Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin It was after midnight by the time he came home from his photoshoot during the day and doing other things for himself. He wasn't big fan of doing things for himself unless it was important. Such as food. Nate is kind of a person that loves food, he'll eat and eat and eat for hours but won't gain a pound. A reason for that? He works out everyday morning and most evening. More like evening jog. He hasn't really changed over the years and isn't planning on doing that for a very, very long period of time. If he hasn't for any girls or his family members, why would he change for anyone else? He's perfect the way he is. Nate is very different kind of a person....well different from guys his age that is. He works hard for what he is, despite the fact that his family is wealty rich. But that doesn't affect him in any way. Unlike his older brother who doesn't work for his expense.
Parking his brother's car in the second garage, he got out as he did he closed the garage and went inside. Knowing everyone would be asleep or out over at grandma's place, he headed straight towards the stairs to his room. Nathaniel was tired and was ready to go to sleep. But first he needed to take a shower before sleeping. He opened his room door, turning on the light and seeing that everything was clean. There wasn't any clothes on his bed, his laptop was off, and there was whole new bed set. He wondered who would do that in the first place. It clicked to him that it was his mother who always changes things in his room every six to eigth months. Nathaniel doesn't get it why his mother does that in the first place, he's a grown man who can take care of himself and knows what he needs in his life. New bed set was not one of them. He sighed and went to his drawer to pick up a boxer and a new towel. Turning off his room light as he entered his bathroom in his room. He had forgotten something just few second he closed the bathroom door. He went back in his room, got his ipod and went back in the bathroom. He placed the ipod in his ihome and pressed play. She Said
by Stephen Jezark started playing as he stripped his clothes, turned on the shower and stepped into the cold water. Chills went down his spine within seconds the water turn hot making him relax. After fifteen minutes in the shower, Nathaniel stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waste. His hair was wet and water was dripping down his shoulders and back. This is something that he could get use to. Fifteen minutes to himself, taking a shower and listening to up beat music. He didn't care what song was playing as he wore his boxer and taking his towle off and placing it in the laundry hamper. He let the music play in the bathroom but turned off the lights and went to his room. Not even turning on the light he made it to his bed, and lay down, staring at his dark celings he started drifting off just thinking about anything. He's been feeling really tired lately, he's been working so hard for things that he doesn't have time to call or text anyone. Even if he does, he doesn't get reply back very fast. He lives in New York and what do you expect from people? They're busy making their own fame. Mandi pushed her hair out of her face as she looked at what all she needed to carry up to the window of Nate’s room. Sure, she could have just gone through the front door and used her key, but it felt like they were kids again to climb into his window at night the way she used to. A lot had changed over the last few months ; her parents died in a plane accident, her brother Riley found out that not only did he have a daughter, but that the mother died and left him in charge of her, and then just a few days ago, Riley had been hit by a car himself where he struggled with his memory. Thankfully he knew who she was, but she knew it was going to be a struggle to get him back on his feet. Especially since he didn’t remember his daughter. When their parents died it had left Mandi and Riley with more money than they knew what to do with, and especially their estate in New York. Riley had decided to move to New York quickly, and considering he was all the family she had left, Mandi was quick behind him. They visited New York every summer and she’d met her best friend in the entire world there; Nate. Mandi pulled against the rope that she had thrown over the tree, using all of her weight to send her luggage and the food and beer up to the window. Once it reached it, she tied the rope to the base of the tree so it wouldn’t fall. Mandi blew her hair out of her eyes before she took a running start to the tree and began to climb it. The house was Riley’s for all purposes. She knew that he was struggling with his memory; but that would be a home for him, Lily, and Mackenzie in a matter of no time. And with the new found wealth, Mandi could have stayed at any hotel for however long as she needed to while she looked for a place. But this was a huge opportunity for her to stay with her best friend and spend time with him. She was hoping that he would be surprised- especially since she hadn’t even told him yet that she was in town, or that