[Faith] Hit The Lights

Radio interviews, late night television interviews, photoshoots, recordings at the studio, filming music videos, working out contracts for movies she was looking at, dealing with the trial with her dad, working on final projects. A lot was overwhelming her. For one night she didn’t want to be Dani Cooper. She didn’t want to have the stress that her fathers trial was putting on her shoulders. She didn’t want to be asked about her relationship with Jake OR Joel…or Lance. She wanted to be a kid. She wanted to have fun and not worry about the stress that came with being who she was. Because here’s the thing.. she loved it, all of it. Even the stress. It was what she wanted, and she knew it was a price for all of the great things she got to be a part of. Her friends were amazing, she got to help charities, she got these amazing opportunities and she wouldn’t be able to get them without the consequences. So she’d start with tonight.. hang out with Faith, with a little spin. She talked to Destiny for a little while before she made her way to Faith’s room. “ Oh dear Faith” she said happily before she pushed the door open to her room and made her way over to Faith’s bed happily where she laid down and dropped her purse at her side.

Dani looked over at Faith and smiled. Sure she was a pretty private person but Dani liked to think that didn’t mean that she was anti-social. Plus hanging out with Faith was nice. It was nice to be friends with someone who wasn’t somehow involved with the business. “ So I was thinking,” she said, sitting up and reaching over to her purse. “ Do you want to go dancing with me tonight? It’ll be a lot of fun.” she said with a small pout in order to plea with Faith before she reached into her purse and took out the two different colored wigs, placing the smaller one on her own head without tucking her hair in yet. “ How often do we get a chance to be somebody else for the night?” she asked, giving a smile in Faith’s direction as she stood up off of her bed.

Faith stared down at all of the books and notes on her bed. She slammed her chemistry book closed and then plopped back on her pillows, why did teachers have to give so much homework before finals were starting? Faith needed to come home and just be away from the craziness of the college. It seemed like she was the only one that really cared about her education in her group of friends.Home was the place she could escape the crazy college life and just be her daddy's little girl. Destiny and Hope weren't really any help, but they did try, Faith just got so stressed out over the littlest things. It was something that happened her whole life. Her sisters always joke with her and tell her that she's going to be the one with all the grays first. It was true though, she stressed over everything. It was like she had a miracle worker when she heard Dani's voice. "Oh thank God." she said to herself.

Dani and Faith had become pretty good friends in the past few weeks. Ever since Joel had woken up. "Hey girl." she said as she looked over at her. She watched her lay on the bed, "Rough day for you too? I feel ya." Faith said as she stared back up at the ceiling. Faith didn't really know what Dani had to go through, but she could tell how she was feeling. Faith looked back over to her when Dani sat back up again. She sat up and grabbed the other wig when Dani pulled the two out, "I would love to go out dancing. I think we both need this." She hugged Dani and then pulled her over to her mirror so they could put the wigs on properly.
