It's been a while since Nathaniel actually had a life in past few months. All he could think about was Esta and why his best friend Mandi kept having Hunter over. He noticed that when she's around Hunter, she's happy and her face just glows with happiness. What more can he ask for his best friend happiness? After what she been through, this is what she needed in her life. Nathaniel wanted to surprise Mandi by going to her college football to support her and get some fresh air. Sitting with her brother and Hunter, was really something. He got to know Hunter little more than listening on and on about how great he is from her mouth. Living together with his friend was the greatest, they minded their own business---yeah right. They're nosey as hell and they're really protective of each other. It's been like that for years and years.

After the game was over, he saw how Mandi was searching for her Hunter when she found him, she ran up to him and hugged him. He chuckled to himself as he left the place and drove to their place to get dinner ready. Well not much of a dinner since they're both making dinner together. Just them this time around. No Hunter or Riley or Esta. Just two best friends enjoying and doing what they do best, fooling around and laughing. Turning the lights on, he threw his jacket on the sofa before making his way to the kitchen to get beer out of the fridge. "It's going to be one hell of a night. He told himself as he opened the cap and took a gulp of his cold beer. He turned on his stereo, which played Secrets by OneRepublic. Placing his bottle on the counter, he pulled his phone out and sent a quick text to Esta telling how much he misses her and can't wait to see her. He had missed his brown eyed beauty. Nathaniel set his phone down next to his beer and started thinking what they're going to make for dinner as he waited for Mandi to come back.

[Mandi Lynn Collins]

Mandi came barreling inside the door, throwing her duffel bag down to the side. “ Shower!” she called out quickly, making her way towards the bathroom before she came to a complete halt, turned on her heel, ran into the kitchen, grabbed one of Kyle’s beers, and ran back towards the bathroom. It was nice that Nate had come to one of her games, even decked out in Columbia blue. Mandi took a drink from the beer as she kicked her cheerleading asics off in her room before grabbing her robe and high-tailing it to the shower. The last thing she wanted was to reek while they were making dinner together. She took a shower as quickly as he could, barely giving the water any time to warm up before she was already jumping out and wrapping the towel around herself. Mandi shook her hair out, deciding to let it air dry but trying to get some of the water out of it. After picking up her lotion she went back to her bedroom and sat down in front of her vanity. She smiled as she looked at a few pictures she’d placed on the surface of it. There was her and Nate on their moving day, her and Riley while she held Lily, one of her and Mackenzie, and her new favorite of her and Hunter. Riley had managed to find a picture of them from when they had first met, kissing at a baseball game and put it in a frame for her. Mandi looked at them each for a second before she went back to putting lotion on her legs and then stood up quickly, pulling on the closest pair of shorts she could find. She scrunched her nose as she debated between a regular bra and a sports bra before she decided to go with the more comfortable of the options and walked out of her room, holding onto her now empty bottle of beer as she pulled her shirt on over her shoulders and down over her stomach. “ I am sooo hungry,” she said as she stood on her toes to look over Nate’s shoulder and see if he had started cooking anything yet.

Mandi lifted her fingers back to her hair before she shook it out again slightly and then went over to the sink and washed her hands. “ Did you play nice with the boys?” she asked with a slight smile, wondering how he had spent time with her brother and her… Hunter. She was glad that Nate had spent more time with Hunter than Andre, he just hadn’t been worth involving in her life too much. Especially after he showed his true colors the other night, something she was still having to calm Riley over, well and Hunter. Which was scarier. Mandi would rather have a loaded semi-truck come in her direction than a pissed off Hunter.But Andre had given her something after all, angry Hunter turned out to be the sexiest Hunter. Besides, he actually knew her. Every part of her. Andre was just an ass that didn’t know the first thing about her, especially something that completely defined her and had changed her and Riley’s lives forever. Not to mention she’d never told him about what had happened with Riley, either. So fine, he could think she was a bitch. But that was a hell of a lot better than what she thought of him. Instead, she just found him to be nothing. Mandi clicked her tongue quietly before she made her way over to the stereo, changing the artist to Mika and selecting ‘ Grace Kelly’ before she smiled sweetly in Nate’s direction so he wouldn’t make her change it. Not that she would anyways. “ How is miss Esta?” she asked, taking the prime rib that she had let thaw out of the fridge and set it in front of Kyle. He was the man, he could grill. Mandi turned back to the fridge, getting everything she’d need to get the salad and baked potatoes ready. She hadn’t really talked about how things had just dropped off with Andre, and she’d never really come out and said how she felt about Hunter, just that he was a great guy. But that didn’t mean she wasn’t interested in what was going on in his love life.

If Mandi would've told him what she wanted for dinner, he would've started on it, but that girl is really something. Yet everyone loves her. No words can describe her especially like how she came in their flat, ran in the kitchen grabbed his beer and went to her room. Nathaniel couldn't stop himself as he bursted into laughter and got new beer out. This was them, taking things from each other without asking. What can he say about it, he loves her and without her his life would've sucked. Just kidding. But it would be little boring without having little spice in his life. Nathaniel heard the shower go off and within in couple of minutes it turned off. He sat on the counter table, sipping his beer and thinking of whether or not he should turn on the tv or not. He felt lazy after he came back from the game, it was actually nice to get fresh cool air in him. It was New York baby, it's bound to get cold and snow. Talking about snow, he was so glad that it snowed like every year on Christmas day. He loves White Christmas, it's magical to him ever since he was a kid. Especially snow ball fights with his friends and family members are just joyful.

Finishing his first beer, he threw it in trash just as Mandi came out of her room and looking at the kitchen. He watched her as she changed music, making him groan and sigh right after, it was her eyes that made him stop from pleading on changing the song. He would've gotten away with it if it wasn't were for those eyes. "Nope. What are you going to do? I gave your Hunter a black eye while Riley laughed his ass off." Nathaniel was kidding of course, he was found of Hunter and Riley. He wouldn't dare to do anything like to a guy that makes Mandi happy. Hearing Esta's name from Mandi's mouth, his heart skipped a beat and smiled like an idiot. "She's great. Haven't talked to her today so I don't know what she's doing. " It didn't bother him on what she was doing because he trusted her and she's a great person. Him being a gentleman, meant so much to him and everyone else. Stepping aside, he watched his best friend take things out of the fridge and he started the the over on preheat at 500 F, knowing that he's the one that's going to be making them. "How's the little kiddo? I miss her. She must be big and crawling by now. Have Riley bring her over and let me babysit her. Well me and Esta probably. " He had met Riley's daughter when she was just couple months old and since then he hasn't seen her expect pictures of her on Riley's page and Mandi's phone.