she was moving there permanently. Mandi reached the last tree limb, finally. She wasn’t sure why it surprised her how hard it was to climb a tree in heels. She reached for the bottom of the window, praying to God that he left it open the same way he used to when they were kids. Mandi clutched her fingertips underneath the rough wood before she jerked it up quickly. “ Natey!” she yelled through his window in a strained voice. Mandi stretched her right leg out as far as she could, placing it into the safety of Nate’s room before she held onto the tree branch with her upper body and eased her other leg into his room. Once her lower half was in she pulled her luggage into the room, and quickly untied the pizza with the twelve pack of beer attached to it. Once inside she dropped to the ground and laughed before she looked up at him where he was in his bed. “ … I swear that was easier when we were kids”. Mandi sat there for a few moments before she sat up, brushed her hands on her knees and stood up. She picked up the pizza box and the beer before she crawled onto his bed. “ Natteey!” she said again, though this time with excitement instead of warning that she was coming into his room. Mandi dropped the pizza on the bed by his head and set the beer she had chosen for him on his nightstand before she wrapped her arms tightly around her best friend. “ Oh my gosh, I’ve missed you so much”. Mandi kicked off her heels before she moved comfortably underneath the comforters and scooted closely against the shape of her best friend and clung to him tightly. “ I see your mom got new sheets” she said jokingly before she sat up to kiss his cheek. “ Don’t be mad at me. I brought pizza and beer. Therefore you have to love me,….and let me stay with you until I find a house to buy…” Mandi scrunched her nose as she watched him before she smiled happily and rested her chin against his chest. She knew that how close they were wasn’t exactly conventional considering how most male- female best friendships went, but there wasn’t anything between them. He was her ‘ Natey’, and he looked at her with no more interest than he would look at his grandma. It was sort of sad that since her break up with Colt she realized a lot of things- like the fact that she had always felt more comfortable with Nate than she had with Colt. Nate was the only one she had actually allowed herself to talk to about her rape, everyone else got no details at all. He was her rock, shelter and comfort for a lot of things in life and she appreciated the fact that they would always have each other. Outfit

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin As Nathaniel drifted to in his sleep, he missed Esta. He knew that she’s busy doing her thing and being with Stefan and all, so he hasn’t bothered her. Moreover he felt guilty for not doing that. Then again, it wasn’t like they’re dating or anything. He just met her couple days ago and doesn’t know her that well that he should be bothering her. Things are better to be left how they are and not mess with it. The more you mess with it the worse it gets. But in his case, he wanted to hear beautiful voice. He thinks that he’s going insane, he isn’t. He’s calm and doing what he does. Who he really missed other than Esta was his best friend, partner in crime, his bitch, and his whole life….MoMo.
It has been couple years or so since he had last seen her or even heard of her. It’s like he’s missing his other half. They’ve been best friends since they were kids and he loves her so much that he even talked his parents on letting Mandi have her own room at their place. Of course no one would understand what they have and keep telling that they’re going to fall in love one day or one of them might be. It’s untrue and Nathaniel knows that very well. Mandi is like a sister to him. Not really a sister since so many things happened long time ago that brother and sister wouldn’t do. They were drunk and they had their needs. It’s behind them and they’re totally comfortable about it and even jokes about it from time to time. Those crazy times with Mandi he misses. He wished that she would see him when she’s in town this time around.
’Natey!’
Nathaniel heard someone call his name but he was tired and thought he was dreaming. He didn't bother to check if that call was real or not. He didn't like to be bothered much when he's sleeping if it isn't important. Next thing he knew someone was laying next to him, arms around him, talking. He heard few words here and there but was lazy to open his eyes. Nathaniel would know Mandi's perfume anywhere and her touches but he thought that he was dreaming since he was wishing that she would visit him like the old days. Then there was pizza aroma that hit him. He sighed, opened his eyes and saw that it was no other than his MoMo. "Momo!!!!!!!!!!!!" He said surprised and almost jumped. He couldn't believe his eyes that Mandi was there in his room, laying next to him, and moreover in his arms. It was something to take in alright. Nathaniel kissed Mandi's forehead and hugged her. He didn't care that he was in his boxer. She was his best friend and he wasn't ashamed to be in his boxer at all.
