Kat squished her head against Logan’s stomach again, trying her best to be comfortable. But he had that damn phone in the air and was mesmerized with it like it was the reincarnation of his first wet dream. “ Logan, please” she whispered quietly, trying to mash him into being a perfect pillow. But it was too difficult. He wasn’t being very cooperative. “ Ugh!” she said, finally giving up and laying her head against the floor. She tilted her head, thinking she heard someone saying ‘psst’ but after a few seconds it was quiet so she laid her head back down. Okay, she was hearing things. But there it was again, and this time it was calling her name. Kat sat up and looked out the door towards the bunks where she saw Flyzik sticking out his stupid beautiful head. She weighed her options, looking at Logan who was lost in his own world, before she crawled on her hands and knees out of the lounge so she wouldn’t make any noise and made her way over to the bunk. “ What?” she whispered as she climbed in since he had pat the mattress. Once she was inside she turned her back to him, trying to slowly as she could close the curtain on his bunk before she turned to face him, stealing all of his covers. She was tiny, she got cold easily. “ What did you want?” she asked again quietly, pulling the covers up over her shoulders as she looked over at him.

Matt scooted over and made room for her as she crawled into his bunk, turning to shut the curtain and then stole all over his covers. She laid back down, asking him what was it that he'd wanted? Why did he get her to come all the way over here? Matt though for a moment, why DID he ask her to come in her? All he knew was that ever since he'd made out with her he regretted throwing her off of himself because one, she probably felt shitty about it too, and two, he kept thinking he kind of would like to make out with her again sometime soon. And not throw her off. And now that he was thinking he was pretty much into her and everyone probably knew it, he didn't care who saw. So he probably wouldn't be throwing her off again. Matt laid his head back against the pillow, say quietly so as not to wake up any nearby sleepers, "I didn't mean to throw you off like that earlier," he paused in the dead silence, but she was still listening, "I just, you know, wasn't expecting us to, and then, you know, wasn't expecting Shane to, ...yeah." He took a deep breath, turning his head to face her though they really couldn't see anything in the dark anyways, "Sorry I handled it really badly."

Kat listened to the white noise that came along with living in a tour bus. The sound of the city outside, other people trying to get some rest in their bunks. She licked her lips, watching him as he laid back comfortably in his little home for the tour, which he had invited her into. “ But you did..” she whispered back quietly. For some reason, that was part of it that all felt so exciting. He was her boss, she was his, they were whispering so no one would overhear them. It wasn’t smart, and at least just for the moment some part of him was hers. “ It’s fine, and.. look Flyzik…. Matt” she said, softening a little. “ You’ve known me for years. And we’ve been drunk together how many times? There was no reason for you to notice me before, and look I get it.. you’re on tour with these guys, you’re just like them. If a girl likes you, you’re going to hook up with her. That’s the way of the game, so I’m not mad at you. But . just tell me, what is it? Like.. I sort of feel like you’re worried that I’m not Malibu Barbie. Matt Flyzik would never be with a girl who had world of warcraft tattoos, uses Flintstone gummy vitamins, dreams of having a kitten named Sparta, plays video games, eats cheetos… why would you? Look at you. To be fair.. I didn’t notice you right away either.. but I was in a relationship and.. everything was sort of..” she said, trailing off slightly since she wasn’t sure how to finish off. “ I’ve been in one real relationship, and one starter off relationship. Tyson and Shane are the only ones that I’ve sort of.. let my walls down for. Not that I haven’t dated other guys just.. those are the notable ones. And I’m not sure.. what you’re looking for. I mean, I’ve had more time to process this than you have. I mean for the last six months I’ve had a crush, getting butterflies every time you said my name and just hoped that it wasn’t work related though ninety-five perfect of the time it is, and when it wasn’t it was “ can you pass me that drink”. You have.. no idea what you do to me. And it’s .. the dumbest things,” she said with a small smirk. “ You scrunch your nose when you get worried one of the guys is going to fuck things up on stage. And um when you’re deep in thought you bite onto your lip ring.. It’s.. adorable. And um. You mouth along to the words of your favorite songs when you think no one is looking. You have no idea how handsome you are, which makes you more handsome. Every time you take your headset off you stretch.. like that signifies the end of your work day. And the most adorable thing of all.. you get this sparkle in your eye that’s unparalleled with when you get excited about something.. like a little kid going to Disney world for the first time. And it’s the very reason I try to get someone to surprise you with Mickey Mouse related things at least a few times a week. I’m trying to give you reasons to be happy, even if I don’t get to be the girl that is the reason for .. ‘the sparkle’. Even if I get to just be the stupid girl who hands you a beer” she whispered, propping her hand into the side of her hair as she looked over at his shadowy figure in the darkness.

