking in a faux whisper, “ Is your daddy home?” she questioned, finally dropping one of her arms from the door frame so that she was only holding one hand up. She smiled at Zoe again before Gabe’s newest little girlfriend turned away from the door and went to go get him. Outfit

Gabe heard the knock on the door, going to get up and get it, but Zoe offered so he let her go. It wasn't long before he heard her familiar voice, the one that had, at one point, been a source of excitement and annoyment all at the same time. How one girl managed to annoy him, he wasn't sure. He dealt with other people pretty well, he didn't usually find people to be irritating. But Bailey pushed his buttons sometimes. He'd always liked that she was a free spirit but when she got too reckless it was too much for Gabe. Maybe she'd find a guy that could handle all her crazy, but Gabe was sure he was not that guy. Sure they'd had a good run. She was fun and wild, cool to hang with. But she'd drove him up the wall one too many times. Not that he despised her for it at all. He didn't, no hard feelings at all. In fact he might still say he even considered her some sort of friend, just one that he knew from his own experience that she'd stay a friend. He didn't think Bailey would change, she'd always be a free spirit. And even since they'd ended whatever it was they were, she still managed to cause him problems, which was why when Zoe returned looking annoyed as hell, he wasn't surprised in the least. He sighed, leaning over to kiss Zoe's cheek and then headed over to see why Bailey was gracing them with her presence.
Gabe went to the already opened door, raising his eyebrows when he saw her standing with one hand resting on the door frame, "What are you doing here?" he asked, confused. He hadn't actually seen her in a while. Honestly, he had absolutely no idea what her purpose was. Being there. He never really knew with her, what she was after. After a moment, he stepped aside so she could come inside before he shut the door behind her. He wasn't going to make her stand in the hall.

Bailey tapped her fingers against the doorframe as she waited for Zoe to go and get Gabe. Well, that was bound to happen eventually. What with Zoe always looking at Gabe with those ridiculously oversized puppy dog eyes. And Gabe.. he always seemed to sort of have a wandering eye for Zoe as well. Bailey smiled as Gabe stood in front of her and tilted her head towards inside his apartment to gesture towards Zoe’s presence. “ That’s cute,” she said simply before she dropped her hand, ignoring his question about why she was there and instead walked inside when he allowed her in. Bailey ran her hand through her hair, going straight into the living room where she found Zoe lounging with her legs over the back of the couch. Apparently she had interrupted some sort of cuddling time. “ Good lord almighty Gabe your chest sure has filled out… have you been working out?” she asked, reaching her hand up to squeeze Gabe’s arm before she sat down on the couch opposite the one Zoe was on and crossed her legs.
“ Here’s the thing, sugar” she said, taking in a deep breath as she looked back over at Gabe. “I have an opportunity to do something really great, but here’s the deal. I only want to do it if you’ll do it with me,” she said. Bailey licked her lips quickly, knowing this was more of an interesting opportunity to her than it probably would be to Gabe. She needed him for this, it wasn’t the other way around. “ So they’re doing a remake of Footloose. The reason I’m telling you this is because I got cast as Ariel and I’ve been doing a few on-screen chemistry things and well.. no bites. But um.. there is one dancer in particular that there’s no denying I have…” she paused, drawing it out as she smiled at Zoe, “ Exquisite physical chemistry with. “ she bounced her leg, wiggling her foot a bit as she looked back at Gabe and whispered. “ That’s where you come in,”. Bailey rested her arm against the back of the couch and looked around, wondering where in the hell his roommate was. Maybe that was why him and Zoe were taking advantage of being alone. Oh well.

As he followed Bailey to the living room, he shot Zoe an apologetic look. He knew she wasn't very thrilled about Bailey showing up but he did know Bailey, knew that the sooner he let her just make her point the sooner she would agree that she'd accomplished whatever she was there to accomplish and be on her way. She shook his head slightly, giving the smallest of smiles when she asked him if he'd been working out, but decided to just take the compliment and move on, "Thanks, I have been actually." Bailey had sat on the other couch across from Zoe and Gabe took the couch that Zoe was lounging on, sitting down beside her and draped his arm over the back of the couch, watching Bailey expectantly. She started off by talking about this great opportunity and only doing it if Gabe would do it and he honestly had no idea what she was about to tell him. But as she got to explaining about the movie he shook his head, gathering this thoughts, "Hang on a second, they are doing a remake of Footloose? And you got cast as Ariel?" He raised his eyebrows. The fact that they were doing a remake in itself was a huge deal, and since it was such a dance phenomenon back when it came out originally, he could see why Bailey had pursued it and, obviously, booked the role. That was a big deal for a dancer, what a big role. Gabe had seen the original plenty of times, at one point in his younger years only dreamed he could dance as good as the original cast.
Gabe took a deep breath, "Okay, so you want me to do to what exactly, be in the movie with you?" This was blowing his mind. "This is nuts. Even if I auditioned, I don't have a ton of acting experience. Just because we dance well together doesn't mean I'd be what they are looking for." It was true though, he hadn't done much acting before, just minimal things, and even then he might simply just not be what they wanted for the role. He had no idea what direction they were going in, if they were staying true to the original, if they were steering away from it, making it more modern. He had no clue. "I mean, just because you think you want me to be in a movie doesn't guarantee me a role. They're not gonna cast average Joe dancer over here with no experience." but, they'd cast Bailey. He was so confused. Doing a movie like this was... not something you do and then go back to your daily life. This would put him on the map. He didn't know if he wanted to be on the map. And, Zoe pretty much despised Bailey. There was a part of him in his head that knew Zoe would hate this arrangement.