Nathaniel let her go and smiled down at his best friend. She looked even more gorgeous he had remembered. He saw that she changed a little but that was something he didn't care. Mandi was still and always will be his best friend. No matter what situation she is in, Nate will be with her throughout situation. "Of course I love you. Why wouldn't I love you? Don't bribe me with pizza and beer, missy. I will tie you up on the bed and rape your pretty little self." He joked of course on the last part. It was nice to have her back. Nathaniel didn't care if Mandi stayed with him and his family, they love her and she's a sweetheart. Who wouldn't love her? "What are you doing coming through my window? I should really lock my window next time, so that you don't sneak up on me. Use the front door, next time." He was worried that Mandi might've fallen off the tree and gotten hurt, and he wouldn't know about it.

Mandi squealed happily as Nate hugged her, planting a kiss on her forehead. It was so easy to fall back into an old routine with him. She squeezed him tightly, happy to relish in the time that they could share. There wasn’t a single soul in the entire world that she would let get away with calling her ‘MoMo’. “ Oh god, Natey. You’re getting kind of chubby” she said with obvious sarcasm as she pinched the side of his hips where love handles would be located on someone who didn’t work out as often as he did. She winked at him and smiled before she gave him a quick kiss. Placing her hands against the mattress she sat up and jumped down quickly, going over to his dresser. “ Yeah… I’ve slept with you before. I know what I’d be getting myself into, and trust me… to do it again you would have to force me” she said before she wiggled her eyebrows and stuck her tongue out at him. Mandi dug through the drawers of Nate’s dresser and pulled out a pair of boxers, wanting to sleep in something as comfortable as them instead of the shorts that she was wearing, and digging through her luggage required way too much energy at this point and any energy she did have, she wanted to devote to hanging out with Nate. Mandi unbuttoned her shorts before she pushed them down over her hips and let them drop to the floor. Stepping out of them, she looked up at Nate as she started to pull on a pair of his boxers.
“ So you’ll let me stay with you?....Did you miss the part where I told you I was moving here? Permanently. Just like we always planned!” Mandi gathered up all of her hair behind her neck and bunched it up into a messy ponytail before she made her way back to his bed and climbed onto it. “I’ll have to say hi to your family, tomorrow.” she smiled at the thought. She absolutely adored his family, and she was sort of hoping that being surrounded by them would make her feel better about losing her own parents. They’d always thought throughout the years that she and Nate would fall in love, but that just wasn’t in their cards. Sure, he was handsome and she told him whenever she thought he looked sexy, but she thought they were both very good at being able to see the two things separately. Yeah he was hot as hell; that didn’t mean she wanted a relationship. And she knew that he felt the same way about her, as far as not wanting a relationship went. But she knew that he didn’t find her pretty, at least not in the sense that he found other girls pretty. Mandi twisted a cap off of one of the beer bottles before she sat on his bed, with her legs crossed underneath her.

I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Things weren’t different between Nathaniel and Mandi. Same things that would have happened if she was staying there. He was hers and she was his. He was happy to see her again. He had missed her craziness and everything just about her that he wouldn’t find in anyone else. There’s so many things that both of them have gone through, and no matter what they stayed strong and passed through it like flying colors. No friends would’ve done what Mandi has done for him. Or what he has done for Mandi. It just seemed right in a way. Not to mention who things can get when they’re together. Ever since kids they've been doing crazy things and getting away too. But now that they're grown up, who knows what they'll do next.
Nathaniel smirked and tried not to laugh when Mandi told him that he was getting chubby. He knew very well that she was playing around and he doesn’t care if he was. "Really? I think so too. Wanna come tomorrow morning to the gym or a jog in the park with your Natey?" He got up went to his closet for a shorts so that both of them could talk while eating and drinking beers. She was cute no doubt but he didn't think of it that way as other guys would. When he came back from the closet, with his shorts on, he looked at Mandi who was going through his drawer trying to find something to wear. He didn't care. "Shouldn't you be ashamed that you're changing in front of a boy? That too his boxers? What will the girl of my dreams will say about this?" He teased her a little. He wasn't going out with anyone and there was nothing going on with him and Mandi that anyone would mind at all.
