Rosie wasn't sure how Ethan was going to react when she got to North Carolina and showed up on set just to visit for a couple of days. She hoped he'd be at least excited to see her, seeing as when he left her place the last time he'd seen her things hadn't been too weird. Of course time and distance could weirden things up a bit, but she hoped not. Obviously neither of them had planned to sleep together that last time they were together, but it had happened. Rosie thought they both had handled it okay, brushing it off. Surely it happened. Shit happened. No big deal, move on. Friends could do that. It was just that she hadn't really been down to see him so she figured returning the favor could be nice for a change. Things were so heavy at home, he probably didn't want to walk back into that. And frankly, she could use a break from that too. Things were weird at home too. Joel, of course, and then Blake and Logan were divorced apparently, which was sort of weird for everyone. Plus Shane was away and Claire was... trying to stay positive. Some how everything got back around to affecting Ethan in some way, or he had some wort of tie to the situation, like a sibling or a friend. Rosie sat back in her seat, fastening her seat belt as instructed by the over head light since it seemed they were landing. She hadn't packed a very big bag, just a carry on, so she didn't have to deal with luggage, which was a relief. But she'd booked a nearby hotel room just so she had someplace to crash for the few nights she was visiting. She figured she could just get a rental car. Who knew, maybe she wanted to go what stuff there was in North Carolina for fun.

After the plane landed, she'd gotten off the plane and then went and rented a car, Rosie got directions on her phone and started headed off to whatever forest in Panem where she might find Ethan and Meredith. Luckily she drive was pretty unstressful if anything. She didn't get to drive too much in New York, and even now when she had lots of open roads to drive on, she still found driving on the right side of the road strange. She finally reached her destination, a little town just an hour out of Charleston. She found it strange how they could take a little deserted village that was just rotting on itself and turn it into movie magic. Really, they could do whatever they wanted for movies, just so long as you had the imagination and the money, she supposed. Of course she had to get clearance with security and what not, but people knew she was friends with Meredith and Ethan. SO after a short time they'd allowed her into 'Panem'. She parked her car and hopped out, leaving all her things in there except for her phone which she slipped into her back pocket and headed to wherever they were currently filming on set. She'd never seen so many people running around, concerned about the littlest details. That some girls hair couldn't change in the middle of the scene, or that Panem 'would never have a plant like that'. So many little details to get right.

She found the current scene location, spying Meredith off in the distance looking very Katniss with her bow and arrow and sullen look on her face. Katniss just wanted to hunt in the woods, she didn't want all this nonsense, right? It looked like the make up people were caking more 'dirt' on Meredith's face, so Rosie apprehensively approached the important looking guy a clip board and a mega phone who turned to face her, "Oh, you're here. There's been rumors around set all morning that we were getting a Victoria's Secret model visiting. Meredith is doing a scene at the moment, so if you could just hold tight before you go and steal her attention..." he trailed off, barking something at a nearby camera guy. Rosie was sure Meredith probably didn't even notice her when she was working, but Rosie also hung back so as not to distract her. Katniss was supposed to be serious, if she saw Rosie, Katniss would lose her seriousness. Finally the guy called out something with his mega phone, indicating it was a wrap for that scene and all the union people could take their breaks. He looked at Rosie, "All yours," and handed her the mega phone jokingly. Rosie pushed the button and spoke into it, "Meredith, you really need to work on your archery skills, their looking a bit sub par for Katniss Everdeen. And can we get some more dirt on her face?" she asked, smiling when Meredith saw her and gave the guy his mega phone back, heading toward Meredith.

Meredith turned her neck from side to side, letting it pop loudly before she shook her hands out and placed them back over the bow and arrow. It was so intense how much training she and Ethan had gotten since they were signed to the movie. Ethan picked up the bow and arrow a little bit faster than she did, but she had advanced further than he had. Primarily because she got more training with it than he did. Filming was getting intense now since they had done most of the shooting in District 12 and were now focusing on the heart of the hunger games. Covered in mud, fake blood, doing her hair carefully and then purposely making it look slept in and hardened. The day they had placed the fake burned skin on her leg made her nauseous. Ethan had finished filming a little over a week ago but he stuck around on set, hanging out with her and Josh. It was a hell of a lot of fun when they were able to quit shooting for the day and go out to the bars. She knew Ethan had a lot on his mind, but since when had he ever talked about anything? He probably held all the deep dark secrets of the world.. there wouldn’t be a better person for it. Meredith lost her focus as someone else came up to put more mud on her face and then tried to ignore her as she worked and the director was talking to her about where he wanted her to take the scene. She gave a few nods, staying silent as she listened to his instruction. When the make up artist was finished, Meredith gave her a quick smile and then went back to her mark to continue filming the scene.

Meredith dropped the bow and arrow down to the side as soon as the director yelled cut and was on her way off of the set when she heard Rosie speaking through a megaphone. She’d know that accent absolutely anywhere. She smiled, squealing out of excitement as she went running towards her and wrapped her arms around her in a hug. “ Rosie!” she yelled, squeezing her arms as tight as she could before she took a step back. “ Do you ever know how to not be the center of attention ?” she said, laughing quietly before she started tearing off her wardrobe and tossing it down on the directors chair. “ Does Ethan know you’re here yet?” she asked, looking up at Rosie as she started to unlace her boots so she could slide out of them. She did a double take, looking back at Rosie before she narrowed her eyes. “ What’s going on with that anyways. He told me about how you two slept together.. is this an official thing, what’s up?” she whispered. It was hard to imagine if Rosie wanted a guy she couldn’t have him already.

