“ Are you going to try and seduce me? I mean.. are you undressing me with your eyes right now?” Preston asked with mock seriousness as Joel rolled his eyes and headed into the recording booth. ‘ Get the fuck out of here, man” he said, adjusting the headphones over his ears. “ I don’t know man. This is your first song that’s actually about sex. Everything else has been ‘hey I like you. Im looking for love. Let me take care of you”. Now you’re all like “ let’s get down and dirty and have some sex…” Preston said with lifted eyebrows at him. Joel laughed and shook his head. “ Are you really the person to lecture me on this?” he asked with an amused expression on his face. Preston, for as hard working as he was, was the kind of guy that had tattooes all over his entire body, even the side of his neck. And it was of pointless shit. The one on his neck? Some gaming icon thing from some pacman game he was sure. Hell if Joel knew. “ Yeah.. Joel Foster.. I’m sure you’ve had plenty of sex with your whole wholesome boy yet ‘swag’ thing going on” Preston said while working on a few of the switches before sitting back. “ Just don’t forget this time the.. ‘ kissin on your neck while you love me like you do..’ do that in more of a whisper. Bitches love it when we whisper…” he said as he rested his hand behind his back. ‘ Good to go man’ he said before leaning forward and starting up the track again. To be fair sex had never been a factor in distracting Joel. It was to the point where Chace joked about him being asexual. Couldn’t be the farthest thing from the truth. Just because he chose work over sex didn’t mean that he did find women attractive, or sometimes have the same thoughts that every seventeen year old boy did. But he couldn’t help that he was more passionate about work than sex. Then he started working on the As Long As You Love Me video and there she was. The one woman he had slept with. It was strange honestly. There were two types of people around him. Those that thought that he just never had sex, and those that thought that he had it all the time. But as he was getting older he wanted his image to change, he was changing. Sex sold, it was just a matter of fact. But he wanted control over the type of ‘sex image’ that he portrayed. He didn’t think he needed to rip his shirt off and dry hump a stage to sell sex like some artists did. Joel held one hand over one of the earphones as he stepped up to the microphone, trying to soften his voice to both a whisper while still sounding dominant as he sang along to the music. The inspiration for the song had sort of come after spending a few days with Libby, the memories flooding back to him. It hadn’t occurred to him that he hadn’t written a ‘ let’s get down’ type song, and now that it was on his mind the only option he had was to sing about the only experience that he’d had. “ Right there, cause when you love me I can feel it.. when your heart beats I can hear it.. you need to whisper that more man. “ Preston said as he stopped the recording. “ Then come in harder.. ha , pun intended. But then come in more forceful with it on the next verse it. You gotta whisper. You gotta sell it like this girl is leaving you breathless. “ Preston said before he brought his hands in the air and moved them along as he sang in a whisper voice, “ Love me like you doo. Kissin’ on your neck while you love me like you do, hold me tight and don’t let me go”.

Joel started laughing almost instantaneously. It was amusing to see someone like Preston singing a song like this. But he nodded, “ Alright man I got it” he said, taking a step back from the microphone and bounced on his feet moving his head from side to side before he came back up to the microphone and started over. It took about six times running through it but finally it was recorded and Preston was in the back readjusting some things before he pressed the button to talk to Joel again. “ This song is sort of perfect because people won’t really understand it’s about sex unless they listen to the words closely. Just sigh into the microphone real quick. I want to add it into the end of the song like you just know like..finished. That’s the nicest way I can say that bro” Preston said and Joel laughed. “ Sure,” he said, but all he could think of was for the first time he was realizing he prayed to god that his mom didn’t hear this song. He breathed quietly into the microphone before stepping away from it and coming back into the studio with Preston. He sat down, quickly putting his feet up on the counter. Preston was working quickly trying to put everything together. “ I don’t think you’ve asked me to put a song together this quickly before” he said, trying to cut clips and put things together on the computer quickly. “ Yeah it’s just… it’s a day off. And this song was just bouncing around my head. And I really want to play it for Logan since my image is sort of… evolving.” he said with a slightly confused expression on his face. “ Hanging out with Tori today?” Preston asked with his eyes glued on the computer. “ Uh.. I mean probably. I promised Chace I would help him out with Claire and Sam later. I needed to record this song. And I’m 17 I have to make time for friends too right? Fans, music, fiancé, friends. It’s a lot to sort keep happy. But… yeah I mean I’ll call her when I’m done with Chace and everyone.” he said rocking his seat back as he rested his hands behind his head. “ What are you guys fighting?” Preston asked looking over at him for a brief moment before he looked back at the computer. “ God no not at all. My schedule is just really shitty right now,” he said while sitting up. “ The tour isn’t really helping by any means,” he said, watching as Preston worked. ‘ Here this should be a good track to give to Logan’ he said finally, holding his hand out to reach for Joel’s phone as he offered it to him. Preston licked his lips, working on the computer a bit longer to sync the track to Joel’s phone before he sat back. “ How’s the tour going by the way? Collin said that video shoot for As Long As You Love Me went pretty damn well. When’s that coming out?” Preston asked as he twirled lazily in his chair. “ Whenever Collin is done editing it with Tyler I guess” he said as he looked down at his phone. “ Thanks for doing this man. Call me when Logan gets out of his meetings” he said, giving Preston a fist bump before he put his sweatshirt on and started heading out.