Sitting down in his bed, next to Mandi, it was great how things were coming together. But knowing that something was up with Mandi coming to New York and moving permantly meant something seriously was wrong. "Now that you mention it, what's going on, sweetie? Is everything okay? I'm happy that you're back and staying here like we planned but I know you too damn well to know that something is up. I see it in your eyes." Nathaniel won't give up on her no matter what it is. If she needs to rely on him, to hell with it, he'll do what he can to make her life little less sorrow. Looking into her eyes, he knew that he should'nt have rose this subject up since she just came into his room few mintues ago. He couldn't help it, he didn't want to see her sad, and that's the thing with Nathaniel he hates it when he sees his loved on sad, he'll do anything just to bring a smile on their faces. He grabbed the beer from Mandi's hand and shook his head. "You shouldn't be drinking," He said smiling and took couple of sips of cold beer and looked at her as he placed the beer bottle on the night stand.

Mandi lifted her eyebrows as she took a drink from her beer as he suggested going on a run. “ Actually that would be perfect. We’ll need to go to the store first though,I left my sneakers in Los Angeles,”. She smiled as he teased her, questioning her about whether or not she should be embarrassed for changing in front of him and what the girl of his dreams would think. “ Is there a man here?” she questioned lightly as she tilted her head towards him. “ And sweetie we both know I’m the girl of your dreams. Even your mama says so,” she said through a smile, obviously being sarcastic. She took in a deep breath and sighed, watching him as he sat down next to her, just as quickly taking away her beer. She couldn’t go on without telling him,she needed him. “ Okay but don’t be mad at me for not telling you any of this sooner.. it’s just… I’ve had a lot on my plate,” she started off quietly. ‘My mom and dad died last month in a plane crash, coming home from a vacation on their private jet. Riley found out that he has a daughter. The mom died and her will she gave guardianship for his daughter Lily to him. He really wanted to raise her away from prying eyes, so he thought that the best place to do it was in New York since our parents left us all of their properties.So.. a few days ago Riley got hit by a car and lost some of his memories and.. it’s sort of difficult having to answer all of his questions,”
Mandi scrunched her nose as she watched Nate, hoping she hadn’t freaked him out. “Still think I don’t deserve a drink?” she asked with a small smile across her lips. She tightened her ponytail before she placed her hands on her knees and stood up. “ Let’s make hot fudge sundaes… like we used to..” she said , her smile growing brighter. Mandi grabbed his hand and pulled him off of his bed before she quietly left his room. She held onto the railing of the staircase, doing her best to go down into the kitchen quietly. She hummed quietly to herself as she went into his kitchen, making her way easily around his home, like she had spent every night there for the last few years. Mandi found the hot fudge syrup, only really ever caring about that part of the sundae. She twisted off the lid quickly. “Oh,and I broke up with Colt” she said as an afterthought to everything she had just told him. She and Colt had been dating for a year, but he just wasn’t…. the one. She placed her finger along the rim of the chocolate fudge syrup before bringing it to her mouth and licking it off quickly. She smiled at the familiarity of it, placing her finger back in the fudge and scooped off a hefty amount onto her finger tip before offering her hand up to Nate.

I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin A run through the park was the perfect way to get a fresh morning air. Nathaniel loved the fact that Mandi wouldn't back down from anything. There was so much to catch up with her, it's been years since he had talked to her face to face, texts, calls, or emails. Nathaniel laughed when Mandi said that she forgot her sneakers back in Los Angeles. "Stop being such a girly girl, woman. Especially not when I'm around." He murmured little loud for Mandi to hear. It was funny how Mandi went to Los Angeles and comes back little girly girl, but she hasn't changed that much. He picked up his beer, took a sip and played with the bottle. "Yeah. He's sitting right next to you, idiot. If ain't for your Natey, your tiny ass wouldn't be here in the first place. And are you sure that you're the girl of my dreams and not Es---" He caught himself before he could say 'Esta.' Nathaniel doesn't want it about it but about his best friend who looks troubled.