Matt lay perfectly still, not wanting to miss a word of what she was saying. He hadn't realized that she'd noticed him that much, for that long, picking up on his habits, doing things just do get a smile out of him. Was he seriously that oblivious? I mean, what, did he just put his headset on for the day and it was like he put on his blinders too? He seriously had to stop and take a look around more often, because his tunnel vision was making him miss out on a lot of good things, could be great things. And he almost found it humorous that Kat would think that she wasn't his type. She was exactly his type, couldn't she plainly see that? It was funny that she had this perception of him, because of who he toured with. He toured with All Time Low, that must mean girls loved him, that must mean he got laid all the time. But he was just the tour manager, not part of the band. Girls didn't flock to him like they did the other guys, and if they did, half of the time he was engrossed in his work and had to politely brush them off. It wasn't like he had a completely dry spell... but he knew people thought he got a lot more ass than he actually did. And the few girls he slept with? Never random chicks on tour. Mostly when they were playing shows close to home or if he ran into people he had known. Girls he'd known for a few years or so. Pretty much the same small handful. But what did Katy think he was, rico suave? He was just the tour manager. Matt let her finish and then shook his head, smiling in the dark, "Barbie isn't realistically proportionate, and it bothers me. Have you looked at me, I'm not her type," he laughed slightly, "Tattoos, lip ring, gauged ears... I'm not exactly Ken." Matt turned to look at her in the dark, sensing that she was looking back at him thought they couldn't see much, "Honestly? You're kind of exactly my type... I just didn't see it. Like you said, you were dating Shane, off limits, and then since then, I just..." Matt sat up, "Look I don't mean to ignore you on purpose, I just get focused doing something and I'm not easily distracted." He laid back down, offering a small chuckled, "If you want my attention, just let me know," after pausing for a second he added, "You're totally my type." And it was true, she was. And it was flattering that she thought so highly of him, telling him he was handsome, when she probably didn't realize that she was gorgeous and perfect on her end too. So they weren't Ken and Barbie, but they were good for each other.

Kat tried to watch him in the dark, disagreeing with him instantly. He was Ken. To her ‘Barbie’ didn’t just mean blonde hair and big boobs. Everyone had a perfect opposite sex specimen in their minds. ‘Barbie’ was just a metaphor for the perfect specimen in their eyes. Which is exactly why he was wrong about being Ken. In her eyes, he was. “ Matt,.. you are someone’s Ken” she said while still whispering so no one could hear them. It was so strange now, laying next to him. It would be so easy to reach out and let her fingers touch his, .. fuck or anything else for that matter. And now she wanted to. Really, really, really bad. Really bad. Kid going to Disney World bad. But maybe not touching him was just as good. Kat lifted her hand and held her fingertips barely over his body, imagining that she was able to just touch him and get away with it, “ Matt,” she said quietly, curling her fingertips towards his skin without touching him. “ I want your attention,” she added. She moved against the mattress uncomfortably, unsure if whether or not she was going to invade his space before she pulled her body close to his and fit against his frame.

It was interesting to Matt but a good thing at the same time that they could talk out whatever it was that happened earlier that evening and be able to still hang out now and it not be too awkward. Still a little bit, but not bad. And just the fact that they could say what was on their minds and not feel weird about being open about stuff was good. The real test would be to see how they felt about all this tomorrow, but in the mean time things were a-ok. He couldn't help but smile when she said he was someone's Ken. Her's maybe? "Yeah?" Maybe she was right, it was quite possible that he was. Kat had leaned over, telling him she wanted his attention and then had curled up against his side, so he only did what felt like the normal thing to do and wrapped his arm around her before settling back in. It was warm from their shared heat under the blankets, and Matt lay they, staring up at the ceiling of his bunk. He gave the smallest of laughs, quietly responding, "You have it."

Zack laid in his bunk, staring at the ceiling of it as he tried to figure out what his next move should be. Natalie seemed to be okay with at least the idea of doing things at his pace. So if she was willing to sort of make things work for him, he could do the same, right? But at the moment, he was far too busy listening to Flyzik and Kat’s conversation. They were all hush-hush but what sense was there in hiding it? It was cool with Shane, game on bro.And by the way they were talking – it sort of sounded like it was. Zack sat up in his bunk and walked out along the quiet tour bus. He stepped over a few bodies before he found Natalie, nudging the side of her hip with his foot. When she seemed to rouse herself from her sleep, he tilted his head back to his bunk to gesture for her to come with. When Zack got back to his bunk he set up pillows on opposite ends of the bunk. One for him. One for her. He pulled his dvd player out of his bag, but the thing was pretty useless. He had one dvd – The Little Mermaid, it was the only one Kat would let him borrow. He put the volume on extremely low and set it down against the mattress to wait for Natalie.

