Patrick held the phone against his ear, biting the edge of his lip absentmindedly before he shook his head. “ That’s just not going to work for me” he said decisively before looking up as someone opened the door to his office He sighed out of annoyance before he looked up and saw that it was Dakota and Paisley. “ Something important just came up, I’ll e-mail you the details for the contract later” he said, hanging the phone up without saying goodbye. “ Baby girl” he said happily as he stood up from his desk and walked over to Dakota who was carrying Paisley in her carseat. “ Hey sis,” he said, leaning down to give her a quick hug before he immediately reached down and started to take Paisley out of her carseat. Please don’t spit up on him, this suit cost more than some peoples homes. “ Hey are you busy?” she asked, taking in a deep breath before she sighed herself. “ Tiffany is running a bit late for lunch otherwise I’m right on schedule. Which means I might have to push my meeting with Mr.White back,” he said, narrowing his eyes slightly. But right now all he cared about was holding onto Paisley. ‘ Ah Tiffany..’ Dakota said, giving him a slight nod. “ She should be here any mi-“ he started before his secretary beeped through his phone. “ Mr. Adams, Miss DiNozzo is here to see you,” she said mousily and Patrick shook his head. “ Thank you, send her in. She doesn’t need to wait, I think I’ve said that before” he said before Dakota smacked him against the arm and mouthed ‘ be nice’. Patrick made a face at her and then clicked the secretary off the line.
Finally Tiffany came in and smiled seeing him holding Paisley. “ Hey guys” she said happily, wrapping her arm around Dakota in a hug. “ Hey you..” Dakota said back, looking back and forth between Patrick and Tiffany. “ Trick be careful holding that baby, your asshole points might diminish” she said with a lift of her eyebrow before she made her way over to him. She stood on her toes, giving him a kiss on the cheek before she hugged him, careful not to squish Paisley. “ Why don’t you two just date already?” Dakota asked with a tilt of her head. Patrick scoffed, looking away from Paisley as he looked up at Dakota, “ Because I like her too much,” he offered as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. “ Well we just wanted to stop by and say hello.. we’re on our way home, so.. Don’t want to be in the way” Dakota said, coming back over to take Paisley out of Patrick’s arms. “ Are we still on for dinner tonight?” she asked as she looked up at him. “ Wild horses couldn’t keep me away” he said, leaning down to place a kiss against Paisley’s head before he hugged Dakota tightly. ‘ Love you guys, let me know when you make it home, yeah?” he said with a slight lift of his eyebrows. He watched her leave, before taking in a deep breath and placing his hands in his front pockets as he looked at Tiffany. “ I hope you’re hungry,” he said , giving a slight shake of his head before he opened the door to his office and held it for her.
“ Oh..” he said, stopping to go back to his secretary. “ I’m going to be pushing back my twelve o’clock meeting to three o’clock. Don’t worry about contacting him, I’ll handle that.” he said, turning on his heels but stopped as he heard her speak up. “ We can’t do that. You two have been rescheduling meetings for the past month. If it doesn’t happen at noon it will never happen.” she said and Patrick turned back to face her, ignoring the pleading look in Tiffany’s eyes to just go. “Oh thank god. You’ve begun to make crucial decisions that impact the company. I suppose that means they can finally take my name off of the building” he said, staring at her blankly. “…I’m sorry sir, I’ll put it in the books” she said, looking down at her keyboard before she started typing quickly. Patrick shook his head, looking over at Tiffany as they headed over to the elevator. “ How hard is it to find good help? Everyone has an opinion” he said, pushing the button. “ Well maybe who you have a meeting with is getting frustrated about the rescheduling” Tiffany offered, tilting her head to look up at him. “ No,he’s been responsible for some of them too. What do you think we all are , just a bunch of suits?” he said with an amused expression at Tiffany. “ Ah well if he is anything like you then I highly doubt it. Is he an asshole, too?” she asked with a smile across her lips. “ He’s efficient” he offered before stepping onto the elevator.
“ What do you want for lunch?” he asked and Tiffany sighed while thinking. “ Lobster” she said with a nod. “ I’m wearing Italian..” he said with a bemused look at her. “ That’s not very efficient..” she said in mock seriousness before she smiled at him. “ Lobster it is, Miss DiNozzo” he said while shaking his head. After making it down to his car he unbuttoned the jacket of his coat, taking it off and resting it in the backseat before he rolled up his sleeves to make himself a bit more comfortable. “ You look nice today.. what kind of dress is that?” he asked while gesturing to her. “ Bandage..” she said, shrugging her shoulder. “ Bandage..” he countered back before giving a slight nod. “ I’m used to seeing you in skinny jeans and heels. Not.. skin tight dresses and heels.” he said with a lift of his eyebrow. “ Who is he?” he asked before Tiffany scoffed, looking in his direction. “ Who is who?”. Patrick sighed out of annoyance. “ Who is the man that you’re dressing up so nicely for?” he said when a smile came across his lips. “ Trick.. I’m not dressing up for anyone,” she said with a shake of her head. “ Oh okay, so you must be in love with me then. God I thought we talked about this, Tiff. You and I just can’t work. We’re too good of friends, and if you are going to try and seduc-“ he said before he was cut off by Tiffany placing her hand over his mouth and glaring at him, causing him to laugh. “ You know it’s not you” she said, pointing at him. “ But it is someone…” he said, pleased that he had gotten her to admit atleast that. “ No worries, Tiffany. You’ll tell me sooner or later” he said before grinning at her and looking out the window of his car. Patrick took his iPod out, connecting it up to the sound system before he clicked shuffle and looked over at Tiffany. He waited for whatever song was about to start and then smiled as he heard the notes. He placed his hands out in front of himself and did a small dance before he belted out to her, “ Ooh baby baby. Ooh baby baby.. Get up on this.Owwwww.. “ he said before swirling his hips. “ This dance ain’t for everybody, only the sexy people… Salt –n- pepa’s here and we’re in effect, want you to push it back. Cool it by day then at night,..workin up a sweat” he said, dancing with Tiffany as she laughed in the seat beside him. By the time the song was over his driver had managed to go through enough backstreets to finally get to the restauraunt. Patrick immediately turned the music off and cleared his throat, adjusting the sleeves on his shirt to look crisp before he stepped out of the back of the car and gave a stiff nod to his driver, heading to the restaurant where he held the door open for Tiffany.