He listened to Mandi carefully, hoping that she wouldn't keep anything away from him. She never has but sometimes it just seems that people tends to forget things easily when they're troubled. Nathaniel couldn't believe his ears on what Mandi had said to him. Never he thought that her parents are dead, that her brother has a daughter and also lost his memory, especially that memory that he has a daughter and the daughter's mother is dead too. It was too much to take in for him, he doesn't know how Mandi does it. If it was him in her shoes, he wouldn't be as strong as Mandi is. Nathaniel pulled Mandi closer to him and hugged her tight, tears coming down his cheeks. "Oh honey. I'm so sorry. Tell me if there's anything I can do to make little better. I might not know what you're going through but I'm proud of how strong you are and how much you portrait yourself like a strong young lady." He kissed her crown and looked at her. Nathaniel wished that he had known this earlier, he would've gone to Los Angeles and gotten Mandi personally instead of her coming alone.
He laughed out loud when Mandi dragged him out of his bed, to the hallway, down the stairs and in the kitchen. He was surprised that she remembered everything in the house. Nathaniel watched her as she got hot fudge syrup out and licked the chocolate. One thing after another, things just weren't right for Mandi and Nathaniel promised himself that he isn't letting Mandi get hurt and will be there whenever she needs him more. "Oh now you tell me everything. Where was your phone when all of this was happening? I could've picked you up from L.A. and had a little road trip from there to here. What did he do that made you break up with him? Other than the fact that he wasn't the one?" Nathaniel shook his head when Mandi offered her finger, he didn't want any at the moment. He just wanted to help her and not her deal with things. Even though it's a death in her family, he feel vulnerable since he can't do anything.

Mandi smiled as he told her to stop being a girly girl. She had gotten girlier when she was in California. But she seemed to think that she had the perfect mixture of girliness, while being able to get down and gritty at the same time. “ Oh funny,” she said dryly but turned her head back towards him. “ For that remark you get to buy my tennis shoes,”. Mandi smiled brightly as he spoke and laughed. “ Aw yay my ass is tiny. And no no, who is this Es- person? Est-ee? Est…er? Spill it!”. She was glad that Nate seemed so eager to take care of her, because honestly she didn’t feel as strong as she was trying to be. She felt like everything in her life was falling apart, and she was just trying to catch all of the pieces as they fell from the sky. But being with Nate helped; he soothed and calmed her. ‘ Trust me, you already are helping’ she said, kissing his cheek absent mindedly. Mandi smiled as she scooped some more of the chocolate syrup onto her finger and ate it, knowing she should have called him while it was all happening.
“ I’m sorry Natey. I know I should have called you. And I almost did… a hundred times. I just had to sort of try and stay strong, for Riley. If I let myself be weak, and let you take care of me, then I couldn’t have been there for him in the way he needed me to be,” she set the chocolate syrup down and did an overly dramatic pout in his direction. “ Pleeeaseee forgive me” she drawled out before she put her hands together in a mercy plea. Mandi reached up and played with the end of her ponytail, trying to evaluate the reasons for which she broke up with Colt. “ Well you and I are best friends and I feel more comfortable with you than anyone else in the world.” she said, as though it was obvious. “ I need to feel myself with the guy that I’m supposed to be in love with, and who is supposed to love me.. I mean it makes sense that I need to have that same close connection, right? “ she looked up at Nate with a hopeful look. She knew she was lost, confused, scared. She didn’t honestly think anyone was capable of loving her, and feared for a long time that she would die an old maid.

I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Nathaniel sat on the kitchen counter as he watched Mandi do her thing. He took a tip of his beer that was still in his hand and placed it next to him. He isn't the God that he would fix everything. It's a way of life and well all he could is be there for her and help her out. So what if she doesn't call him everyday, at least she remembers him, that's all it matters to him. He knew that he should've kept his mouth shut before he even said first couple words of Esta. Nathaniel didn't want to say anything to Mandi right now, maybe another time, right now it's about her and only her. She's his little precious girl in his life. He shook his head, in denial and ran his fingers across his lip like closing a zipper. "I'm not saying anything. I'll tell you tomorrow or something. Okay?" Nathaniel smiled down at Mandi, hoping that she would understand why he isn't saying anything.