Natalie slept on the couch in the back lounge, with Shane on the floor beside her where he had been when they both fell asleep, discussing how upset Claire would be when their kid ended up with his eyebrows and how excited his parents were. What Natalie's parents said when they heard, what Natalie thought about it, how they couldn't believe it seemed it was just yesterday since they were kids, goofing around on Christmas Eve, at birthday parties racing tricycles down her street when they were five and he got to visit for two whole weeks during the summer and it felt like their entire lives back then. Shane was going to be such a good dad, she knew it. He was such a kid at heart, his and Claire's kid would not miss out on anything. Natalie thought it was sweet that they'd found each other and while they hadn't planned their situation, she secretly thought that it was a blessing, meant to be. They wouldn't be expecting a child if someone in the big house didn't think they could handle it and would do good for them. Maybe some people were meant to find love while they were young, prove they could make it through whatever got thrown their way. Perhaps it was time Natalie start to search for something more like that, something lasting and worth while. That had been what she had been thinking when she fell asleep. She had been woken back up though, her eyes sliding open and picked her head up off of her arms, seeing the tall shape of Zack in the dark lounge. She climbed to her feet, walking softly behind him and crawled quietly into his bunk, her hair messed up from sleep and asked groggily, "Is that the little mermaid?" she looked at him hopefully and decided he was perfect for only finding that movie to watch. She laid back against the pillow, her eyes threateningly heavy, but wanted to stay up a little bit longer to watch with him. He'd gone out of his way to let her sleep with him in his bunk, she didn't want to fall asleep and not enjoy the moment. "I love this movie," she mumbled quietly, curling up under the covers, pulling them up to her chin.

Zack looked up as Natalie slid in through his curtain. Well, first girl to climb into his bunk. She was already breaking barriers and didn’t know it. He placed on an uncomfortable grin, barely parting his lips. “ It’s the only one Kat would let me borrow” he said quietly, pressing the button to start the movie before he placed it down on the mattress again. “ The idea of falling in love with a fish..” he said, giving his head a solemn shake. Travesty. Waste. Tragedy. He looked over at her, seeing her curled up in his blanket. Well, at least his sheets would pick up whatever perfume she wore. “ So um..” he said, trying to think of anything to spark a conversation with her. That was the point of this right, getting a chance to know her better. “Do you.. have a favorite disney movie? Don’t say Mulan. I hate that one. “ he added, knowing it was dumb to actually hate a Disney movie. But he did. Mulan was stupid. And pointless. Who cared? But he was trying here.. Zack coughed uncomfortably, scratching the side of his head as he added, “ My favorite is Fantasia… there’s no talking…”

She smiled when he explained it really was their only movie option, “That’s okay, it’s a good one.” She finished his sentence, commenting about falling in love with a fish, “… is awesome. Besides, she’s only half fish.” She yawned tiredly, “I don’t really get it though, does she have a set of lungs, how does she breathe in and out of the water?” She watched as the movie started the opening scene with the seagulls and the dolphins and they were all in packs of three for some reason, and then when Prince Eric’s ship comes out of the mist… Natalie thought for a moment when Zack asked her what her favorite Disney movie was before she told him, “I think my favorite one is Pocahontas. I don’t know why, when I was little I thought it was really plausible that someone could have a raccoon as a pet.” When Zack told her his favorite was Fantasia, Natalie actually let out a quiet giggle, finding it quite hilarious and ironic that Zack, boy of little words would like the one Disney movie with absolutely no words whatsoever. So funny. She glanced over at him from her side of the mattress, “That would be your favorite. Do you also like Charlie Chaplin movies?” she teased lightly. “I always liked them, no words but there’s no trouble understanding what’s going on. I suppose words aren’t always necessary…” she also supposed he would have to agree with that.

Zack smiled when she gave her reasoning for liking Pocahontas, and had to agree. A pet raccoon, come on. Only Zack had never had pets. Allergic to every damn one of them. He gave a small nod to show is agreement with her. He watched the opening scene and then smiled, looking at her as she questioned whether or not he liked Charlie Chaplin movies. He did, as a matter of fact. They were better than the movies today. People got so hung up on words, obsessed with saying the perfect things, upset when it came out all wrong. But who gave a shit? Actions spoke louder than words anyways. Always had, always would. Which is why instead of verbally agreeing with her, he brought his hand up to his face, scratching the back of his finger against his nose before he slid over just a few inches to be closer to her. He adjusted his shoulder, working up the nerve to just try and be comfortable, loosen up. He open and closed his hand a few times, almost like he was going to die from being anxious before he turned his neck to the side and pop it. If Kat and Flyzik could take a step forward, so could he. Man up, quit being a little bitch. Zack reached out and placed his hand over her small delicate one, wrapping his fingers around hers as he looked back at the portable dvd screen.