Claire brought her arms up over her head , bending to the side as she stretched them out. “ I can’t believe you’re actually starting your own ballet company..” Sam said in almost awe as she walked across the studio. Claire opened her eyes and lowered her arms. “ Well it allows me to maintain being a principal in a company, while being able to …. Drop everything and tour with Shane. It’s so weird.. I think if Brayden wasn’t in the picture I wouldn’t mind Shane being gone for such a long time. I mean he loves it, it’s his passion. But with Brayden I just feel like.. I don’t want them to miss out on each other. I want us to be a family whenever we can” she said, looking over her shoulder at Sam. “ Is that weird?” she asked, dropping her arms down to the side. “ No I think it’s really sweet.. I mean can you imagine when you guys get married? It’ll be that much easier” Sam said while nodding. “ Yeah..” Claire said before she offered a small smile. “ I’m sure that would make it easier” Claire said quietly before she looked up the door as Chace walked in. “ Hey,” she said while smiling and walked over to hug him. “ Sam this is Chace. He’s a choreographer” she said as she introduced them, “ And this is Sam Masters she’s opening a ballet school and was the princip-“ she started before she was interrupted. “ Principal of the American Ballet Company .. who basically dropped out of the ballet scene after marrying Chad Masters it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Chace said as he held his hand out to shake her hand. “ Not that it was Chad’s choice.. it’s hard doing ballet professionally with three little ones. I couldn’t be happier… weren’t you on some Disney show?” she asked as she shook his hand. “ Wizards of Waverly Place.. yeah with Jake and Dani” he said giving a nod. “ Oh my gosh I love those guys.. well it’s nice to meet you.” she said politely as she dropped her hand to her side.

“ Claire are you really wearing that for rehearsal?” Sam asked as she placed her hands on her hips. Claire frowned, looking down at the spandex shorts and cropped tank that she was wearing. “ What’s wrong with it..” she asked while bringing her hair up into a messy bun. “ Well it’s so.. free-spirited. Shows almost all of your skin. And your hair is so…. Casual” she said while placing a smile. “ I love how you’re politely trying to tell me that I look like a slutty harlot who could care less about her hair. But yeah, it’s staying this way. Like it or leave it princess, I’m not one of your students” Claire said before she smiled and walked over to the door. “ Where the hell is Joel Foster” she said, making a pointed look at Chace. “ Hey I’m just friends with the guy” he said while smiling. “ He didn’t seem too pumped about the idea of ballet though” he said sarcastically before putting his sneakers on. “ Yeah but did you tell him that we were making it more of a modern ..contemporary ballet?” she asked as she looked over at Chace. “ What?!” Sam said like she was slightly surprised. “ Oh I’m sorry did you think the slutty harlot was going to choreograph something technical and precise for your students?” Claire said out of amusement while she smiled. “ Loosen the bun, darling” Claire said before she reached up and pulled Sam’s hair down out of the bun and made her way across the studio.

Joel parked his SUV in the somewhat vacant parking lot before he looked up at the building. He gave a slight shake of his head. “ Ballet” he said, reaching over and grabbing his duffel bag that had some basketball shorts and tennis shoes in it as he hopped out of it. Once he reached inside he took his sunglasses off and opted for the stairs instead of taking the staircase. He walked in just in enough time to catch the last of the conversation and smiled. “ Sex sells, Sammy” he said lovingly before he made his way over and gave her a hug. “ Hey babe” he said to Claire, leaning down to give her a hug and kiss her cheek. “ Hey.. thanks for helping. It makes it easier when there’s a guy with each girl while we choreograph. We wouldn’t want to wear Chace out” she said sarcastically before Joel looked over at Chace who was making a ‘yeah fucking right’ face. Joel dropped the duffel bag down and started taking his hoodie off. “ Do you need to go change, Joel?” Sam asked and Joel just gave a slight nod. “ Yeah” he said, while reaching down to unbutton his jeans and kick his shoes off, watching the Supras fly into the corner before he tossed his jeans over there. “ Oh my gosh” Sam said before turning away from him. Joel smirked, pulling the pair of basketball shorts on over his boxers before he leaned down to pull his sneakers on. “ Oh here,” he said, holding a tutu out to Chace before he put one on himself. “ Tutu’s…” Claire said while lifting her eyebrow at Joel. “ Yeah… it’s ballet..” Joel said like it was obvious before he shook his head. “ Have you heard of ballet?” he questioned her as he fluffed the sides of his tutu. “ I haven’t actually.”.