Mandi saying that he's already helping her, a smile formed across his lips and his eyes widen in happiness, like a kid. There's a kid in everyone, most people doesn't like to let it come out but Nathaniel....he lets his inner kid come out when he had enough of drama and couldn't handle it. There's nothing wrong being a kid when you're grown up. "Thanks, MoMo." Nathaniel didn't care about anything but Mandi's happiness. He knew that she was right about her not being strong for Riley if he was with her, taking care of her. That's something that he knew that she has do to alone and he can't help it, but be a rock for her. "I forgive you. And I'm sorry for not knowing this earlier. We were out of touch and all but I promise you that I'll be there for you more often now on. What happened, you couldn't blame yourself or anyone. Just be happy that your parents are in a better place than this horrible place. I understand that you're grown but you're still that little chubby best friend." He smiled as memories of Mandi's parents came across his mind. They were lovely and very open minded, they were just amazing in a way that no words could've described them. He would miss them even though he wasn't close to them.
It was true, both of them were comfortable with each other, and other people say that they're a cute couple together. Nathaniel tries not to laugh about it because he and Mandi are just friends and knows that nothing like is going to happen between them. Yes, they hang out together and practically are inseparable like those old married couple who love each other and doesn't fight. It's the same thing, so not in the whole lovey-dovey part. "There's someone out there for you. It's not Colt but someone way better, and sexier. But I get to approve of him next time. I don't want the same thing happened to you in high school. I refuse to let that happen to you ever again. How about blind date, next week?" He made a suggestion with a pretty wicked idea and a plan. He wants to know what she thinks of that.

Mandi had moved on from the chocolate syrup and was now looking through the fridge to see what else he had. She had a few overnight visits to make up for when it came to raiding his fridge. She picked up a bag of the fresh cherries before she hopped on the counter next to him and rested her head against his shoulder. Before they passed away, her parents had joked often about how she would end up falling in love with him, and she knew he put with the same jokes from his parents. “I don’t really blame myself for what happened with my parents I just.. wish that I could be more for Riley.I mean he thinks he has to lead this small family all by himself now.. but..” she shrugged her shoulder casually, not really wanting to approach the subject anymore. And by the way that Nate had pushed off the subject of the girl, she knew that there was no use in trying to get him to spill the beans about it. When he made his mind up about something, that was it. Plus, she really didn’t want to push him into something he wasn’t comfortable with. She liked the idea of him being there for her more often, and she knew that it was also partly her fault that they had lost communication for a bit. But now that she was in New York, she knew they would have no problem keeping their friendship a top priority.
“Sure as hell isn’t Colt,” she said with a smile as she looked back at him. Mandi wasn’t the type of girl to get heart broken over a guy and gorge herself over ice cream because of it. Yeah she liked him, it didn’t work out. Time to move on. She looked at Nate and rolled her eyes as he suggested that she go on a blind date. “ Yeah, I’ll go” she said, eating a cherry as she tried to separate the pit from it. “But only because we both know that you’re full of shit, that there is no guy. And there certainly isn’t a guy that you think is good enough for me,” she said as she lifted her eyebrow to look towards him. “ Plus, you know that I never say no to a challenge. Life’s an open book, right?”.Mandi ate another cherry before reaching into the bag. She found one quickly and tossed it in the general direction of Nate, not really caring if it hit him, or if he tried to eat it mid-air.

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Watching Mandi raid the fridge, remembered when she used to do that when they were kids. Nothing has changed between them, by looking at how they are right now, they're not going to. Not now, not ever. They're really special in their own way and loves each other to death. Nathaniel watched his best friend in a awe way when she got cherries out of the fridge. He had forgotten that he had bought cherries to eat as snacks, but looks like Mandi is eating it. At least they're being used instead of them being rotten in the fridge Putting his arm around her waist, he rested his head on top of Mandi's; thinking what to do next to make her smile or laugh. He can't make her forget anything about that but he has to do whatever he can to bring a smile back on her sweet face and make her life little more easier.
By starting with Riley. He had decided what he had to do in order to make things little back to normal. It might take few months or even years but that's something he will do for his Mandi. "Where is Riley right now?" Nathaniel asked curiously. He wanted to spend little time with Riley, that is if he does remember him. Even though he wasn't close with Riley that much, he still cared about him. Riley was part of his small family. Nathaniel might be guy and he hated every guy that Mandi dated, because, well they weren't right for her. Colt wasn't right for her and neither were other guys that she dated in the past. "I know that he wasn't from the beginning. I wanted to tell you that he wasn't but how could I stop you when you told me that you were dating him. Just that excitement in your voice, didn't want to break your little heart." He smiled down at her and tried not to laugh about it. It was like this between them. He would become a girl for Mandi, if she ever wanted to have a girly talk. Even though she wasn't like that---girly girl type like all the girls at her age.