Bailey watched Gabe as he sat down next to Zoe and rested his arm over the back of the couch where Zoe promptly moved her legs off of the back of the couch and sat upright so she could sit next to him. “ Exciting, right?” she asked, leaning forward to rest her forearms on her knee as she listened to him carry on. She opened her mouth to say something but was quickly interrupted by Zoe, ‘ You’re anything but an average Joe dancer Gabe, you’re phenomenal”. Bailey smiled , looking from Zoe to Gabe. “ See. Even the Abercrombie oompa loompa thinks you’re phenomenal.” She placed her hand up looking at Zoe before she could say anything. “ There’s no shame in being short sweetheart but you aren’t doing yourself any favors by being best friends with that blonde pair of legs you run around with” Bailey clenched her jaws, realizing that this was going to be just as difficult as she was afraid it was going to be.
“ I understand it doesn’t guarantee you anything, but the director agreed to meet with you because of my persistence. You are what they’re looking for. They’re wanting to make it modern, twist it up a bit. If I think you’re this perfect for it, then you have to be. No,.. it’s not a guarantee. But you’re getting to meet the director of the remake of Footloose. That’s huge, Gabe. Take the opportunity. Even if you decide to turn it down.. take the chance to meet him. Think about it.. “. She bit the inside of her cheek looking at Zoe and Gabe, “ Look I get I’m not your favorite person. Either of you. I’m flighty, and well.. in your opinion, slutty.” she said, smiling pointedly at Zoe, “ But I’m right. This is a huge honor. Agree to meet with the director. That’s the only thing I want you to promise me. You don’t have to tell me if you want to do this or not. Just meet with him. I’ll let him sell you the rest. Because Gabe… this is a role you’re perfect for,”

Gabe, again, looked over at Zoe apologetically after Bailey so easily called her an oompa loompa. It seemed he was constantly doing that, whenever Bailey was around, shooting Zoe apologetic looks. Bailey was right about two things. One, she was right about the fact hat she wasn't exactly either of their favorite person, probably less on Zoe's end. She pissed Zoe off and, in turn, made life difficult for Gabe. And second, she was right about it being an amazing opportunity. And while Gabe would make no promises at this point, he would think about it, doing the movie. He would mull it over for a few days, at least go and meet the director. See what this whole thing was all about. A modern twist on a classic. Could be awesome or disastrous. But what did he and Bailey have to lose? Nothing. If it tanked they both went back to life as they knew it. If it did well, then they could both say they were part of something awesome. Gabe glanced back at Bailey, nodding, "Okay, no promises. But I'll think about it. And... meet with the director. I guess," he shrugged slightly, fighting back a smile that managed to creep its way onto his face. "Just tell me when and where, I'll meet with the guy." Gabe looked over at Zoe, wondering what she was thinking. Surely she'd seen Footloose, she knew the storyline. Surely she'd know what being in the film meant, opposite Bailey. He wondered what she thought about that.

Bailey watched the exchange of looks between Gabe and Zoe. Seriously was he going to coddle her throughout the entire relationship. But when he agreed to meet with the director he lit up in excitement. “ Oh my god!” she said excitedly as she jumped up off of the couch. If the director liked the chemistry between them, then there was no way this wasn’t going to be a success. “ You just made me the happiest girl alive,” she said, lunging over to wrap her arms around Gabe out of pure excitement. “ We can all have lunch tomorrow, and I’ll text you where to meet us. I promise you won’t regret this,” she said , still unable to stop the grin that was perpetually fixed on her face. “Okay. I will leave you for celebratory sex,” she said, pulling her shorts up at the sides as she made her way back over to Gabe’s front door. But then there was just something inside of her that made her pause and turn around. Bailey never intentionally hurt anyone, she sure as heck did what she wanted but she never tried to upset someone. And she knew that if Gabe went into this, there was a chance that might happen with Zoe. “ So you two are like.. in love, right?” she questioned, just wanting to clarify it. If she was going to be marching in on his territory, she wanted to know exactly where she was going.

Gabe raised his eyebrows, chuckling slightly when Bailey hopped up and hugged him, saying how happy that made her. He hugged her back, laughing, "Well... good." He sat back and watched her. At least she was excited. That was good. She was excited about something with him other than sleeping with him. Maybe he would get the part and maybe it would be awesome. "Yeah, just shoot me a text, I can meet you guys and talk it over." He had to forced back a snort when she talked about congratulatory sex. He didn't need to look at Zoe to know there wouldn't be any of that. Gabe stood up, heading to the door to walk her out. She was certainly full of surprises, that was for sure. He had no idea when he saw her standing in her doorway she'd be telling him she thought he should audition for Footloose, but hey, people can be surprising. And then she went and surprised him again. Asking him if they were, what, in love? Gabe shook his head, okay. Time for bailey to make her graceful exit. Gabe placed his hand on the door handle, nodding and smiled, "Yeah." He opened the door, "We are. So I will see you tomorrow. Text me where and when." Gabe grinned, he wasn't kicking her out per say. But ten more minutes and Zoe would probably jump her. And he had to talk to Zoe about this anyways because there was no way she was okay with this.