Zack didn't give very many verbal responses but he did respond. You just had to watch for them, like when she said she liked Pocahontas, and he would just nod, or talking about Chaplin movies, instead of just saying he liked them too, he just... scooted a little bit closer. He had his own sweet little ways of getting his thoughts across to her. If he was freaking out yet, he sure didn't show it. Natalie was quiet for a moment, focusing on the movie and blinked a few times just to wake her eyes up a little more. You could say it took her completely by surprise when she felt his hand over her own, wrapping his fingers around hers gently, just keeping his eyes on the movie. But the littlest thing that wasn't a big deal to anyone else, holding someone's hand, but was a big deal to him, was heart melting and a grin spread across her face. The littlest thing like that, just melted her heart, alright. He was such a sweet heart. She found her self watching him watching the movie, studying his features, so difficult to read. This was the same guy who didn't even like seeing a bra strap, but you would never know just by looking at him if this was freaking him out, or if that was hard for him, if he was nervous, just how much he had to pep talk himself before he did that. But he had. If he turned and looked at her right this second, she'd probably look so goofy, just laying there smiling at him, so slowly she turned her attention back to the movie. But for some reason, she had a feeling this would be a moment she wouldn't be able to forget.

Shane had coughed in his sleep, waking Logan up briefly. He rolled over finding his phone on the floor near him. He hadn't seen it for a few hours, he'd forgotten he was texting Blake. He picked it up, seeing one unread message from her regarding Kenzie and how Logan had said she looked exactly like Blake. "Well you and her have a lot in common too, like my heart". So there it was. In his muddled, half asleep, still partially intoxicated mind, he knew he still loved her deeply, and she loved him. They were just in this place that was kind of confusing and a little bit complex. But the love was still there. He was sorry he hadn't told her earlier when they dropped her off that he loved her. He could have so easily said it, and he'd had wanted to, but he just didn't. Somewhere he justified that he was doing her favor by not saying it, not wanting her to hurt more than she was. But at the same time, not saying it could possibly hurt just as much. he was sorry he didn't tell her he loved her, which was why he typed back, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you" and with out thinking about it or catching the fact that his text consisted of a half thought out message that didn't make any sense unless you were in his brain right then, he hit send, and by the time the text went through, Logan's head was already on the pillow, eyes shut, drifting back off to sleep, an image of Blake ingrained in his mind that was basically not erasable.

The next morning Blake was just finishing her second cup of coffee when Logan showed up at her hotel room door, looking like he had gotten into a fight with the front end of a semi truck and lost. “ You look rough” she said, holding Kenzie over to her ex-husband. She watched him suspiciously, wanting to ask him what he had meant by his last text message, wondering when he had passed out last night, what was going on inside that ridiculously good looking head of his. “ Alright well um.. I’ll just be with Shane and Mack,” she said, leaning down to kiss Kenzie on the top of her beautiful curly hair. She licked her lips and took a step back, biting down against her lip as she tried to think of how to best express what she was thinking to him. “ About last night..” she started off, looking from Kenzie to Logan and giving a small smile. “ I don’t expect anything. We got a divorce so you could sort of… find yourself, I think. Have you started looking?” she asked with a slight lift of her eyebrow. She looked past Logan and towards the exit to the hallway.. and probably to a very much hungover Shane. She knew he was bullshit about taking his vitamins and eating healthy, but today he was hers. And if that meant he was taking shots of wheatgrass, that’s exactly what that son of a bitch was doing.

Logan waited after he'd knocked on Blake's hotel room door, fighting back the pulsing head ache that seemed to work its way beyond his head and all over the place. Like he could feel it pulsing practically in his toes. Well, he got what he signed up for, but it had been worth it. He hadn't felt so relaxed and at ease since before he started the label. He made a promise to himself to sit down for at least five minutes a day and remember to act his age every once in a while. Which meant not being such a stiff and having fun. Logan was relieved though when Blake opened the door, saying he basically looked like death, but Logan grinned that old lopsided grin that he used to wear, and hadn't seen in a while now that he thought about it, and said, "Eh, I'm alright." Logan took Kenzie from Blake, kissing her baby cheek and wrapped his arms around her. He nodded when Blake mentioned what her plans were, "You know where to find me," which was on the bus re cooperating. He looked at Blake, asking him he he'd started looking. He thought he had. This may have been the first time he had, just the beginning, but it was still a start. He smiled, nodding. Affirmative, he had. He thought he had a pretty good idea of what he might find, but he could only wait and find out. And this trip was probably a good start. He wasn't sure what things would be like back home but he figured they'd be at least on the way to being on the right track. He knew what he wanted, but what he wanted probably wouldn't take him until he was convinced he felt like himself again. So. Only time would tell.