Joel smiled as he watched Claire walk away and then stood on his toes, not how Sam and Claire were capable of by any means, before lifting his arms into the air and spinning towards Chace. He smiled and gave Claire a thumbs up as she took a picture before he took the tutu off while listening to Claire and Sam talk about whose music they should use. “ I just don’t understand how you think you can incorporate sex into ballet” Sam said to Claire as she was braiding her hair. Claire looked over at Sam and shook her head, “ Lance told me all about how you performed to S&M in order to get noticed by scouts. You might have danced precisely and perfectly on pointe. But part of you understands that to capture peoples attention.. you use sex. I just got a step further and use it in dance too besides just the music,” Claire said as she was continuing to stretch. “ Oh think of it as like 50 Shades of Grey. The guy needs to sort of be.. dominant. And the girl is all innocent but attractive. Throughout the dance she becomes more seductive and confident” Claire said. “ You read fifty shades of grey?” Sam asked slightly out of surprise. “ God no.. Ethan did..” Claire said with a face of disgust before she looked back over at Joel. “ Here.. Let’s just show her,” Joel said taking his phone out. “ This song will be perfect actually” Joel said as he hooked up his phone to the sound system.

Once the music started Joel turned his neck from side to side quickly before he took his shirt off and threw it over to where his jeans were. He moved his shoulders back and forth before he watched Claire listening to the song for a moment to get used to the pace of the song before she stepped up on pointe and brought her leg up slowly in the air. Joel moved towards her quickly, gripping her calf as it rose in the air before spinning him towards her, placing her leg over his hip as he moved her closer to his body. He waited for her to tighten her leg behind his waist before he lowered his hand to the back of her leg and brought it to her lower back to let her lean back. After dipping her for a moment he brought her back up to his body and held her against his chest. Chace had made his way over to Sam and was pointing at different aspects of them dancing, noting the way Claire was still on pointe but was managing to do it in a rough sense while moving her hips. Joel moved back slightly, letting Claire lower her leg as she spun her way towards the floor before Joel gripped both of his wrists in his hands firmly and pulled her back up so that she had her back against his chest and was standing on pointe while facing the mirror. Joel brought his hand to the front of her hips, curling his fingertips over the skin beneath her belly button as he lowered his head to the side of her neck, bending it down so that Claire could bring her hand up into the side of his hair. As she brought her leg back up into the air he moved his hand to the other side of her hip where he held onto it tightly before he took a step back and pulled on her frame roughly to start to spin her into an arabesque. Claire stayed there, spinning for a moment while Joel took a few steps back. After a second she lowered her leg , stretching one leg out in front of her precisely as to appease Sam before she smiled at her and looked back over at Joel. He braced himself, planting his feet firmly against the ground as Claire took steps towards him hastily. Once she reached him he gripped both of his hands around her hips and brought her into the air, letting her bend her body as he tried his best to keep his arms straightened. Finally he dropped his arms, letting her spin against his body until she was facing him with her legs wrapped around his lower back and her hands around each side of his neck. As the song ended Claire hopped down off of him and looked over at Sam who quite honestly looked mortified while Chace was talking to her.

Chace moved his hat to the side as he watched Joel and Claire dancing, making little comments to Samantha each time they did something that incorporated both ballet and more hip-hop type moves. It was always fun to combine two worlds. When Claire walked away from Joel and over towards Sam, Chace took it as an opportunity to head over to Joel. “ Since when did you start putting music like that out?” he asked with a slightly impressed expression. He watched Joel as Joel brought his hands up to his chest, scratching the edge of his collar bone before he shrugged his shoulders. “ It was just on my mind, I guess” Chace gave a small nod. Well that made sense. The kid was newly engaged and all. “ Yeah Tori is.. pretty damn beautiful” Chace said as he tossed his water bottle back and forth between his hands. “ Yeah she’s very pretty” Joel said distractedly before he headed over to his duffel bag and started looking through his phone for something.

“ Do you guys want to listen to that track again while we choreograph? I’m going to make Sam join in this time,” Chace said before he tossed a smile over in her direction. “ That is not ballet” Sam said with a slightly exasperated tone. “ It’s the new ballet, come here” Chace said before taking her by the hand and pulling her to the middle of the floor and faced the mirror. “ Whenever you’re ready guys” he said, looking over at Claire who was playing with her hair on the top of her head before she made her way back over to Joel. Chace wached Joel for a moment as he dropped his phone back into his duffel bag and jogged slowly over to where everyone else was. “ Don’t let Shane kill me” Joel said sarcastically to Claire who countered back dryly with , “ He’s more likely to impregnate you”. Chace laughed as the music started, “ Seriously who gets knocked up in one shot.. Like the one time a part of him decides not to be lazy it’s his little swimmers. Go boys go” she said tightening her hair on her head. “ Haha alright.. focus” Chace said as he started to count down the music while trying to teach Sam what she had just watched Claire and Joel so effortlessly do.