Ethan sat in his trailer, feet up on the counter as he stared at the same spot. For what, hours now? He had a term paper due tomorrow. That should’ve been started a few days ago. Wait, did he have a radio interview too? That seemed right. Maybe it was the day after tomorrow. Claire’s appointment was tomorrow.. that’s what it was . Shit, no. That was the twelfth. He should be home for that. Then he needed to fly back to do some press with Death and Josh. Then what about the Last Song. He narrowed his eyebrows, trying to remember when his next press for that was. He was pretty confident he had an interview coming up for that.Claire was fine… Kyle was there.. Right? And no one else really needed him up there to deal with the Joel situation. They were all leaning on one another. He was just another body. She seemed so scared, lost. If it wasn’t for Felizia, Zoe, Kiersten, Dani.. he wasn’t sure what the girl would do. Plus Rosie had spent some time with her. Rosie. Well there was another friendship he had gone and fucked up. Literally. No big deal. Friends in pain, school on the line, career starting to spiral into a confusing blur of things, best friend on tour, sister freaking out. He just.. he couldn’t go back. Not yet, he wasn’t ready. Not to mention Natalia was ‘dating’ this new guy , Collin. He was sick of getting asked how he felt about that. He hadn’t even touched a soccer ball in what.. a month? Ethan brought his hand up and rubbed the heel of his hand against his eyes. “ May the odds be ever in your favor,” he said sarcastically, quoting the movie before he dropped his feet from the counter and headed out of the trailer and back to the set.

Ethan took a sip of his coffee, noticing that Meredith was engulfed in a conversation with someone already, though he hadn’t really taken a good look at her. ‘ Um, Ethan’ one of the set assistants said looking at him, pushing up her glasses before she looked back down at her clipboard. He smiled as he watched her. He’d spoken to her a few times. She was shy, had the glasses, put her hair in the ‘dorky’ esque pigtails. The whole nerdy package. But she didn’t even realize that she had potential. Sometimes all girls needed was a little confidence. He licked the corner of his lips, looking down at her. He didn’t want her to think that girls like Rosie and Meredith were the only ones that ever got the guy. He never spoke to her about it directly, but he had heard other people, make up artists, costume designers, lighting crew, asking her about prom, if she had found a date, if she had a dress. “ Hey Lindsay…” he said, waiting for her to lift her eyes away from the clipboard and actually look at him. “ Would you do me the honor of letting me escort you to your prom?” he questioned her, lifting his eyebrow slightly before he smiled at her and gave a small nod at her reaction. “ I’ll be back in New York by then.. but um.. I’d be honored to come back and spend the evening with you,” he said before he gave her a quick hug. As he walked away , he turned around to look at her as he spoke. “ You’d look beautiful in blue,” he offered with a soft smile before he turned and headed towards Death. “ Rosie!” he said out of surprise and set his coffee down. “ What the hell, mate?” he asked, picking her up off of the ground as he hugged her.

Rosie hugged Meredith, genuinely excited to see her. It seemed like it’d been forever since they’d been able to hang out and Rosie never got to see Meredith in action at work so this was kind of a treat. Plus Meredith had been seeing Ethan more than anyone lately and Rosie knew she and Meredith were going to have a conversation about the whole her and Ethan hooking up thing. Maybe Meredith had something to say on the subject. Rosie laughed when Meredith asked if she knew how to not be the center of attention, but she shook her head, “Oh, I guess I don’t.” Rosie picked up a piece of Meredith’s discarded clothing, taking in the dirt and grime of the ‘arena’ and set it back down, wrinkling her nose, “No, I haven’t seen him. I don’t think he knew I was coming, unless someone around here tipped him off. Which, really wouldn’t be all that surprising,” she shrugged. Rosie sighed, lowering her voice also when Meredith asked about Ethan, and what was going on. “Nothing that I’m aware of. Definitely not an official thing… not even like, on its way to being official.” She made a face and shrugged, “Whatever, one time thing. Probably not going to happen again.” Rosie looked away, scanning the groups of people, half expecting him to pop up. She looked back and smiled, they had brushed it off. No sense in being weird about it, “No big deal. Besides, I don’t think he’s interested anyways. If he was, things would be way different… I mean I send enough hints, he’s not an idiot. Definitely not interested,” she laughed and trailed off, actually spotting Ethan with a small girl with a clip board, maybe an assistant or an intern or something. They were just near enough to over hear their conversation, which was mostly Ethan.

The girl’s name was apparently Lindsay, and Ethan had just offered to take her to her prom. Rosie’s heart stopped for a second, holding her breath. That was a really, really sweet thing to do. Stupid Ethan. He had to go and be that guy too? It was bad enough she knew she was majorly crushing on him and then he goes and does sweet things for people and it just made her like him more. Which was not a good thing because, as she’d just blatantly told Meredith, he was so not interested in Rosie. She had to find a way to get over him. She was going to drive herself crazy crushing on him when he didn’t feel the same way. Not healthy. Maybe she just needed to get back out and date other people or something. It had been a while since she had hung out with other guys other than Ethan. Tyson had seemed like he wanted t hang out. Maybe she could call him when she got back to New York. Ethan made his way over, surprised to see her. He didn’t know she was coming, so that was good. Didn’t give him an opportunity to tell her not to. She hugged him back though, squeezing him tight and kissed him on the cheek, but pulled away, hitting him lightly on the arm to get his attention, “Ethan Fox, that was the nicest thing, you just asked her to her prom?” She shook her at him, smiling, “That was so sweet.” Rosie stepped away, reminding herself she should attempt to put distance between them if she was serious about getting over him, “So now what?” she looked from Ethan to Meredith. This was their set, she was up for whatever normal things they did every day.