Nathaniel laughed on what had Mandi said about him. He wasn't full of shit but she loves him and he knows that. He pushed Mandi away and shook his head lightly. "And you're a whore. But we can't do anything about that. Now can we?" Nathaniel smirked, waiting on something Mandi to do. He was ready on whatever she was going say or do. Nathaniel opened his mouth wide when the cherry was thrown in the air. He caught the cherry by his teeth and smiled at Mandi as he chewed it. "Stop throwing food at me. Bad manners. Tsk tsk." He spit the pit in the sink and looked back at Mandi. "No one can take you away from this guy. You know why? Because this guy, Natey, is taking you shopping for you blind date with a very special guy. I hope you love him." Nathaniel was sure enough that she'll like the guy that he has in mind for her. He's someone that knows his way and is certainly isn't like guy out there.

Mandi smiled as Nate wrapped his arm over her waist and laid his head on her own. She’d always felt comfortable with him, and there wasn’t a doubt in her mind that he was the Will to her Grace in their weird friendship. She ate a few more cherries before he asked about Riley and finished chewing, spitting the pits into her hand before she dropped them in the sink. “ He leaves the hospital in a few days to go home, at my parents old place on the upper eastside” she said. She knew that Nate knew where it was, since that was the home she lived in during the summers. “ I’m not really sure where I want to move to though,” she said quietly. She hadn’t really put too much thought into it, and it was basically because she was scared of what her life was going to be like once she was honestly on her own and attempting to be independent. What if there was a fire, or a burglary, or worse a spider. It would take commute time for Nate to come and kills spiders for her. She sighed dramatically, drawing it out, as he said that he knew Colt had been wrong for her from the start. ’ Yeah but he was really good in bed,” she said bluntly before she looked back at the bag of cherries and decided to eat a few more.
Mandi scoffed when he called her a whore, completely unoffended. “ Actually we did do something about that, slut” she said with a smile across her lips before she popped another cherry into her mouth. She chewed up her cherry and stuck her tongue out at him to show him her food when he claimed that she had bad manners, trying to outchild him.Mandi laughed as he said that he was taking her shopping. She slid off of the counter easily and did her best to drawl out a southern accent. “ Oh my my…. My prince Nate has agreed to take me out on a shopping spree. Do you mean it,sir? You’ll take me from rags to riches?” she brought her hand up to fan herself before doing a small spin on her toes against his kitchen floor. Mandi smiled and shook her head at him before she stepped on her toes and kissed him quickly; the same way a younger sister who was trying to annoy her brother would. " By the way slick, I don't do "love". " she said, pointing at her eyes before pointing back at Nate's with a small smile.

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin All those name callings for each other, was a regular thing that doesn't hurt either of their feelings. They're both adults who know when they're playing and when they're not. Nathaniel doesn't call names to someone if he doesn't know that person that well. In Mandi's case, he knew that he wouldn't able to get away with name callings from her. Always expecting something in return. "Oh. Okay. Um....who's picking him up? How about we visit him and stuff? Welcome him home with your style? Decorate the place with a huge banner that says 'Welcome Home?'" To Nathaniel, when someone comes home from hospital or something he always want the place to be decorated. He's just like that.
Nathaniel looked at Mandi when he heard where she'll live and all. He doesn't want her to leave him or his place. There's barely anyone home during the day and by dinner everyone's home. Well mostly everyone that is. Nathaniel isn't going to let Mandi stay alone anywhere. The city wasn't really a place for Mandi, or so he thinks. She's not a girly girl but she dresses like a girl. She's in the middle, who doesn't care if she breaks a nail while changing a flat tire in a dress and heels. That's one of the million things he loved about Mandi---she was tomboy-ish, open about everything, and fun to be around. She's one of a kind. "You're staying here. That's final. Period. End of discussion. I'm not letting you out of my sight ever." Nathaniel was scared knowing that something will happen to her and what she's going through, there was no way in hell that he's going to let her stay alone in a apartment or a condo. He had decided and isn't going to change his mind for one bit or any excuse. Unless the excuse is a good one.
