Ethan sat at the edge of the bed in the spacious hotel room, turning his neck to the side to let it crack. He was more stressed out about today than he had been about anything in his entire life. He could feel all of the tension in the back of his neck and shoulders, and if it were even possible he felt more quiet than usual. For instance when they had woken up this morning, he hadn’t even said ‘hello’ to Natalia, just given her a tight hug and kissed the side of her hair. She was right, this needed to be done. As much as he didn’t want to do it, and as much as he thought it was complete bullshit, he wanted to be able to walk out of his hotel room and onto the set without paparazzi screaming at him wondering about Natalia. This wouldn’t completely squash the hype coming around it, but at least it would help it simmer down to something that seemed livable. He turned his head to the side, listening to the shower running in the bathroom and ran his hand over his face. Well, if this was what it was going to take to be with her, then that made it all pretty minor right? He was slightly irritated about how the proposal had gone down but in hindsight all that really mattered was that she had agreed, this is what she had wanted to. It was so strange to think that the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with was the same little girl he watched growing up, playing with his little sister. She’d settled her way into their family and now they were engaged to be married. At least in the eyes of his parents they were going with the traditional route versus whatever the hell Claire and Shane were doing. Even Anabelle had moved in with Dalton. One thing about the Fox kids, you could never really know what to expect from any of them. Dalton the cold-hearted agent softened like ice cream in the sun around Anabelle. Claire who was so pristine and focused got herself a little family with a rockstar. Ethan, the infamous bachelor , gone and engaged.
Ethan ran his hands over the top of his hair, finally standing up to go over to his closet where all of his clothes were put up for the duration of his stay here. He just wanted to be home in his own apartment, having a grill-out with Dan and inviting some friends over. Living with Dan was probably the thing he was going to miss most about the single life, but who knew how long they were going to be engaged. They hadn’t really talked about wedding dates or anything, but he assumed that by the time he and Natalia looked for their first home to move in together, that Dan would be in a spot in his life where he could move in with Meredith. Ethan started taking off the shirt he had slept in before pulling on a pair of blue jeans over hi s boxers. He looked over, hearing Natalia step out of the bathroom and gave a soft smile. Man, he really was quiet today. Maybe part of him knew he would be talking more than he wanted to later. Why did they owe the public any explanation or private details at all? It was bullshit. Ethan licked his lips, taking the long sleeved white button up shirt off of the hanger and slid his arms through it before letting the fabric hang against his stomach. He narrowed his eyebrows, looking down at the shoes placed against the bottom. He still felt weird having the brunette hair, and he had gathered enough scrapes and bruises from being on set. He probably looked like he had just gotten done with a fight, and here he was about to go into his first non-Hunger Games related interview while being in Hawaii. Ethan took in a deep breath again, picking up the pair of shoes before sitting on the edge of the bed and sighing out slowly. Thankfully MTV had agreed to do the interview here at the hotel, so whenever they were ready they just needed to go to where the set had been set up. Obviously they were in Hawaii so it only made sense if they did the interview outdoors, showcase some of the ocean view that the resort had. Claire had done an interview with Shane before for MTV and had said how considerate they were of everything. Considering Natalia had a good rapport with MTV so he was hoping that it would be along those lines as well.
