Ah, Starbucks. Warm, welcoming, heavenly Starbucks. Was there any place on earth that was better than this place? Well other than the beach. It was Nate's day off from work and just wanted to spend the day all to himself. It was rare for him to have a day off since he's always taking care of his dad's business and cleaning up his older brother's mess. Which is everyday since, after all, he's nothing but a player and a big flirt. Nate hopes that one day his older brother grows up and takes responsibilities around the house.
It was a decent day in New York, everyone's busy with their things and getting from and to places. Most girls are busy shopping at SoHo or the mall or something that they're best at. Nate stopped his gleaming blue BMW in front of the doors and slid out of the car, slamming the door shut behind him. He locked his car as he slowly sauntered into the store, feeling the cool blast of AC blow onto his skin. First thing first, Nate inhaled the sweet smell that engulfed him. Coffee He thought as he smiled and joined the long line of people waiting to order their drinks. Cafe music floated across the store, chatter bouncing along with it, and the whirring of blenders breaking it.
When Nate reached the front of the line, he stood at the counter, he smiled at Rosie who always took his order. "Hey there, Nate! The usual: grande caramel machiatto frappicino?" Nate was the usual costumer there and never changed what he drinks there. But he wasn't in the mood of the usual. He wanted something that he hadn't had it in while. "Actually, I'll have grande chocolate chip java," he said smiling and taking seven dollars from his wallet out and give it to Rosie, telling her to keep the change. When she handed his drink, Nate thanked her with a smile on his face. Finding a table near the window, he walked over, set his coffee on the table and sat down. The sunlight was streaming down through the window, knowing that it was going to be a good day.
Looking around the store, he pretty much saw people doing the same thing: talking on the phone, or sitting with their friends or loved ones, and Starbucks isn't Starbucks without an old person. He smiled at the man who looked to be in his fifties, just as he did his phone rang. He sighed as he pulled his phone out of his pocked knowing that it was his brother or someone at home. For once I would like the day off and be me. But no one gets that. There was a message from his mother saying that they're ordering in since she's sick. Nate being Nate, he didn't bother to argue with his mom and ruin his day with her usual lecture. He placed his phone on the table and picked up his drink to take a sip or two. It felt good as the cold chocolaty drink went down. He wished that someone was there with him now, after realizing that he isn't him with someone. Then again, he doesn't eat alone that's one of the reason why he tries to make sure that there is someone with him when he eats.

The Thomas family was so nice, especially the daughter, Kristen. They had all been so welcoming to Esta. They were going to be her family for the next year or so. She was staying with them so she could go to Columbia in the fall. Her father wanted to get her out of Italy and into an American college. They had the money, so it didn't matter which school she chose, he was happy as long as she was out of Italy all together. Her father felt it wasn't safe for her, but that's not the reason her gave her. He told her that American schools were better and she would be able to get a great job in America. You see, her father was head of the Italian Mafia, and Esta, being the daughter of the head, was in danger over in Italy. All her father wanted to do was protect her and keep her out of harm's way. He found a very nice family and sent her on her way. Of course Esta wasn't going to be one to complain, she had always wanted to go to America. As of right now, she had temporary citizenship, but that was alright with her. She had really liked the family that her father chose to have her live with. The son, Stefan, was really nice and Esta found him to be very attractive, but she was told but Kristen that Stefan had a "fling" so she wouldn't get in between that. Last night, Esta couldn't sleep so she went downstairs and found Stefan. They stayed up and talked all night. Stefan told her all about New York and which places to see and even taught her some English. Esta knew that her English wasn't all that great, but she could speak it. She could tell that her and Stefan would be great friends. Stefan had also told her that he'd take her around New York today, so that's why she was up and standing by the door. "Stefan." she called up the stairs. "andiamo." (let's go.) Esta walked out the front door, not waiting for Stefan. She walked over to what she thought was his car and stood on the passenger side back door. A few minutes later, Stefan was outside and heading towards the car, "You know you can sit up front." he said as he opened his door. Esta looked at him, "Ah hem." Stefan rolled his eyes and walked over to open the door for her. "Grazie." (thank you) she said with a smile. Stefan smiled, closed the door and then got in his side and drove off. "I want to go to this..this Starbucks you told me about." she said as she looked out the window at everything passing by. "Okay." A few minutes later, Stefan pulled in front of Starbucks and parked. He got out and then opened her door. Esta stepped out and looked at him. "Don't leave here. I'll be back soon. Then we can go sight see, please don't leave here." he said as he closed her door and walked back over to his side. "Va bene" (alright) she said as she headed into Starbucks. Esta looked around as soon as she walked into Starbucks. There was so many people there and there was a long line waiting to order. Esta sighed and got at the back of the line. She'd figure out what she wanted while she was in line. Stefan had named a lot of things to try, he had also given her some American cash so she had some on her. She would pay him back of course. It was Esta's turn now and she still had no idea what she wanted. "May I help you miss?" Esta was still looking at the menu, "Uno minuti...uh one moment." she quickly corrected herself. "Va bene, I'm ready." "What can I get you?" the girl smiled. "Uh, I'd like the vente Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino, per favore." The girl rang it up and asked for the money, Esta had no idea what it was, so she handed the girl a $10. The girl gave Esta back her change, "Grazie.".Esta waited for her drink and looked around some more. She noticed a young male, maybe early 20's, sitting by himself and she decided she'd go be friendly. Esta got her drink and walked over to his table, "Mi scusi. Mi dispiace,"(excuse me, im sorry) she smiled, "May I uh....join you?" her Italian accent very heavy. OUTFIT: click.

Despite being his day off, Nate didn't really had plan the day. Other than go to Starbucks and chill over there. There was something that he knew he was supposed to do but what? As he sat there thinking and being in his own world, Nate figured what he had forgotten. More like what he forgotten early in the morning. Exercise. He always works out every morning since middle school. It's something that makes him, him. Without it he day doesn't go the way he wanted. Now that he remembered, Nate sighed as shaking his head. What can I do about it know? Guess there's always in the evening. Maybe a little jog in the park would be great. he didn't know how that happened but guess it was worth it.
More and more customers came through the door, well the line was getting big. It was a good thing that they know how to handle coustomers early in the morning. New York people can be little aggressive and somewhat snappy. That is according to him. Nate looked at the window and saw a familiar car and saw a tall as him guy, follow by a pretty girl who he hasn't seen around in town. How can he, anyway? Nate is busy helping his father and doing things for his older brother. When the girl came through the door he knew right then that she was new, her outfit was impressive, no doubt there. He starting wondering why the guy leave her here when she clearly get lost in the city. Nate shrugged off what he was wondering and right then he just realized that it was Stefan Thomas. Some one that he knows but not very well he couldn't remember when it was the last time he talked to her.
Nate looked up when he heard a soft voice and saw that it was the same girl that was with Stefan. First it was Italian then English with very strong Italian accent. "Of..of course." He said smiling and gestured to the chair in front of her. I'm Nathainel. And you are? Say it out loud you idiot!! He cleared his thorat as he began to talk, "Uh...I'm Nathaniel. But everyone calls me Nate. And you are? I"
[/b] Nate didn't know what else to say to the girl. She was gorgeous and no doubt that he couldn't keep his eyes away from her. He looked away, looking inside the store or outside anything but her. Picking up his drink he took a sip and placed it back on the table and smiled at the girl once again. note: none outfit: here[/blockquote][/blockquote]