Nathaniel rolled his eyes at Mandi as she talked with a Southern accent. What was he going to do without her? He doesn't know what his life would be like if Mandi was in it. Maybe complicated and too simple. "Why yes. I'm going to make you my princess and sweep you away in a white horse." Nathaniel slid off the counter and stand in front of Mandi, really close like he was about to kiss her. "Wow you're horrible. And love? You'll see. Sweetheart, it's part of life, you know that. " Taking couple steps back while smiling down at her. Nathaniel being Nathaniel, he has something in store for Mandi which he hopes that she'll love.

Mandi smiled as she listened to Nate talking about Riley and making plans on how to make him feel more welcome about coming home. “ I’m sure he’d love all of that,” she said honestly with a slight nod of her head. “ I’m not sure who is picking him up, but if I wanted to I don’t think anyone would argue with me.I mean I’m his sister.. we can just have everyone meet him there for the welcome home party or something. But remember he has a daughter so we have to make sure it won’t be too much for her or something,”. She couldn’t help but laugh at him as he told her that he wasn’t letting her out of his sight. “ Easy Kojo.” she said with a smile across her lips. “ Look if you’re really that worried about me, let’s just get our own place. We could get a penthouse basically anywhere. You’d be able to keep your eye on me, while I get to live a luxurious New York lifestyle. It’s a win-win,” she figured she had made herself a pretty solid case, but just incase… she pouted out her bottom lip and did her best to do a puppy dog frown at him.
Mandi placed her hands on her hips as he stood close to her, only inches away. She watched him as he spoke to her and lifted her eyebrow slightly. “ Natey you of all people know that I don’t get ‘swept’ away,” she said with an obvious tone. She did her best to feign a serious face as he crept closer to her, almost close enough to kiss. She parted her lips and stayed motionlessly for a while before she snapped her jaws at him as though she were going to bite him and pointed her finger at him. She rolled his eyes as he told her that love was a part of life. “ Love is not a part of life. It’s something that women tell themselves exists that way they can trick themselves into believing that someone out there would be willing to give up anything in the world for them. You know what a real part of life is? Puberty. And I’m really hoping you get the chance to experience it someday”

Packed up in here wall to wall and
I don't hear nuthin but ladies callin Nathaniel wanted to call his brother and tell him to get things fro Riley's homecoming party, since he was out wondering somewhere in the streets of NYC with his new girl in his arms or hitting the clubs. Who knows what his idiot brother would be doing this time of the night. Whatever it was he told himself that it could wait til morning to get things ready. "Go and text or call them that you're picking your brother up. And leave the rest to me. I get to meet his little girl! You know how much I love kids and I can't wait to have kids of mine own." His face and eyes lit up like a kid in a chocolate shop. Nathaniel loves kids and he can't wait to have them when he's married. He doesn't care if he has girls or boys as long as they're beautiful and kids, he could careless.
His own penthouse? Or theirs? That never came across his mind before, now that Mandi suggested he just might take that suggestion and make it happen. It wasn't a bad idea, both of them living under one roof and he could just take care of her, that way she doesn't have to find a place of her own and he could stay with her. He didn't want to leave his parents' place til he was married. Nathaniel had planned everything after he gets married, where he's going to live, what job he'll have, what kind of house, every detail. He wants to make his wife happy. "Fine. Fine. You win. We'll go penthouse hunting afterwards." Mandi didn't had to do her puppy face, it was going to work without it but he couldn't stop her, she looked like a kid. A happy kid that wanted something badly.
Nathaniel grabbed his beer in one hand and pulled Mandi in other. He looked into her eyes, deep, like he was looking for her soul. He found something that he was looking for and what Mandi said wasn't true. "Look into my eyes and say that all over again. Babe, you'll know when you feel love when you're in love with someone. Mark my words, when you do fall in love with the right person, he'll leave his world and rock yours." Nathaniel might sounded gay but it was true and what he believed. Love is his weakness and his strong point at the same time. He hasn't found the one and isn't looking for one right now---he has a feeling that it might be someone that he knows.
